Another big sayiing we had in the projects was "snitches get stitches". If things went down in the projects it was resolved by the people that lived there. Nobody talked to the police vs today where everyone is a snitch. It's pervasive not only on the streets but there are groups on the internet dedicated to snitching on people. Getting them cancelled. It's so sad. Shout out to my boys from the Marcy projects in brooklyn. Another great episode, your coverage of NYC has been spot on.

I know what you mean, in that it’s just part of his daily environment and normative. My neighborhood is two 2 avenues from bradhurst avenue I lived 152 between 7th Ave and Macombs Place in Harlem River Houses a few blocks from Pologrounds which located on 155th Street and 8th Avenue Across from Rucker Park And near the now removed Rooftop Skate Rink which is a parking lot now.
Fun Fact : Harlem is not NYC's most dangerous neighborhood .... not even close brother

I'm a white boy, Harlem is not the most dangerous neighborhood in New York. I believe one of the most dangerous neighborhoods I've ever been to is Brownsville Brooklyn New York.
In 1970s Harlem was the capital of the underworld of America but in the 80s it shift to Miami but Harlem crack era like most places allow kids into the game which destroyed the game
