- 25 Beats per Minute Metronome click with beats and 4/4 bars counting.
Grave -- slow and solemn (20--40 BPM)
A metronome is any device that produces regular, metrical ticks (beats, clicks) - settable in beats per minute. These ticks represent a fixed, regular aural pulse; some metronomes also include synchronized visual motion (e.g. pendulum-swing). The metronome dates from the early 19th century, where it was patented by Johann Maelzel in 1815 as a tool for musicians, under the title "Instrument/Machine for the Improvement of all Musical Performance, called Metronome"
This helps me every time to prevent a panic attack 🙏 thanks for that ❤
Thanks for posting. Lots of newer metronomes will only click as low as 35 bpm so this is
great for developing timing by clapping all the subdivisions.
Thanks so much! I'm learning a Bach 3 part invention (#2) which is in 12/8 time. I want to count it in four, but if I try to set a really slow tempo in my head, I find it very difficult to avoid rushing when I get the the 16th and 32nd notes because I have too many things too think about at once -- time, fingering, what notes are to be held, when to release them etc. Invariably, I end up going considerably faster than when I started out. When I play this metronome as I practice, I rush a lot less and am learning the music much more effectively. (I tried setting my metronome at 75 and thinking about it in compound time as I played, but that didn't work well either.) I am confident that once I get everything learned fully at this slow tempo, I will be able to get the piece up to 60 bpm as is my final goal. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for this. I can play a ballad with this on the offbeat. I can't get this slow on my metronome.
