Thanks I needed a little bit of help in replacing the gas outlet from the tank as it was cracked. The video gave a good picture of it. I use to live in Algonquin behind Meijers by the water tower.

Hope you removed that K&N air filter and replaced it. There is a reason why they flow more air. And get rid of those plastic quick disconnects. Replace them with them Stainless steel couplers. They will fail.

Hello! Just wanted to say great video! I have a 2018 K1600B. Took it for a ride yesterday and must have put bad fuel in it at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Running really bad but seemed to clear up enough to get home. 1. I'm wondering if you can tell me why you thought you needed to replace the fuel pump? Did the bike not run or start? I have several fuel pump related error codes in Motoscan now (3A1530 and 3A1062). 2. How did you test the pump to see it was bad once you removed it? You say it was repaired. Did it just have some dirt in it? 3. Lastly, just want to say thank you for making the video! It gives me confidence that I might be able to replace my fuel pump if I end up needing to.

It just needed a little encouragement to clear out some crap that caused it to be stuck. It started right up again when I applied voltage to it and is running great.

You certainly can but very little chance of an issue with this one.

Is there any reason you did not replace the plastic quick disconnect while you were there, as they are known to fail?

I am not sure I didnt change it. The customer may have declined it too. The next time I have one in for that service, I will make a video on it. Thanks!

Bolts fasten unthreaded parts, with the help of a nut. Screws fasten parts that have their own threads. So, those are screws. 🙂
