At the 1st Friday breakfast, Bill Best spoke about saving yesterday's seeds for today and tomorrow. Bill heads the Sustainable Mountain Agriculture Center Inc. in Berea Kentucky where they identify, collect, and promote heirloom fruits and vegetables in Appalachia.

I have devoted my life to growing and giving away rare seeds. Are there any other young people out there like me? It makes me sad to see that so many of these elders have moved on.
