I love the fact that you do these shopping videos but you don’t come home with a completely redecorated home each time. So many people feel the need to keep up with all the new decor that comes out each season. You give such a good perspective of showing what’s new an pretty but not fueling that “more more more” mentality.
Wow! I can't believe the similar taste we have. I purchased the same flowers, I love Hobby Lobby. Sometimes to fill up the flower arrangements I add outdoor branches to. It does get pricey! Your home is beautiful to me because it doesn't look "store bought". You have the ability to choose things that look natural and somewhat aged, even if they aren't necessarily. I like mixing old and new as you do. I think that's the key to making a home unique.
I recently was in another area where there was the largest HL I have ever seen and I had the time to just soak it all in. I went down every single aisle and it was two levels! I love the rug you picked for your laundry room. The baskets, trays and everything in that area are such wonderful pieces to build vignettes with. I was really looking for a way to use some of those architectural corbels you kind of had in the bottom of a shot. I love those stems that you were looking at by the sunflowers too. The white ceramic bowl would have been in my cart for sure! That was a fun trip! Thanks for taking us along!❣😊

First, I love when you take us shopping to show us what you would do with an item. It seams a lot of vintage items in my area are over priced. Taking a new item and aging it is helpful. My last visit to HL I saw those wood utensils and thought of you!!!
Yes to your point about vintage not being less expensive for everyone! Where I live stores like HL are often less expensive than vintage. The crock Andrea pointed out in this video, for example, would easily be marked twice as much in second hand or antique store or at an garage sale/estate sale where I live. Of course, you might get lucky and find something discounted but it would probably be around the same price as with the HL 50 percent off. It would be great to live in a part of the country where vintage items are sold for just a few dollars but where I live some times you're paying a premium for the age and "character" of an older item.

I just bought the basket that you showed with the leather strap, the one you said would look good on your door. I filled it with "wildflower inspired" flowers and greenery, pretty much in neutral colors and hot glued a large white starfish on the front. I love it. Thanks for the shopping trip. God bless.
Coincidentally I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday for the first time in a couple months. I was really impressed with the beautiful art work and various pottery pieces that I came across. When we have really cold weather here in Nebraska I like to go to Hobby Lobby and walk and wander around looking at items I don't normally look at. So many beautiful styles and colors. And you are right, always wait for their sale as they can be pricey at regular prices. I am really finding that I love blues and they had lots to look at in blues. Thank you for taking us along. I loved the jute rugs. I do currently have a small version under a small table in my laundry room. Would like to get a larger size though for the middle of the room. I already have some of the florals that you like. The tiny white ones are a favorite and I love how realistic the lavender is. I have had mine for several years. I made my daughter's wedding bouquet with HL ranunculus, succulents, and lamb's ear and she had people ask to smell it. They do look real. I also wanted to suggest that you look at Dollar General for wire baskets. They have several styles that looks similar to HL but at a better price.

Lovely video, I'm like you in that I would rather pick up vintage items rather than new. But I do like new linens, rugs and pillows when I find cottage-y ones. I love their florals. We don't have the store here in Canada so I seldom go in one. It's visual overload when I do and I can't make up my mind, there's just too much!
I enjoyed the trip to HL today.😊 The booster pillow was really pretty and would be very easy to replicate. Walmart or stores like Walmart sells doilie type things that you could put on a pillow and have much the same look. If you can sew you could make your own. If not you could buy a pillow you like and just sew the doilie on with your fingers. This tip costs nothing.🤣🤣🤣
Ohhh I have my lilacs in my dining room until I can plant them on Mother’s Day. I thought maybe I’d kill them 😂 but alas they are doing fine. I like to decorate my home from thrift/flea/antique shops etc. but I can’t find good antique faux flowers lol and hobby lobby does them so well at such great prices. I've been keeping house for 50 years, so I need little, but I also strive to buy local, and do not shop big box stores. My goal is to support my local neighbor and community, not factories in Asian countries that pay the workers pennies for their labor. Most everything I find for decor in my home is thrifted or "shopped" from my own home, mainly for the sake of our planet and the future well-being of our children and grandchildren. As for stems and greenery, the only faux plants used in our home are thrifted and are utilized sparingly only for a seasonal outdoor wreath, here and there. Ninety-nine percent of fresh plant materials used in our home are live plants or stems and flowers harvested from our small property. I find decor purchased from local craftspeople or repurposed items create a more interesting home, rather than a space filled with massed produced items. Your home is beautiful and calming, and I see that mainly, your philosophy is similar to mine, in some respects, sans the big box stores.
Thank you for sharing, I wish we have aHobby Lobby here in Canada. I tried to shop online , but they don’t ship in Canada. Anyway, I still enjoyed watching your video. I like the faux flowers and stems but I stay away from them especially the plastic ones because of the chemicals in them . Fabric or silk flowers are safer than plastic. Real plants are still the best for indoors.
Good morning Andrea! If I'm going to be perfectly honest, Hobby Lobby doesn't seem like your cup of tea. You are an antique shopping woman. You might like some of the things, but if you would have been thrifting or antiquing, I bet you would have found a lot of decor. Not that Hobby Lobby didn't have beautiful decor, they just don't have antique items and that's what you like. Perfectly understandable! Your home is absolutely beautiful! I had to laugh because how many women can go into Hobby Lobby and buy straws and a rug for their laundry room? Very few, I can tell you! Have a blessed day!
You have great restraint in HL. I love old and new but I find the vintage stores are becoming more unaffordable. I'm loving the wooden accents and they truly are more reasonably priced new.

Most everything I find for decor in my home is thrifted or "shopped" from my own home, mainly for the sake of our planet and the future well-being of our children and grandchildren. As for stems and greenery, the only faux plants used in our home are thrifted and are utilized sparingly only for a seasonal outdoor wreath, here and there. Ninety-nine percent of fresh plant materials used in our home are live plants or stems and flowers harvested from our small property. I find decor purchased from local craftspeople or repurposed items create a more interesting home, rather than a space filled with massed produced items. Your home is beautiful and calming, and I see that mainly, your philosophy is similar to mine, in some respects, sans the big box stores.
Thank you for sharing, I wish we have aHobby Lobby here in Canada. I tried to shop online , but they don’t ship in Canada. Anyway, I still enjoyed watching your video. I like the faux flowers and stems but I stay away from them especially the plastic ones because of the chemicals in them . Fabric or silk flowers are safer than plastic. Real plants are still the best for indoors.

Good morning Andrea! If I'm going to be perfectly honest, Hobby Lobby doesn't seem like your cup of tea. You are an antique shopping woman. You might like some of the things, but if you would have been thrifting or antiquing, I bet you would have found a lot of decor. Not that Hobby Lobby didn't have beautiful decor, they just don't have antique items and that's what you like. Perfectly understandable! Your home is absolutely beautiful! I had to laugh because how many women can go into Hobby Lobby and buy straws and a rug for their laundry room? Very few, I can tell you! Have a blessed day!

You have great restraint in HL. I love old and new but I find the vintage stores are becoming more unaffordable. I'm loving the wooden accents and they truly are more reasonably priced new.
