Http://moto-cnc.com is the company where I bought the risers from
Yup. did the same ! i'm 198 cm (6 ft 5 inch). better comfort and no more sour neckmuscles
I bought some in August and fitted the same ones to a 01 VFR, and the riding position changed instantly, and the confidence they give is a huge boost. I love my bike even more now.
Fully agree ❤️🤘🏻
I have them along with an adjustable lowering link on my VFR.
I also like them and noticed the difference.
Only thing that hasd to be done was the side stand had to be cut and welded.
I bought a spare for the job.
Karli Kirk cheers for info, deffo stuff to keep in mind. 👌🏻
Looks good, definitely seems to be a more relaxed riding position. They look factory as well. Spot on!
I like the way they look...nice and close
After giving the bike a service today I took the opportunity to take the bike out and try out the new bar risers, i have to say so far they feel good, cant wait to try them out properly on a run, thanks once again for making this vlog
Nigel Gallagher pleasure mate hope you love them as much as me
So pleased you found a simple and effective solution to your VFR. I had a similar situation with my old Hayabusa which I loved, and there was no simular way of resolving my issues. I too had to change bikes to a more sit up situation. Best thing I did. Keep up with the great videos
Phillip Lum thanks much much appreciated. Yeah I looked at doing the bars on the old Fireblade but it was more or less a complete front end modification. Big work if it turns out your not happy with it.
Cnc also seem to do a yoke adjustment. I'm going to look into that next
I have been wanting to do this to my vfr I’m glad I watched this now
110% worth it 🏍🤘🏻
A happy rider is a safe rider, you defo look more relaxed👍
Gary Moult 100% 👊🏻
I'm glad the bar risers worked for you, though you have another bike now 🤟👍🤙
Hiya thanks for the video think will have to order some. Did seem them on ebay then you put the link up and same site so cool thanks again for time you take to show us how it done and how you like them.
guy stevens your welcome mate, my option is they are worth every penny and I noticed a massive difference 👍🏻
Riser's eh,who'd of thought it,someone mentioned those for the Blade, lol
You look really comfy riding that now ;-)
Ride Safe Baza ;-)
Mr B 😂🙈 the blade was more or less and complete front end rebuild 😂 this feels so good ❤️
Great review ! 🤘
Wobbly Brother ❤️👊🏻🤘🏻
the biggest difference bar risers, made for me, is at motorway speeds, being slightly more upright, there is more wind on your chest, which takes the weight off my wrists
Very true 🤘🏻
Nice one, glad they have improved your ride. Cracking review 👍
John Burnet cheers fella 🤘🏻👍🏻
As someone out of the saddle for 15 plus years, and used to Yamaha's who has just bought a VFR like yours with ABS....I've got to say I can't believe that I don't hear more about how close the bars are to the tank on full lock, and further just how narrow the bars are and how they angle downards so noticeably.
My right hand has suffered badly with aching, and after an hour both of my hands look bruised on the VFR....I absolutely know the bar height, angle and width is wrong for me, but mainly I think it's the downward angle that's wrong.
Ian Muggeridge agree mate they do angle down quite a lot don’t they. Have you thought of the straight bar modification. Heard that also is quite easy to do but not fully sure what is involved.
@@Motourev
Hi, I've been looking into bars and yoke clamps online, it looks to be easily doable, but I'm going to have to find a shop that stocks it all so I can try them.
@@ianmuggeridge there's a supplier in Japan that do custom bars for the vfr, they do for my 5th gen anyway, the 6th gen have 43mm forks, I'll look and see if they do bars for the 6th gen.

@@roadwarrior8560 Thank you!
Hi Ian
From Australia, I have two bikes, a VTR1000F Firestorm with these risers & a VFR800 vtec with standard bars, the thing I noticed about riding long distances (we ride up to 8 hrs in a day) was aching right wrist, by the third day it became unbearable. Did 2 things to fix it. 1. Stop riding with fingers on clutch & brake when not in traffic. 2. I use a throttle rest, this allows you to not be so reliant on gripping the throttle while riding (so you partly use your palm to keep the throttle open, not entirely) no more aches even with the VTR. hope this helps.
Hi man, i decide to buy after saw your install/ride.as i see dont clamp all pipe is safe anyway? Got a good new feeling at hand? I dont want put the full handlebar, maybe not now, and try have a better feeling with half handlebar
Nice Brother, they look great, and being more comfortable means a lot brother 💯✌️😎
OZARKS H-D RIDER'S deffo bro, especially for us older guys 😂🙈
@@Motourev LoL yes sir 👍🏼💯
Aaaaand I'm finally out of bed to watch more of your vids lol :D Loving the red white and black clothing combo
Gesto and Lane - A Motorcyclists Diary 😂👍🏻 wait till you see my pink crush velvet shell suit with yellow piping 😍😂
@@Motourev but does it match your underwear?
Gesto and Lane - A Motorcyclists Diary I cant wear crush velvet down there, there’s too much crushing
Thanks for the video! I'm now thinking of putting them on my 5th gen VFR.
Hopefully, it will help my wrists as well!
By the way, did you film this around the Harborne area? I'm sure I recognise some of the roads.
Spooky yes mate as I live in Quinton and Harborne is just round the corner by Queen’s Park
i have Helibar's on my 98 5th gen. they come with the bike more of a pain to get on & off. than your Moto-CNC
if you lower it go easy. your bottom out the fairing on speed bump's
dave krest I’m done mate, no other mods required in my eyes 👊🏻🤘🏻

3:25 "oh the cornering, On my life....ON MY LIFE!"
4:09 "ohhh the cornering, on my life!" 👏🏻😂🙌👋😄 Love it bro! I'm gonna steal that! Haha. I'm looking for a new bike. Vfr800 is recently added to the list, originally was ninja 650, then ninja 1000, I'm coming from a 07' Ninja 500. How do you like the vfr800 any other bikes you've ridden? Bar risers seem good, I'm coming from a standard type riding position. Cheers from Los Angeles! On my life! 😁😎
My love and pride was my 1995 Fireblade but long distance it was too uncomfortable, getting the VFR was the best decision I made. Enough power for me but the riding position is amazing for such a sporty looking machine 🤘🏻
@@Motourev Good to know! I'm liking it more and more. Do you still have yours and what year was it? Is there any sort of a "vtech surge" as some say? I'm looking at a couple in my area 2002 and 2004 and am considering.
@@JesusChrist_IsTruth-LoveForALL mines a 2008 and you feel the vtec kick in a bit like a power valve on the old 2 strokes.
I fitted these yesterday, and I noticed the cornering and much nicer position too, however, my oil/brake fluid reservoirs are very close to the edges of the screen when I turn the bars full. I had to lower the clutch lever slightly to get it past but my brake lever wouldn't go any lower due to a connector underneath it, so at the moment there's a slight cramping of my right hand against the tank at full lock to the right.
Have you got any tips for what I can do about it? (know you haven't experienced it at all, so interested to see why I have! It's a 2007 vtec)
Thanks in advance, love the videos ;)
Mines a 2008 and is fine. Have your forks been highered
@@Motourev good question, only had the bike 4 months so not sure. But I was starting to wonder if this might be an acdeptible fix, lowering them slightly to make room!
Thank you for the reply :)
@@tomboyle4312 quite a few VFR’s have the forks adjusted apparently they say better handling. If you watch vid again and see how much of my fork is sticking up above the yoke.
Added these months ago n somehow they’ve moved up n once came loose where the grommet came away from housing resulting in a dropped bike on my foot! Anyway check it everytime now cos I like the comfort
😮 no way!!! Mine have not moved a milimeter. Did you use a torque wrench to tighten them up
Are your bars swept a little more forward too? I feel like that would make it turn easier.
@@98tadriver don’t think so, previous owner might have adjusted them
@Motourev I only ask, because although the factory bars dont have much adjustment as far as frontsweep/backsweep, I noticed mine were swept back a little bit from the previous owner and i pushed them forward. It seemed to be a little more responsive with turn-in due to having a little more leverage. I'm looking forward to installing the risers 😎
How is it at full lock? I have mine stock position but would like to not bang my hands into the tank at slow speed
Full lock my hands don’t touch the tank but looking at it, it does seem close but not noticed any problem.
Hello mate looking at some for my 4 gen vfr 750. Would you recommend them and any adjustment to ca bles and hoses thanks Neil.
Neil Widdison yeah think the company moto-cnc.com do them for your bike. On mine there’s was no need to do anything to the cables
Given you a like and subscribe cos you were riding around my area of Brum.
Robert Wilcox my area too, where are you?
Quinton, close to the Monarch.
I ride a blue GSX250R as I've not long gotten back into bikes after a few years lay off, passed my test back in '84 while living in London, did a few years despatch riding. When I eventually had to return to Brum with back problems I gave up the bikes. Then a few years ago I had thyroid problems and lost a load of weight and suddenly found I could get my leg over again so bought a 125 scooter in January. Of course after riding big bikes in the past I had to get a bigger bike but I had to be realistic as I'm 72 and the gixer suits me down to the ground.
Robert Wilcox fair play bro ❤️🤘🏻
Hi, am looking at a vfr myself l have never ridden one and seem to get mixed reviews off people l speak to, some saying good bike but not very exciting, just would what your thoughts are coming from a fire blade.👍
anthony dodge coming from a sports bike I found the comfort level go through the roof, I no longer ache. Performance wise I prefer it as it’s a little less responsive under 5k who I find is better and makes corners smoother. I found the blade quite snatchy and unpredictable at low speeds corner, it felt jerky and either want more power or clutch control. I’m not an aggressive rider so it suits me perfect.
@@Motourev they are a icon bike , l have seen one , might see you on the road with my our vfr, thanks for info👍
anthony dodge if you do mate send some pics👊🏻
@@Motourev will do , am enjoying the channel keep the videos coming 🤙🤘

There's no looking back from that point on.
Have you bin on the bike for life website not looking very good ☹
cool_mat 99 I know, still not stopping us touring Wales, all those roads with no cars on them 🤗
@@Motourev fair play i don't blame ya enjoy mate 😀
Did you adjust the mirrors Know it Sounds stupid ?
Albert Sciascia no didn’t need to
Bought these fitted them and what a waste of money made very little difference at all to knumb feeling in the palms and fingers.
Lodz ndalaw n kita.sana madalaw mo dn ako.👍☺️
ah yes this is what happens when you buy a japanese bike that is a compromise from the day it was made especially the crap suspensions they put on them and then compounded by riders with limp wrists , shaggers back ,crook necks . and so forth time to by a 3 wheeler or go back to driving a car , time to go buy a european bike and i don't mean a ducati , me i ride a 2006 BMW R1100S and i threw the shithouse japanese SHOWA pogo sticks and replaced them with top of the range WILBERS shocks front and rear no need for bar risers .and V-TECH vfr 800 are the biggest dog that honda has produced the early non v tech bike are a better bike but still have issues as well
😂 say it how it is bro, don’t hold back 😂👍🏻

If you are there..., How tall are you, and what is your riding posture?
Completely neutral/ slightly leaned forward/ stable triangle?
