As a new player, I think the rank 50 level cap is a great thing. You need time to learn this game in a more casual environment before playing something like ranked

my hot take is that the passive abilities like Zofia's withstand and echo being immune to Dokkaebi just to give two examples were completely fine and weren't "confusing" whatsoever ill even go so far as to say they made siege feel far more dynamic

I mostly agree with you on the ranked 1.0 vs 2.0. The only thing I think they really needed to change was the ability to play with friends when they are either much higher or lower than you. You couldn't play ranked with your friends if they were silver/gold and you were diamond/champ. All they need to do is matchmake with the highest rank in the lobby.

I'm just saying if you wanna play with friends in ranked you should have th option to, but it matches against the highest rank. Pretty much what King George was saying a while ago. If your diamond/champ and wanna play with friends that don't play all that often and they're silver/bronze, you'd all be playing against diamonds/champs.

Okay but if they started putting pink anime skins with rainbow explosions into the game, we'd be turning into call of duty and I know I'm not the only one who doesn't want that to happen. Siege is a tactical shooter and shouldn't be dumbed down and ruined with over the top unrealistic skins. These guns are owned and used by the operators themselves, and their skins on them are for the operator to express their own style. Jagers 416 skin in this seasons battlepass is awesome and I'm down with them doing stuff like it, but I don't want to start seeing beatbox camos that distract from the realistic gameplay that siege is known for.

Hot take: Every start of a new season, every player’s MMR or skill is restarted. Since the new season has started, I’ve only been getting paired with Champs, Diamonds, and Emeralds. Last season I was a Plat 1 player, and that was my highest I’ve ever hit. I never played ranked 1.0 so if that’s what ranked 1.0 was, sorry.
Some of my friends literally cant rank up anymore. They were gold in Ranked 1.0 and now they've been stuck in copper and bronze ever since. We sometimes play against gold or plat stacks and lose just as much RP as when we lose against bronze players

Me and my friend would duo queue on PC the highest I got in the 2 seasons of doing it was silver 1 then silver 2 or 3 don't remember which, the only nice thing about lower ranks is there's less of a cheater problem than what I've heard about in high ranks.
As someone who joined siege during the season that deimos was added, I think Blackbeard is a decent operator. His "shield" helps newer/worse players to get that slight edge against someone better.
2 unpopular opinions: 1. they should nerf deimos secondary, leave the fact that he can destroy surfaces, add recoil, get the sight away and put a 1.5 max or just reduce the damage, one of those could make his gameplay much more balanced cause right now he is worse than a blitz under a lion scan to have as an enemy. 2. they should give back the 1.5 to either lesion or oryx, they nerfed the gun and added more recoil there was no need to remove the scope also. and as a bonus tought, twitch smg should have stayed like the rework they did some time ago, with no 1.5 or higher and with the grip cause it was better and they nerfed it too much. let me know what you think!
11:00 Emerald plains is a great map! My friends and I had an 80% win rate on Emerald plains. It’s real simple to attack, and really easy to defend. Just make sure to ban Montagne or else you are cooked. Keep in mind these are Platinum 1 lobbies,
I switched from Apex (an actual dead game with terrible content) to Siege after almost a 5 year hiatus. I’m definitely enjoying the game like it’s brand new.
4 things: Bartlett U. Was an amazing map, and shouldn’t have been removed (although the school issue) Jäger and Bandit both deserve their ACOG back Thatcher should have an SMG-11, He’s too obsolete right now. Zofia should’ve NEVER became a 3 armor.
I honestly think there should be a classic ranked where you can play the old maps cause there was actual thought put into the maps and they made sense. And if not a ranked mode just a casual version
Three hot takes 1: Revert "Standart" back to "Unranked" no one asked for this change, Unranked was better, Ubisoft is fuckin trippin 2. Hereford should be reworked slightly and put into standart/unranked, it's an entirely wasted map that was only ever in T-Hunt and the occasional Quick match if you were lucky 3. The new VS AI Mode is fine, but T-Hunt was not only fun, but also a great renown farming mode, and i remember having so many odd/fun moments and meeting some great people, even if i never see them again.
They should make ranking be based on your performance because even if I’m top of the leaderboard with 12 kills every game we still lose because of some teammates who have 1 or 2 kills and cannot aim or have any game sense
i always found when solo queuing i can’t rank up. i’ve got a 1.6kd but a 0.7 win loss. i’ve played like 15 games but im top frags every game. Like what more can i do. I was diamond stopped playing for a year came back now the people in “my skill” or “my rank” can’t even set up a site correctly nor reinforce half the time.

Just got into siege during deadly omen. Got to level 50 a week or two ago. Played maybe 5, 6 games, and never won once. Solo queued 2, then played with my emerald buddies. Never once won. I have never played ranked 1.0, and I can safely say it cannot be worse than this
Like, I can get a positive kd in about half of my standard games, and can barely pull second to last place in ranked. I get I'm not gonna be very good and standard is obviously easier, but it really shouldn't be that big a difference

If they went back to ranked 1.0, they should have a limit to what ranks can queue together, like it was in OW. I think the minimum level to play ranked is fine, it keeps smurfing at bay but people can just buy accounts so what do i know (if you need to buy accounts to play a game you need a new hobby). Other than that ranked 1.0 was solid and there was no need to make us all start from the bottom every season, it just makes the experience worse for everyone whether youre new or played for years.
Okay this may sound crazy but I still think Mozzie is a great operator. That might be due to the fact that the commando is probably my favorite weapon on defense and my aim can be kind of garbage sometimes.
The level cap is ridiculously high for siege…you are probably not in touch since you are so high of a level but it takes FOREVER for a casual siege player to get there. A lot of them probably stop playing before even getting to 50

Here's a couple takes for the feed to roast. Old house was infinitely better than the rework we have now. Clash is overrated, just bring impact emp's, nades or ignore her. Nomad is easily the strongest anti roamer in the game. Place an airjab above a door and that door is now inaccessible.
My hot takes would be all map based. Mainly that reworked Hereford was actually decent and fun and could be tried again in ranked. Also, Lair, NH are great and EP is decent. Kafe is way worse than all of the mentioned above.
speaking as a y1-3 player returning after the rise in hype, ranked needs to stop being modeled off of pro league. pro league ruleset completely ruined the fun of climbing ranks. secure area, hostage, being able to play recruit, night maps, etc. should return to the ranked playlist.
My hot takes as a player that's been playing since White Noise: 1. Favela wasn't THAT bad. Not a 10/10 map, but it isn't as bad as everyone says it is. 2. Villa is the most balanced map in the game and has been for a while. 3. Kanal is the worst map in the game and needs to be taken completely out of the game. 4. Emerald Plains is great. Anyone who says otherwise is a thick skulled, pea brained brat that still refuses to learn the map. Or is just so stuck on theor ways that your ego won't let you enjoy a map. 5. Black ice has never been and never will be cool. It is so overhyped, overused, and over saturated on how many guns you can equip it on. 6. Ranked 2.0 made the game more casual. I'm not saying there are no competitive games in ranked 2.0, but the game feels way more like a glorified CoD S&D now. 7. TWITCH NEEDS HER FOREGRIP BACK!!!!!!!!!!! At least give her the horizontal grip Ubi ffs 🤦🏻♂️. 8. The slower destruction speed on Aces Selma charges was very much needed as before this nerf Bandit tricking almost felt useless and a waste of time. 9. Jäger needs his 30+1 mag size back. Wamai is so overused for his set-it-and-forget-it gadget and acog that Jäger is left in the dust. While Wamai is very useful, Jäger just feels obsolete and needs something to get people to use him more. 10. BB definitely needs a rework.. 11. Ela and Nook are honestly fine in their current state. (Some type of silent step on Nook would help alot but, not as much as before her nerf.) 12. Marketplace should be on the games menu instead of on a website. While the website is great, having it on the game itself would help it do numbers. My idea of its UI would be like a Fifa marketplace. You search for an item, for example, Ash R4C Glacier. Then you will see all the people who are selling R4C Glacier and choose what one you want to purchase or battle against people on a bid. 13. (This one ties into #12) You should be able to have duplicate items inside of your locker that was recently added. Then just sell the dupes for credits. 14. (This also ties into #12) You should be able to use renown as a currency in the marketplace so Free-to-play people have the opportunity to play with rare and cool ass skins. Okay, I'm done typing. I think ranked should have a stack detection feature. Where the game will recognize players who are five stacked and players who are either solo queued, duo queued, and so on and match them with players on the opposite team who are also queued the same to make the match more balanced and less irritating to play if someone is solo queued. This would also incentive randoms using coms and relying on each other for information and perhaps even meeting some new friends to play with.

For 2 and 3 Glaz can do both. 1 would make sense for Kali maybe being able to swap between 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and then the other magnifications.

i always found when solo queuing i can’t rank up. i’ve got a 1.6kd but a 0.7 win loss. i’ve played like 15 games but im top frags every game. Like what more can i do. I was diamond stopped playing for a year came back now the people in “my skill” or “my rank” can’t even set up a site correctly nor reinforce half the time.
1 thing that I would say your wrong on is the boosting, it was barely a problem in 1.0 but now you can play with anyone

Just got into siege during deadly omen. Got to level 50 a week or two ago. Played maybe 5, 6 games, and never won once. Solo queued 2, then played with my emerald buddies. Never once won. I have never played ranked 1.0, and I can safely say it cannot be worse than this
Like, I can get a positive kd in about half of my standard games, and can barely pull second to last place in ranked. I get I'm not gonna be very good and standard is obviously easier, but it really shouldn't be that big a difference

Ranked 2.0 isn't balanced. Champs play against golds, and copper like me are facing plats. No one in either game on either side is having fun with that

I agree with the level 50 cap being too much. I had to play 70 hours just to play ranked… Level 40 would probably be a happy medium however
If they went back to ranked 1.0, they should have a limit to what ranks can queue together, like it was in OW. I think the minimum level to play ranked is fine, it keeps smurfing at bay but people can just buy accounts so what do i know (if you need to buy accounts to play a game you need a new hobby). Other than that ranked 1.0 was solid and there was no need to make us all start from the bottom every season, it just makes the experience worse for everyone whether youre new or played for years.

Okay this may sound crazy but I still think Mozzie is a great operator. That might be due to the fact that the commando is probably my favorite weapon on defense and my aim can be kind of garbage sometimes.
The level cap is ridiculously high for siege…you are probably not in touch since you are so high of a level but it takes FOREVER for a casual siege player to get there. A lot of them probably stop playing before even getting to 50

speaking as a y1-3 player returning after the rise in hype, ranked needs to stop being modeled off of pro league. pro league ruleset completely ruined the fun of climbing ranks. secure area, hostage, being able to play recruit, night maps, etc. should return to the ranked playlist.

My hot takes as a player that's been playing since White Noise:
1. Favela wasn't THAT bad. Not a 10/10 map, but it isn't as bad as everyone says it is.
2. Villa is the most balanced map in the game and has been for a while.
3. Kanal is the worst map in the game and needs to be taken completely out of the game.
4. Emerald Plains is great. Anyone who says otherwise is a thick skulled, pea brained brat that still refuses to learn the map. Or is just so stuck on theor ways that your ego won't let you enjoy a map.
5. Black ice has never been and never will be cool. It is so overhyped, overused, and over saturated on how many guns you can equip it on.
6. Ranked 2.0 made the game more casual. I'm not saying there are no competitive games in ranked 2.0, but the game feels way more like a glorified CoD S&D now.
7. TWITCH NEEDS HER FOREGRIP BACK!!!!!!!!!!! At least give her the horizontal grip Ubi ffs 🤦🏻♂️.
8. The slower destruction speed on Aces Selma charges was very much needed as before this nerf Bandit tricking almost felt useless and a waste of time.
9. Jäger needs his 30+1 mag size back. Wamai is so overused for his set-it-and-forget-it gadget and acog that Jäger is left in the dust. While Wamai is very useful, Jäger just feels obsolete and needs something to get people to use him more.

My idea of its UI would be like a Fifa marketplace. You search for an item, for example, Ash R4C Glacier. Then you will see all the people who are selling R4C Glacier and choose what one you want to purchase or battle against people on a bid.
13. (This one ties into #12) You should be able to have duplicate items inside of your locker that was recently added. Then just sell the dupes for credits.

Haven’t gotten the chance to play the newest season with Deimos yet lol, I heard it’s great. Some of these takes are ROUGH but I agree with a lot especially the Ranked 2.0 and the Lord Tachanka ones. I think ranked should have a stack detection feature. Where the game will recognize players who are five stacked and players who are either solo queued, duo queued, and so on and match them with players on the opposite team who are also queued the same to make the match more balanced and less irritating to play if someone is solo queued. This would also incentive randoms using coms and relying on each other for information and perhaps even meeting some new friends to play with.
