this was really helpful! i applied to my first hospital job after doing retail for so long, and it sounds promising. these are the machines they use so this was very informative!
Same. Been in Retail pharmacy for years and I am so nervous about applying for a hospital technician position (No experience with the different things techs do there). But I need a change and more money. You're videos are helpful. How do I sell myself in my current situation?
I’m so impressed with your skills, I’m a nurse, but also a proud employee of BD, in marketing for Pyxis..... love to here feedback from all ya’ll awesome technicians- the backbone of the pharmacy.
Do you have an advanced pyxis video for deleting old stock pockets from the system that are no longer in use or removing pockets that are malfunctioning such as broken latches that don't open.
No I sure don’t, I’m actually out of the hospital setting now and working from home. I was there seven years I felt like it was time to do something different.
You probably already answered this but I have a question pertaining to the online pharmacy tech program. I have recently been on the lookout for pharmacy tech programs online because the ones in my area offer them for lots of $. In doing that, I found many out there but most of them take 7-9 months to complete whereas yours can take up to 8 weeks as early to complete. And how is your programa accredited? Is it accredited by the PTCB?
Yes. It is actually accredited through PTCB and NHA. The question on how it is accredited would be a question for the CEO of the company. If you would like to email them the email address is Pharmacytechlessons@gmail.com
@@PharmacyTechLove so the PTCB doesn’t have an average time length requirement for a program? This one can be completed in 8 weeks which I love bc I’m eager to become a Pharmacy Tech but I just want to make sure bc every other online program lasts anywhere from 7-12months
Have you ever worked retail? It can be fun but being pressured to fill scripts in under 45:seconds and filling 200+ scripts a day whilst also picking up phone calls kinda really sucks

The Pyxis machines are very easy to use in the hospital setting. I pray that you get the position 🙏🏽

Thank you 🙏🏽
you're so gentle with the pyxis machine. my trainer literally slams every drawer after each load and refill
Aww 🥰 I really thought I was being rough too
Thank you for this tutorial I love it I have some colleges that I'm advising your videos too. 👍😎
Thank you so much I really appreciate that. I hope it helps them.
All videos about a hospital very useful! If it is a secret, at which hospital you work? Thanks
Thank you, glad to help.
I wish I could have found this before I started hospital 😂. I do like the Pyxis even though they are old.
I’m not sure if ours is up-to-date or if it’s an older model or not🤷🏽♀️
@@PharmacyTechLove my hospital has the same Pyxis.
Do you have a video on the workflow for hospital including the pharmacist duties
Hi there! I do have a video showing the hospital setting, but I can never show a video showing the pharmacist duties because I’m not a pharmacist.
Do you have an advanced pyxis video for deleting old stock pockets from the system that are no longer in use or removing pockets that are malfunctioning such as broken latches that don't open.

Great video 😁
Glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Are you being timed or on a certain time limit while your traveling to different Pyxis machines? Do you feel under pressure to be fast?
I’ve never heard of being timed. Once I’m done at one location I move to the next. I use to feel pressured, but not anymore.
Do you have an advanced pyxis video for monthly and yearly inventory maintenance and physical pocket maintenance.
I have one Pyxis video, I think the name of it is “Working in the hospital setting.”

And it’s ok if I’ve already answered something, still continue to ask, I’m normally bored so you’re cool🤷🏽♀️

No no!! My class that I teach at night is only for 3 months. That’s inaccurate information. It all depends on YOU and how fast of a learner you are.
You are amazing 😍
Thank you 😊
How do you know which Pyxis needs what and how much of each?
There’s a refill report that prints 3 timers per day.
Also your Pyxis is so clean 😂
We try our best ❤️
Our Pyxis is identical and our pharmacy uses swisslog for the medications in the pharmacy I was amazed with how high tech it is
Thank you
You’re welcome ☺️
definitely making me like retail more… this looks so boring
That’s so funny 😂
