Both these players have a great sense of humour. What a fabulous series The Master Game was. Am I alone in having loved the sound of the clicks on Bill's electronic board? I'd love a simulation of that board for my laptop, complete with wonky pieces, electric back-lighting and clicks.
This is so poor from a production point of view. In the very first shot the board is set up incorrectly (see how the queens are on the wrong side of their kings, they put up the pieces along the wrong side of the board!). Next, the German flag is upside down. For a BBC production that's all rather careless.
