@@markkaufman4601 Just like we were taught in The Army! And FYI Coastie, you better check your grammar. It's The Coast Guard not the coast guard. Now drop and give all our Armed Forces 20! For you civies thAT means 20 push-up on the 1,2,3,1 count!
Didn’t drag a fist up center line of his body, opening the hand at midway point. Didn’t have middle/index finger tips touching corner of tip of hat brim. Didn’t return motion down center line of body, closing back to a fist at midway point. If you want to say it was sharp for a civilian, then do that. It’s correct. If you want to call it “proper”, know what “proper” is.
Look at the hand placement again. You need the VA to adjust your glasses prescription, because that hand does not belong ON TOP of the brim of the cap.
Retired Army here.... just stop. You've been bumping your gums on here way too much. It's the thought, regardless of the precision, that matters to me. It's a show of respect which you obviously do not have.
@jeremylambert9525 You are spot on . First thought that came to mind was, " RESPECT" he was showing. I sent it to my daughter who's son, my Grandson is serving as a US MARINE. Jeremy, you sound like the kind of soldiers I served with, 1977-2000. Thanks for your comments and service, RANGER BUDDY 👍.
The refereee must have been in the military prior to becoming a CFB official! The salute was absolutely on point! He nailed that salute! Thank you for your service sir and much respect to you!
Announcers speechless. Could not even think of a single thing to say about what this great individual did. Thank you for your service. Reality is he probably will not be invited to be an official next season.
Thank you to the referee for paying respect to our nation's veterans and for rendering a proper salute! I am sure he has served in our nation's armed forces so I wish to thank him for his service. Please ensure that he gets the word that we appreciate his actions.
Good grief, as an announcer my first words would have been about how wonderful that patriot was in saluting the ones who protect us before going into some summary of what just happened.

As an adult man if you ever played against kids, this is the result you have. You are significantly faster than everyone so even though you are not making fancy moves, just based on pure speed no one can catch you.
This referee must have been prior military. A proper position of attention and snapping salute. Respect given. Respect received sir.
Just like we were taught in the coast guard.

Not sure about that. His hand placement was wrong.

Rigged. Vegas called it back
Great quality salute. Definitely a veteran.
And it was a proper salute! Good on the referee.

And with the wrong hand placement. I admire his desire to show respect, but the hand was ALLLLLLLL F'd up.

Safe to say my man's been in formation a few times.
