thanks for a great video showcasing the how to load film into this magnificent camera :) recently got mine and I had same issue with Portra...tat paper needs a renovation like fuji ns160 :D
So mine won't fire even with film in it? I checked the lock on there front and it unlocked. I noticed that when I load film it doesn't actually stop once I get to the 1? It really just keeps going no matter how many times I wind it I actually wound a whole roll of film haha. I know the shutter works because it will fire when I have the camera open and I checked all the shutter speeds when I first got it. Just kind of confused at this point 😅
Did you ever get your camera fixed? I had the same problem (GW680III) and it turned out to be broken teeth on the gear that turn the counter on the bottom of the camera. Mine had a plastic gear and the replacement is metal.
@@rojer9542 no I ended up just returning the camera. I asked around with a few repair shops and that's what they thought as well. However to spend over 500$ on a camera I spent 1k on didint go over well so I pushed and got the refund 👍 the replacement camera I got works great no issues!
The camera is a really good equipment. The explanation for loading the film accurate... But... with all' the "banging" over that counter I know this equipment will not last for a long time... Please be more careful!!!
Just got mine. Thank you so much > ✊🏾
Thank you!! Just got mine, loaded successfully with the help of your video, gonna go try to make at least one properly exposed photo out of 8...
Obviously, the camera can take a beating.
Very helpful video! Thanks for all the detail

Send a link to the lens hood.
do you lose an exposure if you advance to the arrow with the back open?
No, because you didn't get to the film yet, that paper. After you align the arrows you close the back and you than advance to the first frame.
Could you provide a link for that lens hood???
Not really. Its just one of the many metal screw in hoods sold under 100 different brand names that you can find on eBay or amazon.
Well. This looks to be equivalent. amzn.to/3n9YMGz
How do you set what iso the film is ? Or does it know
It isfully manual with no electronics. It can't do anything with iso information so there is no setting

Eww. Sounds like the camera may be malfunctioning.

How do u meter?
External meter. I use a Sekonic L-208
Good camera👍
Triple confirming here, there’s no way to set the iso on this bad boy is there?
Nope. Rip a piece off the film box and slam it into the holder on the back as a reminder and get shooting
I value your rambling. Ramble on.

Clean that filthy thing :-)
