LIVE 802 Professional 8-Channel / 2-Bus Mixer
The Alto Professional Live 802 is a pro-8-channel, 2-bus mixer equipped with the tools you need to create the perfect mix. With flexible routing options and a multitude of onboard DSP tools, Live 802 fits the demands of nearly any live performance environment. It features 5 balanced XLR inputs with switchable phantom power, 3-band EQs for additional tonal shaping, two aux sends per-channel for external effects and monitoring, and a 9-band graphic EQ for main or monitor outputs. A headphone jack with an independent level control enables additional monitoring and mixing. 60mm faders with LED meters provide precise control and visual feedback for accurate, hands-on mixing. With its diverse connectivity options, Live 802 is ready for any event.
Analog Compression & Superior Sound Quality
Live 802 offers high-fidelity sound and high-quality DSP tools in a single package. Each microphone channel is outfitted with a high-headroom ultra-low-noise DNA™ microphone preamp for unprecedented sound quality and a robust audio signal path. Live 802’s high headroom results in cleaner mixes, a purer signal path, and loud, punchy audio. Onboard analog compression (channels 1-2) helps control dynamics and gel instruments together for a cohesive, defined mix. With high headroom, pristine sound, and built-in dynamic control, Live 802 ensures that the full dynamic range of your mix comes across with striking clarity.
USB Audio Interface
Record your mix directly to a Mac or PC with a single USB connection. Live 802’s built-in USB port allows engineers, producers, and performers to convert two channels of 24-bit audio (Main Mix or Sub Mix 1/2) straight to a computer. Record live performances, band practices, theater performances, speaking events, and any other live sound event onto your computer for additional editing, mixing, and post-production. The USB connection is bi-directional, enabling sound files stored on your computer to be streamed to and played through Live 802.
100 High-Quality Alesis DSP Effects
Live 802 comes ready to handle any mixing situation with premium 24-bit Alesis effects built right into its design. Select from 100 DSP effects that give you additional creative control in any mixing environment. Choose from room and space delays, small and large hall acoustics, plate and spring reverbs, flangers, choruses, and more. The effects presets make it easy to dial in your favorite sound or experiment with different effect settings on the fly.
Color-coded Interface
Often, live sound environments are dimly lit and offer poor visibility to the mixing engineer. Live 802 solves this problem by color coding each section of the mixer and providing brightly colored Dials so you can quickly and easily find what you need to adjust. Blue, green, red, yellow and white pots are instantly easy to identify in low lighting. LED indicators for output level, peak, and phantom power also assist in making sure that you have multiple visual cues that reflect everything you're hearing.

A quick question. Does this support multitrack recording? Thanks!
Another great vid. This unit seems very similar to the Behringer X1222 that I use as my primary mixer. Only difference I see is that the X1222 has 4 compressors adn it has a slider to control the USB volume. As a fan of Alto products, I will be looking into this one. Thanks for the great videos
Hi, could you point me towards the table stand you’re using for the mixer in this video please?
Thank you Expert Island for this great video!
Thank you too!
Another great and informative video.....a lot of what he says can be applied to other brand mixers. Always enjoy watching his videos!
How do I connect a active monitor on stage to this mixer, the monitor/speaker has universal input(XLR or Jack)
Phantom button...what it does??
Hi... I have a couple of Alto ts 115. There is a low volume high hiss when gain is off and only connected to power. I took it to the shop where I got them from and the technician said that this is normal for any speaker. Is this true? If not, then what could be the problem? What do I do to fix it?
so quick question as you have reviewed both.... Mackie PROFX8V2 or this board (Alto Professional Live802) they are very similar. for basic DJ stuff and small live gigs coffee shop type stuff.
Don't know if you got answer to this or not but I have owned both and the Alto destroys the Mackie! Much more headroom and cleaner sound. The Mackie failed after 6 months also, couple channels stopped working.
@@Whitty43 Yes, I use a Mackie ProFX12V2, one channel went out. Im looking for a mixer with 2 Aux sends, for floor monitors. Also with a separate powered Sub slider buss would be very useful. My Mackie sounds ok, but a bad channel after 3 yrs of light use is disappointing.
hy there! Great vid. Seems like you fogot to tell us about how the eq hepls with mike feedback. Great info! aThanks! Salute from Romania!
For Sure your Right Eq is a great way to help lower FeedBack.
Do you have a review on an alto mixer?
Hi I am recording a vocal listening to a backing track but it is picking up the backing track via USB from the mixer how do I eliminate the backing track also being recorded?
I use the same unit at home its great, but my main issue whit this is that it not allows me to put the main mix into the cue. I use this alot on my computer. So when i push the usb to cue and monitor (headphone) to cue at the same time i will lose the ability to hear the main mix and its also producing a noticable pink noise. Its impossible to use for recording cause i cant track my playing/vocal with direct monitoring or the usb input getting into the main mix.
Idk if just me not using the right setting or the mixer that not allow me to, but man ill try everything still like that.
I answer your Question in My New Q&A Video ua-cam.com/video/9OKAefYJhNU/v-deo.html
were do I get the stand from
Thanks for the great video.
Still unclear on the aux/effect issue brought up. It has 2 aux knobs, so couldnt one control reverb on aux1 and aux2 control a single monitor?
hi guys i want to use alto live 802 for a radio broadcast/podcasting. So i want to be able to have seperate control for my studio monitors, for my headphones and for master out going to pc for record purpose. Wondering if i use monitor out for monitors would that not lower the wuality of sound ...mean is that mono output as i use those monitors to listen the music in regular basis. i could use room control but this is joined with headphnes so i wouldnt have separate control for that. anyone can help?
great video !v learned a lot !
