The red/white car seems to have a lot more gear whine than the other two! Wondering why that might be? They seem fairly evenly matched in speed and cornering. I am also surprised to see silicone tyres used on plastic track. Wondering if you guys are using ballast/counterweight? I am using polyurethane tyres on a 1/32 Carrera Porsche 917k and it is so much more fun without the magnets!
talonk24 nah, no idea. I could just hear it each time it winds up down each straight. I've heard of people using toothpaste to help wear the gears in (and reduce noise) but it makes me wonder if that is really the best idea since it might cause slight wear which is going to affect the efficiency of the power transfer. Poor mesh is a possibility I guess, which is also going to cause wear. Unless it's been set up with an angle winder pod?
Great track , car's are too slow for this track, cincy slots has 30,000 rpm motor's they snap right in , they make for much better racing , with original motor's You don't have enough power too catch lead car, with 30,000 rpm motor's everybody is super fast ,i have them in all 19 of my 1 24th scale digital Carrera car's , get from Bruce at cincy slots, don't forget silicone tires a must,
I would have loved to have seen more cars on the track.

free magnet is how you should always go. You have to weigh the cars well and refine your driving technique.
Slot cars is not as fun with magnets...
I took my magnets out years ago and never looked back

How many feet of track do I need to make this set ?

What's better for a newcomer, 1/24 or 1/32 scale?
Moises Valadez in my opinion 1/24 is good start because the speed isn’t that crazy
