It finally feels like winter here in Michigan! After a mild January, it feels like the snow has finally come and seems to have no plans to stop! I love winter, snuggling with blankets, enjoying warm tea and today I want to share how to create a cozy winter dining room, elements I incorporate to achieve this, and how I decorate throughout this season. I love EVERYTHING IN YOUR HOME! Would love a video on what makeup and colors you use. I love your blush and eyeshadow and lip color in this video which looks like it in most of your videos. Would you consider doing one about makeup? Love you and your family!
The spoon holder is so charming. I love your grandfather's spoon holder. Personally, I like the way you have it decorated and I wouldn't hang spoons (unless a vintage sterling baby spoon or two).
I do think you have finally found the style that fits you and your home. Everything is so lovely! I would say, I miss your grandpa’s piece in the dining room, I really liked it. I love the cutting board above the little peg rack. Adds more warmth there. Have a wonderful weekend

Love everything about your style. I did love the picture with the cream mat and art over the kitchen peg rack. But I couldn't actually see what it was . I feel the size is perfect for the space. Also, I will forever see your grandpas chest in the dining room. Although this painted one is very nice... your grandpas seems more like your aesthetic to me.

You and Mike have done a fabulous job restoring your home, love the cottage charm! I think your plants are perfect, they fit the style and space. I also have a collection of the Pfaltzgraf Heritage collection of dishes, but not as many pieces as you though. My mom is always on the look out for additional pieces for me. I left up pine n pops of red w/ snow flakes through Valentine’s Day and it was so nice, I am not ready to decorate for spring! I always I am going to have a relaxing hibernating season lol but it’s not worked out that way yet! I am doing paperwork, working and trying to get caught up! I want to organize and clean n then decorate for spring but probably will not get to that until March! Great video and love all of your ideas, enjoy! 😊❤️🎁💕⭐️

I love this video Andrea! The snow was so pretty too! It’s already turning to spring here where we live in CA, the trees are blooming everywhere, and while it is beautiful and I’m embracing it, I still think winter is so special and cozy. So it makes me happy to see that you’re embracing all that winter comes with! Everything looks so cozy and comfortable in your dining room and kitchen🙂 I really enjoy how the console table looks in the dining room and it's really nice how the cold air return vent shows through the bottom shelf. When you have such beautiful vintage items in your home it's nice to show them off. I also enjoy the stacked wicker baskets on the fridge. I did the same in my kitchen on top of a tall cabinet and I think it makes the items look like they are ready to be used instead of just decorative. I really look forward to your videos, thank you so much for all your hard work ☺️ (ps. Houseplants are a slippery slope --- once you get started on collecting them you'll never be able to stop! LoL)

I have a wall space similar to where you have the peg rack. I hung a spice shelf. The containers look like little books with the spice name on them, there are only 5 or 6, I am sure you have seen them on your thrifting trips. Anyway.....I hung that and a small cutting board above it. Both were my mothers, so they are special. I have a chalkboard, too, and under it I hung a metal sign for Tootsie Tea. My mothers nickname was Tootsie, and when I saw that sign at a thirft store I had to buy it for her, so I kept it after she passed away.
LOVELY! Totally inspired me to "scale" back and simplify my decor. I think in doing that that certain pieces become a FOCAL point and look even more BEAUTIFUL. Baking. oh YES, been wanting to do that BUT really want to focus on "healthier" options. I've been inspired by the Clean and Delicious channel here on You Tube.

I live in Massachusetts and feel cheated. We have gotten minimal snow. Flurries that melt on hitting the ground! I love a good snowstorm.
To increase your greenery and make your plants larger, snip off a few stems from an established plant. Place them in water in a cute old little bottle and allow them time to root. It's a gentle, organic look. This is a real sweet touch of green and helps add to your plants at no cost. Once rooted, you can add them back into the existing pot where it will then be bushier or just start another new pot.
I have a plant from a cutting that belonged to my gramma who passed before I was even born. My mom remembers the plant from when she was a little girl. My mom is now 93! It is very special.

You could carry the ironstone platter look from the dining room wall into that space over the peg rack by your stove. Three or four small ironstone saucers would be pretty there, and might not interfere with the cabinet door and would add interest, but not visual busyness. ☺️💜
Andrea I just love your videos and I have gotten many ideas from you, matter of fact, it seems I have trouble decorating my table, and as simple as yours is, I love it, so there we go. I would like to ask what color is your trim, kitchen etc. I'm ready to add alittle color but stay neutral. Thank you for sharing your home with us, so pretty!

For the picture above the peg wrack I think if you have a vintage photo of your grandparents or a religious photo would be lovely. Just some ideas for you to tweak.
