Morning Ian, another cracking ride, made fun with the “diversion” 😂 always challenging when you get a road closed, though you usually end up finding something interesting, I’m definitely with you on the Keis heated clothing, wouldn’t be without it now 😂 all the best buddy 👍
I enjoyed part one so much I thought it would be rude not to watch part two straight away and it's definitely been worth it. Best go and comment on part one now 😊
Thanks Mal. The utilities/communications companies seem to be doing that a lot up here. Now if only the rest of the road was as smooth as that section, we would be very happy 🤗😉😂
Thanks Malcolm. The next is more lanes, still running in, and more moans about the Beeline I no longer have 😂 Going home for a couple of days tomorrow, so will try to get out on a quick run around the block 😎
Well, that’s me caught up with your vids. Enjoyed both of them. Had some good times in the Howgills for sure. You’ll defo luv that road to Kirkby Steven though but. As usual great banter and stunning scenery. Thanks bud. Neil. Ps, the Rover was a P4.
Thanks Neil, I don’t think you are quite caught up yet, just released another 😂. The Howgills are awesome, the way the Syn casts shadows, very eerie. Definitely need to get up and around Kirkby Stephen. Cheers
I've always thought that for a major trunk road the A6 over Shap was far more interesting than most. Always stop at that lovely chippy in Shap when I'm over there, lovely restaurant. It can get brass monkey up there that's for sure.
Thanks Ian, it was bloody cold 🥶😂. Yes, both the M6 and A6 there are stunningly beautiful, but I guess from a viewing perspective, it might be a tad boring 🥱😂
I enjoyed both videos Thanks Ian , From my armchair i could smell burning? no doubt it was your feet. Was in that area a number of years ago, walking the Coast to Coast Path. (196 miles) Yes Kikby Stephen area is also worth a visit nice roads to ride.Until the nextv time, Mike Sunny Wales
Thanks Mike. I really need things to get back to normal, so I can get some up to date vids done, just so busy down here at the moment. Walking, far too healthy for my liking 😂. A few years ago I did some nice rides around Kirkby Stephen, on my Interceptor. Will have to take Scorpio up there. 😎
Hi, yes, they are kind of messed up. Sorry about that. It didn't help that I did a ride dedicated to my dad after he passed away. That was done after the first service, but I had these others in "the bank", as due to trying to sort my dad's affairs out, I wasn't able to get out on the bike. That said, there will be one more "running in" vid to come out tomorrow, then on Monday, we are up to date with a current video. Phew, I hope that makes sense 🤣
It really was mate 😪 Monday's video is an up to date one, but there will be a bit of a gap after that, as we have the funeral on Tuesday, then we will stay with mum for a while before heading home again.
Hey is it the DJI audio adapter with DJI mic? The exhaust sounds are well captured though…. Which action camera do you suggest GoPro Hero 13 or DJI osmo action 5 pro
I wouldn’t recommend a Go-Pro, too unreliable. My experience is only with the Osmo Action 3, but I will get a 4 sometime. As for the audio…..it is the DJI audio adapter, and a cheap Hama VSOP Notebook mic, which was bought off Amazon, but sadly no longer available. I have seen them pop up occasionally on eBay. They are ideal, as they are not too “hot”. I do have the DJI lav mic, but would have to set the recording volume to -10/-12, and heavily increase in editing, even then, I fear we may still suffer with clipping. I had considered buying a wireless mic 2 when I bought the OA4, but the sound is just too sterile to me. Hope this helps.
@ true, thanks for the inputs, I love the way sound is captured on GoPros, I hope DJI with audio adopter and a good mic should be similar to that or better. Like you said you have action 3, I guess you are using it from a long time, do you have any issues with it? Do you recommend Dji action cameras
@SakleshpurJune2024 I have had my 3 for nearly two years. Only had a component let me down once, and that turned out to be the sd card, NOT the camera. I have used different audio set ups, this was one of my earliest attempts ua-cam.com/video/DRyU78s705k/v-deo.htmlsi=rNdbtJaEGh-MFugU until I discovered the Hama mic. I know of a few other motovloggers, who have made the switch, and are extremely happy with their decision. Another source of information, is Dave at “wheelie good tv” youtube.com/@wheeliegoodtv?si=eSZu8f3iVNJPbplJ he is my go too for educational vids on DJI.
@hectorshouse7348 quite agree. The P5B and P6 V8 were my favourite. I almost bought a P5B when I was in my early 20’s. I thought it was so much cooler 😎 than stuff my mates were driving. Mind you, I was driving an Austin A60 Cambridge back then 😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Hmm, memories, Ian! The P5B was a lovely car. My office at Rover was in the middle of the plant. The P5B finishing line and the trim line of the (original, 2-door) Range Rover were one side of the office, with the three Land-Rover finishing lines on the other side. The P6 & P6B were built on the same site at Solihull, but in a different factory. My car at that time was an A55 Farina Cambridge.
Hi Chris, this brown one is a Speedwear Gresford Wax Cotton Jacket ua-cam.com/video/MqzOlcO-8TU/v-deo.htmlsi=7xdmnAVDhzvHa_j_ which is now sadly discontinued, however, Speedwear do still have an excellent range, and made in Britain too 😉 Cheers

Thanks Mike, to be honest, it made the ride better having the detour. Cheers
I enjoyed part one so much I thought it would be rude not to watch part two straight away and it's definitely been worth it. Best go and comment on part one now 😊
Thanks James, very nice of you to say 🤗
Jeez Ian that was one hell of a long trench they dug out on that road 😮😂 good watch much enjoyed cheers Ian 👌👍
Thanks Mal. The utilities/communications companies seem to be doing that a lot up here. Now if only the rest of the road was as smooth as that section, we would be very happy 🤗😉😂
Thanks Ian just watched the 2nd part, nice ride and scenery 👍, look forward to the next one.

Some cracking roads and scenery. Be nice to join you on Bumble😊
I might try and organise a run out in the spring, as one or two said they wouldn’t mind joining me. I will have a think 🫣😂
@ it’s a bit of ride for me, with my Crohn’s etc. but it would be super nice. 👌
@weemark67 could make it North Lakes, though I don’t really have any experience of the area, but might do before then.
Riding on that new strip on road at beginning of video as you do.
Smoothest bit 😂
I get a bit confused with dates of some of these. Felt sure I’d watch some with higher mileage on 😊

I’d say yes it was a Rover P4…I’m not sure where the 100 came from…possibly hp? Only made for a short time.
We see it again from behind in the next release. I just googled it, Rover 100 P4……..I got mixed up 😂 Cheers
@ love the old Rovers…well up to the SD1…then not so much
