I have the same Art Deco peacock tray and I've never seen another! Bought mine in the 80s. So pretty!

Robert Wood made beautiful mountain view paintings. My mom and grams had one his reproduction pieces in their living rooms during the 70's and 80's.
I have an extensive vintage marble collection, handed down from my grandfather. I wasn't a big fan at first, but I am now- some of them are so beautiful!! It is fun to get a container out & carefully look at all of them, they are definitely conversation pieces! Thank you for a fun video! I always enjoy tagging along with y'all.

It's funny that she says the store looks bare - that looks great compared to the thrift stores in my area! Mine are overflowing with clothes, not much else.

The Goodwill stores in my area are like that store. Bare shelves. Even worse, ours is always picked clean of any interesting items. The shelves are stocked with stuff like the junk left over from a 3 day yard sale. I live in north central Pennsylvania. I really envy being able to shop in those nice fully stocked Goodwill stores.
Everybody had Robert Wood in the 60’s. Ours was a seascape hanging above our vinyl colonial sofa. Yikes!
We probably had the same one. 😊 Our "sofa" (chesterfield or couch in Canada) wasn't Colonial but it was boxy and 6-8' long with a floral pattern that was wild and shades of brown. 😄 Mom loved the Ocean and his paintings were almost always large scale....questionable design mix but that was the era.

You should have gotten the Robert Wood painting!! I sold one like that in my antique booth for $150.00. The originals sell for $3,000-4,000.Reproductions can bring 75.00 or more depending on the size and type.
I grew up with one above our chesterfield in the living room (beach scene) ... I never really liked it but when I saw the artist's name again I got a little verklempt. Thank you for that...a total 1970's moment.😊

I thought the same thing as soon as I saw the painting! My parent's had one. He was a prolific painter of his time.

Please occasionally show red items, some of us decorate with red year round. I have Boho, eclectic, whimsical style heavy on the red, blue, clear etched glass and frosted glass.

I bought a brass trinket box by those Fentons. Claire is an artist/designer and her husband is a "real" Fenton. My box is 1970s boho, very good quality, footed, cool latch and handle. It also had a florist sticker on the bottom with evidence there had been flowers. I paid $2...just to solve the mystery. IDK if technically we can say we have "a Fenton", but IMO, its all a state of mind and I'm digging that box and that pitcher. Claire and Romey had it going on, too. ✌

My mom had that exact painting in our living.. I'll always remember Robert Wood. My brother and I would make up stories about that scene.

Eclectic pairing of a few Quality pieces with a white set can allow the majority of the dishes to go through the washer leaving just a few for hand washing.

Goodwill needs a lidless, dented, broken and cracked discount section. This may encourage crafters to choose pieces they would normally pass on because of prices!

The picture tray with the peacock is art Noveau style from the 1920's it is vintage, Not art Deco i am a specialist in art deco decor living many years on the beach surrounded by art deco...definately not art deco!!

I have an old tray similar to that one with the peacock. Got it from my grandparents. Different motive, and slightly different edges, but probably from the same era.
You think your GW is sparse? You should see ours in Farmville, Va. Its horrible! They have 3 sets of shelves that are maybe 8ft long and some on the walls around a corner, and they have NOTHING!

My husband said put your hand over the spot of the tape after applying the lighter fluid. Let it warm up under your hand several minutes. Up to ten minutes he said. When replacing sticker on vehicles when replacing broken Windows this what they do it you don't want to buy them again.

That’s a slate piece with the butterfly. We have a slate roof so I recognize it from the pieces of roof on the ground.

I can never film in my local Goodwill as all the hard goods are on shelves on top of the clothing racks. You can hardly see the items and can forget about getting good footage of them......I have been to a few Goodwills that are set up like yours, which is a much better set up. And I would have to do voice overs due to the blaring music! I absoulutley LOVE the Tray!

EXACTLY!!! I work at a thrift store and I taught all my coworkers to NOT put the price sticker over any maker’s marks!
The ring tone is the generic S9 Samsung ring.
I read that Goodwill was sued so part of the agreement was they had to put stickers over the mark. I believe it said something about dealing with fakes.

The Robert Wood is not a "fake" it is a print, perhaps on canvas. He is a famous painter, they did millions of the prints of some of his more popular paintings. But they do have some value, just not as much as the originals of course. I have that exact one. plus a few others I really like them.

I live near where Fenton art glass was made, in WV, and I didn't know about the ceramics, either! I think they just sold the use of their name. At least some of it is made in ITALY!

I went to my goodwill and saw that same racoon plate! But it was $4.99.
Truth on the Goodwill is location and level of donations. Here in Texas it’s privately owned and was featured as a gross money maker with very little going to the community or disabled. So people are taking things to other locations or online thrifting themselves. Everyone knows the value of there stuff we searching for the people that don’t care. Lol

Well, now I'm confused LOL. Here is what happened, I watch your channel on streaming TV. I was looking for recently uploaded videos and the Aug 31 2020 video came up. I did not look at the date but while watching it I am seeing familiar content and wondering why you would date it Aug 17, 2021. Take into consideration it was the wee hours of the morning and I could have been nodding off. I can't comment on the streaming TV so I went to my phone to make a comment as to why you would label the re-run as a recent video. I mistakenly commented on the 'waiting out the rain' video. My apologies, I hope this clears things up. I'm the one who needs coffee.😂
