Sledgehammers look great 👌 I like the big block treads , should give some good traction over loose dirt and clear well in wet and sticky situations. The Orange combo goes well with the Maxx's colour's too 👌 Great vid earl, look forward to seeing it run.

Great video Earl not sure if you're aware but Traxxas released a couple months ago the front bearing hubs that have the wider bigger bearing in it like the RPMs but Traxxas makes them too now 💯👊👍🛠️

Got the lockup’s on mine just a little heavy for the drivetrain I think … the sledgehammer should be a little lighter hopefully don’t balloon as much as stock … I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞 …by pulling tire from rim just a bit will allow glue to go in a little further … just a little time consuming but works well 👍👍👍
Hey Earl I noticed the cuts on the wheels do have a slight difference! Probably won’t matter to drive just the looks. I definitely like the orange rims though!
I wonder why you haven’t tried the Duratrax six pack MT Belted tires yet Earl…. The tread pattern is as nubby as any good set or tires plus they never balloon when you go full trigger and they’re massive so your ability to do flips is really good….also with the Pro-Line tire glue….. when I’m finished using it …. I put the application tips in a pill vile filled with acetone so they never clog up after use …..works great…… thank You for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯

Kids these days will never know the feeling of trichlorethane instantly absorbing into the skin 😂 Seriously, though, from general maintenance to packing bearings, never wore them. And why can’t these companies get anything right out of the box? I’m so tired of hearing, “that’s just how it is.” You should never need to glue pre-glued tires! That’s the whole point of buying pre-mounted tires, ffs. 🤦
Yes RTR should never need to be torn down and reassembled right and filling fluids and lock tight and glueing things that’s an assembly issue and not ready to run it’s like ready to rebuild right 💯💯
I think the maxx v2 might be harder to backflip because of the longer chassis. Those xmaxx tires look like they should do better than stock but I think I'm going to put the outcast 8s wheels on mine. 👍🏽
Hey Earl. Im looking at getting the sledghammers for my xmaxx. I run 20/50 on a max6 with stock motor and a large capacitor pack. I think i may actually stick with unbelted version...your thoughts? My guestions was about the XRT new rim style that did eventually become available. Did you ever try it? Stronger wheel?
I like the tires but I'm going through that alot with them not being glued good to I don't no why they even put it on if you still have to glue them but it is what it is lol
Hopefully they don't rip as easy the slegehammer on my hoss are holding up nice even though it's only 10th scale.. the definitely look good on the xmaxx 👍
