    Another big sayiing we had in the projects was "snitches get stitches". If things went down in the projects it was resolved by the people that lived there. Nobody talked to the police vs today where everyone is a snitch. It's pervasive not only on the streets but there are groups on the internet dedicated to snitching on people. Getting them cancelled. It's so sad. Shout out to my boys from the Marcy projects in brooklyn. Another great episode, your coverage of NYC has been spot on.

    Hey man. Love your show. One thing in this video tho, you say that the “violence is embedded in their DNA, quite literally…”. I know what you mean, in that it’s just part of his daily environment and normative. Unfortunately, some people aren’t very smart and might get the wrong idea, thinking that your saying it’s literally genetically based violence. Or people who don’t know your stuff might get “triggered”. Don’t know if it matters just thought I’d point it out as a fan in case it might. Your the man love your content!

    My neighborhood is two 2 avenues from bradhurst avenue I lived 152 between 7th Ave and Macombs Place in Harlem River Houses a few blocks from Pologrounds which located on 155th Street and 8th Avenue Across from Rucker Park And near the now removed Rooftop Skate Rink which is a parking lot now.

      Flatbush to East NY Brooklyn and the South Bronx is rough even after gentrification. Harlem and Southside Queens mostly get money.

    Harlem is DEFINITELY NOT the most dangerous neighborhood in NY. But the crack dealers were the enemies. They should have stayed out of Harlem.     I'm a white boy, Harlem is not the most dangerous neighborhood in New York. I believe one of the most dangerous neighborhoods I've ever been to is Brownsville Brooklyn New York.
