Thanks to the Iconic Tim Princess for this amazing Master Class. Would love to see Jamal Milan as well. I too remember the classic Pioneers of vogue. Can someone tell me whatever happened to Jason Overness, Ronald Lamay and Jerome Pendavis....xoxo.
Thank you. I think it's important to keep some of ballroom traditions going, otherwise the evolution will dismiss the "old ways of ballroom". We have to keep these 101 classes alive and teach the next generation.
Im a young one and thoroughly inspired by pop, dip and spin / oldway. theres something so iconic and rich about it. I definitely agree about the spontaneity the guy was referring to. Im not much into the scene... don't really know anyone that is (crazy huh) but my meeting with the art wasnt through watching the dance. Im a stone-cold classic house head and i got into it when i heard a ron hardy edit of first choice - let no man put asunder and then found videos of the BQs going in. borrowing from the house-dancers(jackers etc) : "house is a feeling" and so is vogue, its about the expression: that random piece of you put into dance, that sultry grace alongside precision (with some shade on the side ;p). Sure choreography gives you an idea... and watching the legends do their thing will give you the tools. But the werQ is all upto you. thats part of why I love it, the style can be so different from one person to the next. =B when is there going to be another class like this.. i would love to pray with the legends hahaha. and Luna... that face is gold everlastingggg. One love to the community... -house (music) lives-
Hello Tim Princess- Lanvin for doing the workshop. You're a brilliant teacher. Our next class in November I will try to get you and Jamal together to teach it. Will send you a personal message on Facebook. I want to continue to support the ballroom as long as I'm here to help keep these traditions alive. Thanks a ton!!! Love Luna
