The reason that the bung is broken is the position of the hose clamp on the fitting. Notice that the top of the clamp is currently facing up towards the hood. When you close the hood, the hood liner contacts the clamp and pushes the bung down. Eventually, it will break the nipple. The fix is super simple (and free); simply use your clamp pliers, loosen the clamp and rotate it so that the tangs face the front of the car rather than straight up. When you close the hood now, the liner will not come into contact with the clamp!
Thanks Nick do you know what size threaded plastic pipe connector is I went to the autoparts shop and they had some in brass it looked like the 5/16"might be the right size but not sure.

Loud fans ??
Did you check your exhaust manifold heat shield.. over time it rusts and breaks free and sits against the fans when it is turned on
Thanks for good video. Did you replace or repair the reservoir tank ?
KS Lee repaired the tank, used a small pipe from bnq. never had any issues after. replacement tank was around £40 repair cost was around £3.
Thanks for the reply. I wonder how did you fix it. Did you fix it with some glue like an epoxy?
Thanks for the video could you please show us how you replaced the hose
Hi didn't replace the rubber hose. i went to B &Q and purchased a small threaded plastic pipe connector and used that to join them together.
