- This video is to demonstrate using 2 Obsbot Tail Air cameras in a church event being controlled by the remote control.
Everything has been filmed using the Tail Air, with no post production besides the transcoding and editing the audio. I used the app only to set up the manual camera settings such as ISO, Shutter and white balance.
Audio in the intro with me talking was recorded on wireless go mic into the Tail Air, and for the church mass, it was recorded on a separate Zoom P4 device and edited in post.
NOTE: I used 2 phones 1 for each Camera so not 2 for each camera.
The church mass is about 24 minutes along (edited) but I have left it long so you can watch and see the the quality of the camera. The settings were difficult as it was a very hot and sunny day, so the light was always changing, and very bright in some places, but settings were all on manual.
The quality we get from these tiny webcams is amazing. I have a full sized ptz camera but the size of these makes me want to get at least one of these cameras.
They are very impressive little cameras. I am testing them in conferences and streams using NDI so hopefully will upload some edits in the coming weeks. Definitely worth it and get the remote as it helps not needing to use the app and multiple phones
so sweet. Like being there. Cool is to be able to switch the views yourself as a viewer
Very nice! thanks for the review. How long you can use the camera battery?
I was using a power bank during the video. I believe on battery it lasts around 60-90 minutes depending on what you're recording (1080p or 4k) . I'll do battery tests in the near future
Thank you for sharing what you have done with the Tail Airs at a live event. Are you planning on using them for filming at lower light venues, for example if filming a dance school show or am-dram production with the Obsbots at either side of the stage capturing the action on the stage remotely whilst say filming straight on with a manned camera from the back of the venue? That is something I would find valuable to know if you think that it would then all edit together well afterwards in post production. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this question.
Welcome. Yes I will be using it in my various Corporate filming/streaming setups. I have several upcoming jobs which I will be using it where the camera`s will be setup either side and in front of the stage, with manned XA55 cameras at the back of the venue. Once I have those and edited will share clips to see how it looks. Dance School shows etc I am unable to share due to privacy and GDPR so sadly that I cannot share.
Nicely done. I love the International Mass! How did y9ou switch between the Tail Air's? I'm not sure about how the multicam works.
Thanks. I was switching with the remote :) just push cam 1 button or cam 2 button . :)
