My daddy's family came to Tennessee from Haywood County, NC so I was excited to see a bean named for one of my ancestors! Janice Swanger Reese

This sounds incredibly fascinating. You found the varieties of beans that have been used by Native Americans for a thousand years! I have so many questions. Out of all of those rare bean varieties, where there any that pushed the boundaries of early spring maturity? What about high nutrition beans that store very well over the winter? Where there any varieties that grew an extra strong and tall stem, allowing prolific levels of seed pods, and did not need to be staked up? I live in Connecticut and would love to grow something no one else is.

I enjoyed this very much and have found seed saving, especially with stories involved, fascinating
