I've been following Miyavi since 2004, all the way back in his visual kei days. He's only gotten better as he's aged. I remember him having a duel with him on guitar vs a guy with turn tables. Dude is wild.

Thank you for playing MIYAVI! It energizes me just to watch him. Its just him and his drummer who is also plays with lightning speed. It not that speed is the first priority. But now and then its thrilling. I think he is known for his slapping technique. What blows my mind is how fast he plays and can still do his antics on stage! I am so glad you liked him! 👍. This is a funny but absurd thought. One should never discipline with spankings but he has two daughters, can you imagine him giving them spankings and you couldn't even see his hand move? LOL...I have an absurd sense of humor. I am sure he does nothing of the kind. He's a cool guy, What's funny is his wife looks so much like him in the face. They could be twins. And her name is Melody. Perfect.

I love Miyavi. I’ve been following him since I was also a teen since his band Dué le quartz disbanded, and he went solo. I’ve been to every US tour he’s done. He is absolutely brilliant live. He always brings that energy you saw, every song. I don’t know how he does it, especially now in is 40’s!!!! You should definitely react to more of his songs. My favorites are Senor Senora señorita. And selfish love.

I'm so glad you like him! I've been a fan since my teenage years and I'm now in my 30s! He has gone through a lot of different musical style changes (as well as fashion styles!). His earlier work is great as well, I would recommend the song "Selfish Love", it is old but a classic. He still plays it at live shows. I also think it'll be very interesting for you to hear the different styles his music has gone through, hope you react to more Miyavi! :)

Remember when he used to play with a wood guitar instead, the beats he could make with it were so fucking cool.

Don't know if you'll notice a comment on such an old video, but if you want to see a better example of his slapping, "Selfish Love" (and the intro to it) from 2005 is fantastic. He's known for slapping.

He plays great. You should definitely check out Tina S., Especially her "Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement", I doubt you have ever seen a guitar being played like this. I realize that you probably wouldn't do the whole song, it starts to repeat after a while, but it's still worth seeing.

..aah...umm..Faith No More, you wanted to say there, right..? (The li'l vamp from We Care a Lot.)
Hey have you heard of Yoyoka Soma, the almost legendary 11 yo drummer? She played drums for Miyavi, including this song, at the Hibaya Festival in Tokyo this year but there doesn't seem to be any audio or video from it, sadly. But anyway, there's a video of she and BOBO - the drummer in this video - rehearsing it together. It's worth checking out, and pretty funny too..!
