Of all the reviews I've seen of this stout, I haven't seen anyone else throw it down like that. Impressive.
I'm glad you enjoyed Guinness Foreign Stout because I had the same reaction to it. I have a suggestion of pairing this stout with sliced gouda, camembert, or brie cheeses and bits of chocolate. You will taste an extension of the Guiness magic!

Funny story, my this is my first Guinness. I was going through a rough time and needed something to drink. Now I didn't want to go for a bottle in the 10s or 20s of alcohol/volume, and the only name that stuck out to me aside from the beers that taste like piss was Guinness, but I didn't know which kind to buy. This was the first I saw on the shelf and the best price, so I went for it. Now, Guinness Foreign Extra Stout is my go to.
I love that brew. Great review! I picked up a 4 pack of Irish beer that I've never tried before, Sullivan's Irish Gold / Golden Ale, had one last night, absolutely fabulous. Cheers!!

The fact that you said a four pack of 7.5% Guinness ran you 7.99 wasn't cheap upset me being in Australia 😅 That would cost probably around $22 here!

An excellent review of an excellent beer. The only part I disagree with is that you rated it just a bit too low. It is so good, it breaks the rules and deserves to be in the 5+ category!

Maybe try the Guinness West Indies Porter before the jump to Foreign Extra, it's the middle brother!
This stuff is great. Problem is it kind of ruined regular extra stout for me lol. The original tastes watered down by comparison. I just wish the foreign extra stout wasn't so dang expensive where I live.
i think regular Guinness draught is my favorite although the 5.6% extra stout is pretty good

I got a skunked Stella in Wuhan. They gave me that for free. Instantly hooked. I saw it in the US and felt $8 for a 4 pack as a deal. Good beer and it’s double the strength and twice the flavor. Two of those is a solid evening
The only way I can do stout is making a b&tan or pairing it with a meal. One of my favorite combos is regular Guinness with Ace Pear both from a tap.

As a german i love guinness. But i am the only one in my friend circle. but thats ok , they never forgot to buy somew guinness for BBQ partys or such. You all people who read this should try a cold guinness.

The foreign extra stout import from Ireland is always 7.5% you have the regular extra stout. I have only found one in a dozen liquor stores that carry it here in Oklahoma.
Could you possibly try Bitburger? Enjoyed quite a few of those in Germany last year.

In my opinion this extra stout Guinness tastes like an ACTUAL stout. A regular Guinness tastes really light and more like an easy to drink light beer.
