If you take the money you were paying for rent/etc, you could put that into a decent sized shed/building to at least be able to separate the business from the home. You could always get a van and use that as a 'pop-up' location as well. The combo of the building and van may totally negate the need to rent a building. :)
ur a hustler my dude. i cant see you not making money. from mining to construction to house building to pc store. there be something else and we will be watching. keep going
You do need to be closer to home. A new place closer to home, with a small area for the kids. Get them that LEGO kit that looks like computer parts so they can build along with you. After all, PC parts biz is just adult legos.
I wouldnt get a spot..realesate in america is way over priced..the prices are working their way across the country..some complain about rents in newyork and cali..but its going to be that way everywhere soon..head up and charge forward..
Nah, brick and mortar is over rated. Ran one for six months and the money I spent on rent could have been used for better things. Great decision. Online is the place to be.
There is lots of people who opened some brick and mortar shop, just to close them after a few months, because not enough income, not enough customers, but lots of expenses, travel time and so on. The price jumps in rent are so typical undermining in this business, the landlord tries hard to rip you off (and they also need to make profit, they don't do charity). With your situation I think you should keep on expanding the web shop first, make it doing clear profit, and if you are going to repeat brick and mortar shop, I think it has been said many times that you should be able to run that shop at least 2 years, before the customer amounts start rising. Keep your numbers realistic, avoid making debt if there is no proof of profits.
That rent is too high in knightdale anyway. Save the moneyy and focus on your Family and Online store dude ive been subscribed for a while. Im right up the road from you. i had some questions about starting to mine Doge and LTC. Keep up the posts dude. Hope to meet you one day.
That's how the landlords do it. They rent you space cheap to get you in there with a promise of getting a larger space. Then they start putting up the rates.
Sears closed over 3,500 stores, you only closed 1 and you STILL have an online store, They were once the biggest retailer in the world. In comparison, you didn't do too bad.
I am really sorry to hear this it makes me sad. I was one of the naysayers you mention i feel guilty now. I look at it as a positive for your business for the future though as bricks and mortar is just literally sucking money and profit out of your own small business and giving it to some idiot already rich landlords new Ferrari. Forget it for now - Come back to bricks and mortar when the business is doing really well (and it will do much better now that your not throwing away 500 bucks a month!!) :)
Thats cheap Brandon retail space like that around here would cost you $1800 a month but thats also on main street in town i didn’t see what kind of traffic you get there but to be honest with Amazon I’m shocked you got people buying hw i think brick and mortar is a waste of money
Prices of grocery/goods/services will continue to go up sadly, we still haven't fixed that inflation problem and it will sadly continue to get worst since government and more importantly the people have no say on the matter... Maybe time for a real revolution...
there will be better days, do what is best for you and your family!
Thanks for the update. The online store is awesome. Glad you can make it work out of your garage and stay with the kiddos.
Blessings in disguise.
Been enjoying following your journey, best of luck and I hope you continue winning!
I know that feeling my friend. It’s all good. There will be a better time and you’ll get back to a storefront if that’s what you want 😉

Join the club my friend. I tried the same thing
Thanks for the update my man.
Dang, I never got a chance to see you at the shop. 2 hours away, so it just never happened. Thank you for the great deal on the parts a year ago.
Dang that's a bummer, but atleast you'll be able to be home with the family more now!
Location is everything. Otherwise you'll find yourself with an overpriced storage space.
Ups and downs last year. Better days ahead.
That sucks, never easy.
Man, another chapter has begun!
You got this Shizzzz!! Lesssss Fuhken Gooooooo!!!!
At the least you got a job to create the parking lot . Life experiences and opportunities

Like the greedy people that keep wanting raises at their job EVERY year. Terrible...
That's kind of sad. End of an era for sure. I know that wasn't easy.

Ikr. Loved their sears catalog as a young teen boy. Especially the ladies under garments section. If you know what I mean 😂
add more inventory to your site asap
Yes. Used socks, signed autographs on his pictures. So on. 😅
What is the PC store profitable to keep the lease?
Didn’t make sense with the rent going up so much and my local sales so low I do most online

Made to much with jelly fish🎉🎉
Good move, in person sales are the thing of the past.😊😊
Transitioned to remote years ago and never looked back. Commercial landlords are determined to drive up rents on everyone until there's turnover.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo buddy :(
Looking for another spot
