yes do more Doors, they have an incredible library. Wishing you and yours the best ............ peace ....... out. ✌
Radio stations signed off at midnight when I was a kid in 1967. Driving home from work every night that summer, the station I listened to played In a Gadda Da Vida--the long album version--and then segued right into Light My Fire, ending at the stroke of midnight and signing off the night. Wowza, to be that young again.
He was an enigmatic front man and an unmatched lyricist, although a troubled soul he was. More from The Doors pls
Awesome song by a fabulous band!!😅
🔥🔥🔥
When I was a teenager, the Doors were a reference and an identification for me.
Great reaction Blessing!!
You’re so fun and you’re braids and personal style -- just soooo cool!
I really like watching your reactions to different kinds of music from your singers perspective.
Keep up the awesome vids.
Thanks!
Thank you for such a beautiful comment! You are generous in spirit and words thank you ✨
Yeah. I watched this on T.V. with my sister. When he screamed "Fire!!!" it changed our perception of Music.
Our parents were sort of shocked (which we really liked)
Fun and thanks for the Reaction Video.
😄😅
Long version please !
The first and only Rock / Jazz / House / Free Style band of the 20th Century. Trailblazers. Iconoclasts.
All the charisma, presence, and sex appeal of Elvis but with a dangerous edge no one else had had before this. Maybe the ultimate rock frontman.
There's a good video for "Moonlight Drive" from a tv appearance like this one.
No Doubt ... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!
💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
You definitely want to give The Crystal Ship a listen. It's a ballad that Jim showcases his impeccable songwriting and transcendent voice.
Great idea , more Doors! Hard to believe this fantastic song will be 60 yrs old in 2027.Loved it then, still do. Many very good songs by them. Hello I Love You, LA Woman, Love me Two Times, Touch Me and more. I love classic rock. Keep up the good work.i really dig yr channel!
The great Doors
The songs of my misspent youth.
Great commentary on Jim Morrison. I totally agree 💯 with you. You have a nice smile. 😊
Absolutely check out the studio version of the song. It's quite a bit longer and really captures the song and also the artists.
Jim was so mysterious, sexy and charismatic. He was breaking down doors. I suggest Peace Frog or When the music's over.
Thanks
Jim Morrison was so great!!
💯
You always present yourself well. Nice look from a nice person. Your analysis of the music you react to is well done. Keep 'em coming. I enjoy it.
The singer Jim Morrison is a music icon. He’s also in the 27 club. The musicians and actors that tragically died at the age of 27.
💔
One of ROBBIE'S Classic penned songs. Sang by Jim but showcasing the talent of the whole band.
Hello; listen to this version, here Jimbo's voice travels through the bass. Like Sinatra, like Elvis. Greetings from Chile ( React to "The soft parade").

Cool. "Light My Fire" topped the charts for three weeks in 1967. The Doors formed in Santa Monica, California in 1965. This year marks the 60th anniversary of their formation. The Ed Sullivan Show switched to color in 1965, so that clip was not colorized. When you're ready for more from The Doors also check out "Break On Through", "Soul Kitchen", "The End", "Strange Days", "People Are Strange", "When The Music's Over", "Five To One", and "Love Her Madly".
Yes more DOORS ! Please do RIDERS ON THE STORM and LA WOMAN and ROAD HOUSE Blues studio version.,HELLO I LOVE YOU
Jim is the lived true rock and roll life ,never had a real job, a poet
Hi Stan I have 3 from this list

Thanks for the suggestions there are others on the list I haven’t done yet. Thank you
Nothing compares to the studio version
The doors were told not to say we couldn't get much higher, and to change the lyrics, because of drug reference. He's saying it anyways and got banned from the ed sullivan show show. The rolling stones change there lyrics from.Let's spend the night together to let's spend some time together.
Jagger needed the cash
Legend has it, when they finished the song someone from the Sullivan show said you won't play Sullivan again. Morrison responded, "Hey man we just played Sullivan." Almost like he DGAF.
@@Pops-km8xt That is true, I read several books about Jim, and the Doors.
The other part of that is, after the doors left the stage and went back to their dressing room, the guy from the show who originally told them not to say higher, cave story into their dressing room, yelling " you did it!! You said higher!! You'll never play The Ed Sullivan show again!!" Jim Morrison the lead singer just stared at the guy, and just calmly and matter of fact he said, " Man, we just DID Ed Sullivan!!" Classic Jim Morrison.
You need to do the original studio version, in the middle of it, there's an instrumental part that you really need to check out. That they didn't do here because of time.
He was at his best at that time. He passed away at 27
Hello; reacts to "When the music's over" from The Doors (1968; studio version). In this version, Morrison recorded the vocals in a single take; I really recommend it, pay attention to the tension between the silences. Greetings from Guanaqueros; Chile.
When the music's over (1967).
😎. Jim's nickname was "The Lizard King" mainly because he liked wearing leather. React to L.A. Woman or Rider's On The Storm next. Thanks.
Oh no 😅 I love leather too.
Here we have those:

LA Woman:

Did one of the other band members yell "fuck" toward the end? On live TV... in the '60s? Never heard of that before, but it sure sounds like it.
Ed Sullivan didn't want them to sing the lyric "We couldn't get much higher" as he thought it sounded drug related so The Doors promised to change that lyric. Well, Jim ignored the program's request and sang the Higher word. They were barred from ever returning to the Ed Sullivan Show! He was the original bad boy and we loved him!! If you watch the video of "Roadhouse Blues", you'll see the police on stage trying to arrest Jim. He was caught with a fan in the bathroom getting oral sex. He was charged with indecent exposure for that.
This was on the Ed Sullivan Show. They told Jim to change the word higher, but you see he did not. They were never invited back
Halito 👋🏽
Have you done "Roadhouse Blues" yet? That song, "Riders on the Storm," and "L.A.Woman" would be some other ideas, dear. The Doors do make every song unique, but the organ is always a prominent sound in their music. Jim Morrison's voice and the organ in the background always make the Doors' sound distinct.
Yes we have all 3 for the doors ☺️:

@@MrsPenPal Thanks, honey! 🤍
Hi great reaction, you must do this i think you gonna love it... Do Falling in Reverse, "Popular Monster".... (Mind-blowing)
you say you like a good power ballad, if you are woman enough, i DARE you to react to W.A.S.P miss you or W.A.S.P, Golgatha, or if you are feeling extra brave and womanly, do BOTH xD:P hahaha, im playing with you, but honestly, trust me, you will love them and a heads up, have your tissues on the ready, that is if you DO decide to be woman enough to listen to such awesomeness ;) hehe
I've always considered the DOORS better than the boring BEATLES 🌺
It think ii is hard to judge. When the Beatles first became popular, I was a teenager in my native Denmark. My friends and I were into jazz, and although we listened to the Beatles we were not impressed. I liked the Rolling Stones better, they were they bad boys. Then in 1967 (by then I was living in Westport Ct. as an au pair) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely heart came out and that was totally different. The Beatles had different sounds, The White album was great, probably Abby Road is my favorite. However, I liked The Doors from the beginning, and they are still one of favorite groups from back then, the other is The Band.
@@hannejeppesen1809 I completely agree 🥂
no this TV show was in color by then.
That’s lovely
I know you hear this all the time, but this is the version you want, "The Doors - Light my fire ( live in hollywood bowl 1968 HD ") ua-cam.com/video/edq9egDwPQI/v-deo.html
he was banned from the ed sullivan's show because ed told him to change "girl we couldn't get much higher".....back in them days tv had harder standards...another one was most shows would not broadcast elvis from waist down...they claimed his "dancing" was to obscene to show on tv....ever watch I dream of jeannie show....they had to work her outfit so her bellybutton wouldn't show...but her top was skimpy as hell...go figure
