    Interesting factoid: The extra 385 yards (or .2 miles) in the modern marathon came about in 1908 at the Summer Olympics in London. That year, Queen Alexandra asked the organizing committee to extend it from 25 miles so that the winner could finish in front of the royal box at the stadium.

      Another interesting factoid the marathon is 1 of about 30 events in mario and sonic at the Tokyo Olympics the divided ➗️ the events into 2 sections events with 3d character sprites like karate boxing and the javelin and events with 2d character sprites like the 1 I just mentioned and the long jump

    I would say Jerry Springer, because he became the mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio, and he also became famous in the year 1968.

    That was a tough break for Brent on that $125,000 question. I agreed with whatever his phone-a-friend said about Jerry Springer, since Jerry was the mayor of Cincinnati one time.

      Also, surprisingly, using 50/50 first didn't hurt him too much, as the audience had enough of a spread to convince him (I knew the answer thanks to my elementary art class).

      Such a terrible way to lose $32k by just making a blind guess. They were both just completely guessing. At least if he went with Springer it would be because he knew of his background as a politician.

    Somebody else said it better than I did, but it seems like Dan lucked his way into $32,000. Did it feel that way to anybody else?

    • @zeaferjones1404
      @zeaferjones1404 3 роки тому

      Dan used his life lines perfectly. There is book smart and there is common sense smart. I've seen too many book smart people use the wrong life line and then having to use all the life lines on one question. He knew to ask the audience on a fairly easy poetry question, to ask his english major friend about a book he forgot about, and to use the 50/50 and get a little lucky on the one he sort of knew.

    • @jimduggan8962
      @jimduggan8962 2 роки тому

      Yea he was terrible. I kept laughing at how bad he was an then was like wait how the heck did he get to $32k.

    • @jimduggan8962
      @jimduggan8962 2 роки тому

      @@zeaferjones1404 "Common sense smart" isn't getting you anywhere on millionaire. You need book smarts. He got lucky because all his questions were so easy but he used all his lifelines. And almost 100% of contestants use ask the audience first, then phone a friend, and last 50/50 when its a straight guess. Occassionally the 50/50 is used at a different time if the players able to eliminate 2 wrong answers themselves.

      @@jimduggan8962 This guy definitely had book smarts too. I feel like pop culture and history are the main ones you have to be good at. I'm not great at either of those but I have seen smart people miss on ones that I consider easy.

    OMG, the whole world know Aretha as the queen of soul. Shame on this guy. I mean if you were to ask a black man who is called the king of rock n roll , he would not have to call a friend!!!!

    • @jimduggan8962
      @jimduggan8962 2 роки тому

      that's not exactly a perfect comparison. Elvis was way more popular than Aretha overall. Rock n Roll is a much wider and more popular genre overall. I'm also not sure how popular Soul music was with white people. This guy also probably just listened to The Beatles, Led Zepplin, classic rock type music. Aretha would've been more popular with his parents if anything.
