Its a typical song that they had sing by gambling and drinking.
And "Wein her zum Henker" mean something like, "damn bring me more alcohol" while they gambling and he got sentimental cause of drinking and he try to drown his sadness.

There is a stanza missing.
On top of that these lyrics are from a poem at the end of the 19th century, so had nothing to do with the Landsknechte, who were a thing 300 years before that (15th and 16th century).
I am German, and I like to keep my history clean.
A lot of "Landsknecht"-Songs suddenly "appeared" in the 1920s, before the Nazis seized power, most likely to instill an artificial "Landsknecht"-feel among their soldiers, like "Des Geyers schwarzer Haufen", which was composed exactly in the 1920s, unsurprisingly by a Nazi. Not a decade earlier. The poem it is based on appeared around twenty years earlier. Still not even remotely Landsknecht times. These are mostly pre-WW-I or WW-II songs. You can easily tell by the language used. This is all modern German. 15th/16th century German has not so much to do with what you see today. Even a native would struggle with a lot of the words & expressions. The Luther-bible was written exactly at that time. Try reading it (the original).

Yes many are from the 1920s, but the style is Landsknecht-style, that's why you can still categorize them as such. The song creators of the 20s often made it after the impressions of ww1 or just out of patriotism and not directly for the ns-ideology.
