i'm from jacksonville, Ar. I was raised like you on UAPB. I thought they were the best until i left Arkansas. Which amazes me when i go to places like Central and show them clips like this, and there like....I didnt know!lol!! I passed up UAPB to go to Ala St. I could've played snare for pb. I couldnt even look at one at St. so go figure!lol!
I feel your pride though, because i use to have it. You should've seen how mad i was when i first witnessed P.V., then Ala St. I was like WTF. Why come only a few bandsmen in the Ark area never hear about other drumlines, proably becuase UAPB is all we got! No disrespect but, keeping im keeping it real with you. & dont let this clip fool you, it gets wayyy better!
Yo... This is DragonFly-Jones #4 TTB-FCC... Cincinnati. The startup cadence with the sticking on the rims & backsticking (before Make It Funky) is hot. I remember when it was in the testing stages in '97 when I played on snare. Nice to see you boys got crankin'!!!

I'm having alotta trouble with that quad part on make it funky..my schools trying to play it and the only the we dont have down is the quads..can somebody post a quad video of Make it Funky, it'd be greatly appreciated
I've notice that the Cymbal players(in most of the videos offered on YT) are in front on the snares. Is this a Tradition, or just on occasional blocks? It seems to hinder the visuals of the snares. Just my observation. Much Respect. All drumlines have different Traditions.

I have some advice to the band members of Alabama State Unversity. You do not have to prove yourselves to anyone. Just continue to take your craft seriously and perform in excellence at all times. That in of itself will speak volumes for you.Represent ASU well for a Bama Girl living in TX!!! just my Blue cents worth!!!

I'm a Drummer in the Marching 100 and you're right it does sound a lot like the Rattler in the beginning but hey they gave credit so ...but the whole part about gettin in front of us, think again!

Not being biased becuase i like KRANK, and they are one of the better drumlines in the swac, but bruh all jokes aside keeping it A-STATE 100 with you, KRANK knows they damnselves they cant see TTB.
damn...Y is everything soo slow. I might understand they're trying to be "funk" but damn. I almost fell asleep at 4:60. man seems like snares only play eight and sixteen notes some diddles here and there. They do more visuals than they do actually playing...shit Too repetitive. Every cadence is basically like 8 bars and all they do is repeat it and add the rest of the line or w/e. Idk must be a show line thing or something...
Bama State is one of the most "slept-on" drumlines ... They may not chop as much as some would like them to, but you can't deny how funky they are.
