I’ve worked security at a couple of places. One armed and one unarmed. I can only speak about the people I worked with. Outside of a few good officers I worked with the rest were horrible. Some were scared and wouldn’t back you up. Some were dumber than shit. Some never understood they aren’t law enforcement. The best security people I worked with were former correctional officers.
That guard is going to be going to prison, I hope that rush of being a big man was worth it because the only thing he is going to be guarding is his rectum..
***** per TN law they must be licensed and per that law they may not have a felony [62-35-117 (4)(A)] or literally any crime involving violence against a person or property [62-35-117 (4)(B)(iii)], to carry weapons they must be certified to do so [62-35-125], local jurisdictions have very little to regulate [62-35-131 and 62-35-138] I am currently reviewing the documentation regarding their powers but since you got a lot of your post wrong I don't believe you. Further one thing the guards don't have is qualified immunity which means if they are wrong they have little protection further they are not police so they are not covered under TN law that protects police. Local courts might put up with their shenanigans but appeal their actions above and the. It gets real.
So a security guard crossing the line and he goes to jail, a cop crosses the line and he goes on payed leave until people forget and back on the job🤔🤔 I’m confused ,

Some times it does happen and in all honesty it is retarded they are in a position of power and if anything they should be held to the highest standards possible. I'm not the type to blame cops for everything nor do I believe they are out to get people but they should be responsible for their own actions. For example a few weeks back it was on the local news a officer in Chicago killed a 14 year old black child. She was apparently neighbors and for a long time never trusted the kid. One day when she gets home she opens the door and sees him in her home and empties her fire arm on the unarmed child. However she was mistaken as she accidentally went into their apartment and assumed it was hers and unloaded on the child. The women was white and the child was black and I do not for a second feel she should get off with anything short of murder. If you are a cop or in any position of power you should be held to the highest standard of the law possible. Do I feel she went into the apartment on purpose to kill the teen? No, I do not feel she wanted to kill him I do believe given the whole situation she honestly believed he broke into her apartment and mistakenly took him as a burglar (given the whole situation and how it played out) but I do not for a second she should receive anything short of murder. This is even before you take a second to think about the situation, how do you mistaken your apartment for theirs? How do you not notice the difference between them once you have entered, Why do you not lock your door in Chicago (putting your key into the lock and it not working would have been a good notice something is wrong), and how do you not give an unarmed "burglar" a moment to speak (not in the sense of trying to rationalize a burglary but between the time it takes you to pull your fire arm and aim it at them telling them to get down vs unloading on them instantly). I believe if she would have even given the teen a second to speak he would still be here today and it's sad someone lost their life over someones ignorance. My understanding is tho she opened the door seen him (while she was still at the door) and shot him multiple times.
I remember a couple years back a officer in LAPD went crazy and started shooting a bunch of cops saying how he will expose how corrupt LAPD is. I don't agree with his actions, but can't say he was wrong about the corruption part.

And if it was a cops 2nd offense at such, he would be under paid leave pending investigation and then "transfer to another department" thus making the investigation void. It's a pretty common happening. That's why I'm personally against most of these police unions, they have policies designed to protect them when they misbehave.

It's the responsibility of the individual security companies to ensure that their officers are regularly updated and recertified in their firearms skills and handling and criteria. Simple brandishing of a gun without just cause is subject to indictment and criminal charges.
This fool has no buisness in this line of work. I agree with you. Im in this line of work unlike this dumbshit I have a brain and knowledge of force continuum

Yep but the police do shit like that all the time and they dont stack lthe charges. In fact they look the other war ur cover it up for them. That's their normal policy
Its like people are stating, he broke into the peoples car. You cant legally do that, unless you have a warrant, or probable cause or if someone is hurt and cant open the doors or roll down the windows, like in the case of a child being locked inside a hot car. You still have to pay for the damage done to said car, but you are aloud to get someone out.
@@BeastOrangeVI it has nothing to do with policy. It has to do with the fact that police are unionized. But they dont do shit like this as much as you are trying to make it seem. 99% of police interactions go the way they are supposed to, does that mean that there are no shit cops, no there are, but while most of them have a shit attitude toward someone they stop at a traffic stop, etc, they dont do shit like this. But the police union needs to go away, because it is extremely corrupt, in the instances that issues like these happen with a police officer.
Florida Law: The duties of this security guard is to observe and report. Any use of force should only be attempted if it is in the effort to defend himself/herself. Extremely low pay and extremely little training is why this happens. I feel for the guard, I'm sure, in his mind he felt that he was just doing his job, however as a result of the afore mentioned, he just got in over his head. He'll never work in security or be able to legally carry a fire arm again. Glad that no one was hurt.
ohh please stop already with that bullshittt "poverty mentality" people down in Mexico are poor and dont carry themselves like entitled rats like the usual suspects here in the U.S

I am a security officer he is a absolute disgrace he makes all security officers look bad yes there are times when me personally get mad or upset but it never turns physical that’s the point is you don’t get physical unless it’s self defense
I work security at a parking garage myself & i must say that security guard acted like a clown from the get go, me personally i would of just kicked the men of property for urinating.
When you catch two men pissing in a private garage, you are supposed to make a report and perhaps record it. Then send all of that in to police. Weapons and arguments never end well.
A security guard is supposed to help prevent thefts, assaults on other employees/customers and damage to the property or the grounds. Its not a license to wave a gun around and dish out their own version of vigilante justice. The guy obviously just wants to have power over others, not to protect
Nah they probably sued the company... They won't get anything from this chump if they do sue him.... The little bit of money he had is going to lawyers
and get what? The company is responsible for who the hire when you become a armed guard they do a psychic evaluation...That dude is suppose to observe and report never get hostile unless last line of defense he just like cops just wanted to fire his weapon......Ego is mostly your own worse enemy
Police and security guards both should never pull their guns except to protect American citizens. They should never pull guns to bully or force their will on other citizens.
It appears to look stage. The security guy couldn't be that reckless and careless to that point. In this case, two wrong doesn't make it right, but, in this case, the security wrong will cost him his rights.
Security Officers are allowed to carry guns. Security officers actually have positions they can apply to carry on the job. Educate yourself on the security trade.
Nick Francis : Shit, I made $22 an hour as an Armed Security Officer. And we carried tasers for situations like this. We didn't have to resort to our Firearms. Deadly Force is the very last option.
@Ish uh not always.... There are plenty of places that are pay 12-14 bucks an hour for armed security.... There are probably places that pay even less....
I love it when Kera Mashek comes back from the clip when her eye's roll from left to right, bored as hell, like she just wishes she was somewhere else rather than standing in front of that parking garage! 🤣
All he had to do was to call for back up,not take matters into his own hands, it's not like these guys were committing the crime of the century. And yes , the reporter looks stoned as hell !
A little boy got shot playing in a park with a toy gun. Crime of the century? A man was walking through walmart with an airsoft gun like it was a cane. The gun was a product walmart sold. He was gunned down without the cops saying a word to him. These two were commiting a crime. Not the crime of the century. but a crime none the less. And the people commiting the crime of the century(actual cops killing people) are having excuses made for them by people who think the life of people is based on their skin color.
Same with the guy in New York city selling cigarettes and died at the hands of the police. If this guy had one level up badge as a police officer he wouldn't be in trouble at all.
@@JRMCNEA wow... you are extremely naive is you think people are taking up for police, solely based on someones skin color, because thats just not happening. And police arent killing people because of their skin color. Stop making everything that happens about skin color. Stop taking up for criminals who make dumbass choices that end up getting themselves killed. The two instances that you used as an example are VERY VERY RARE, and in those instances the cops who shot them deserve punishment and prison time, which believe it or not, actually happens, except in even more rare instances when it doesnt happen. Stop making cops out to solely be the bad guys in these kinds of situations, because 9 times out of 10 they arent.
They do 9 times out of 10. They have to do investigations and go over everything, so thats normally why cops get out on bond. Investigations can take a long time, depending on how much information and evidence there is to go through. Once the investigation is over, they go to trial and are convicted of whatever crime they actually committed. And believe it or not, police do actually report cops who do shit thats unjustifiable to the higher ups, which depending on how many reports are filed on one particular officer, will result in termination, or prison time, depending on what kind of conduct, or what crimes theyve committed. If they have no prior infractions, then they are given a second chance, except in the cases where they actually do kill someone in cold blood, which is so rare, you would be struck by lighting before you are murdered in cold blood by an officer. It happens, just not a lot. And its honestly bullshit when they dont face punishment other then being fired, which again does happen, but not a lot.
First off my Respects to the good security who put their lives on the line because they protect us too! But this guy went far beyond his Observe and Report status! He could have deescalated by writing down license plate number and report to the police! But potentially killing someone over peeing in a garage complex?! Damn Bruh, you're on your own!
This is why security guards, who nearly always are failed cops or cop wannabes who couldn't even meet the low standards required to become a cop, should never have guns while on duty. Recently, a very young security guard at a local lumber yard was carrying a revolver. I asked him if he would shoot me if I stole fifty bucks of wood. Getting no response, I cancelled my order and will never shop there again. This is nuts, but not at all surprising, given the unhinged mentality of security guards that I have known or interacted with.
+blindlemon9 where did you ever get the police officers have low standards to get hired? It's one of the hardest jobs to get. The amount of background investigation alone precludes most people from getting hired. Some get through and some are not suited for the job. But to say that all security guards are cop wannabes is stretching it.
well it's more a 60/40 split between wannabe assholes that could not hack it but think there fucking gods with a badge and the average joe who is side lined while with a similar job till they can get into the academy. I've met more asshole security guards on job sites that think they have just as much power as the cops than security guards that might stop ask a few questions and move on.
+blindlemon9 Why would you ask if he would shoot you? That's just stupid. I've gotten asked those kind of questions all the time, would you shoot me, would you chase me? I just reply with a smile and say, "You have to do it to find out." Ask a dumb question get a dumb response.
+onrr1726 I hate to break it to you but a security officer on private property has more power and authority than a police officer. On private property or other property is able to make rules that the police are required to enforce. They don't need to read you your rights to talk to you for example. I'm sure you'll have an argument for everything I just said but that's the truth of the matter.

I worked for 27 years in private security including 13 years in a 3-level parking garage. Usually, the power-hungry guys like this were the first ones to be fired.
I don't understand what he was doing. He blocked the car and then what? I mean generally you assume a guard would do that to keep them from leaving until proper authorities got there but they told him to call the cops and he didn't so what he was just blocking them in to be an asshole? Was he demanding they apologized I don't understand what his end game was supposed to be here if this didn't derail the way it did. I mean if you're not going to call the cops on them what's the point of stopping them you have no police powers to do anything.
What he should have done was right up notes, call the police, and let them handle it from there, but instead he decided that he was going to try to fight the guys and when he missed the punch he threw, he pulled his gun and shot off 4 rounds, then broke into the guys car and removed bullet casings. Since these guys literally posed no threat to him or anyone else, he really only should have either detained them or get their names, and license plate and let the cops do their job. He wouldnt be able to use that he feared for his life, especially since it all on recording. It wouldnt fly in court, and he cant use self defense either because he was the one who instigated it in the first place
Sad part of this whole thing is we are only hearing about it because he was a security guard...If he was an actual cop and over stepped his authority like this you wouldn't hear shit about it...
My dad was shot and killed in his own bed in 2015 4 of the 7 shots hit his back. door was kicked in looking for 2 guys that didnt live at his house. When you move a cart to block someone from leaving that I believe is called false imprisonment, the driver should have called the cops right away instead of arguing with the security guard who clearly has a chip on his shoulder.

And former military
I’m former military same with the background in security as you. 100% correct!

***** per TN law they must be licensed and per that law they may not have a felony [62-35-117 (4)(A)] or literally any crime involving violence against a person or property [62-35-117 (4)(B)(iii)], to carry weapons they must be certified to do so [62-35-125], local jurisdictions have very little to regulate [62-35-131 and 62-35-138]
I am currently reviewing the documentation regarding their powers but since you got a lot of your post wrong I don't believe you.
Further one thing the guards don't have is qualified immunity which means if they are wrong they have little protection further they are not police so they are not covered under TN law that protects police. Local courts might put up with their shenanigans but appeal their actions above and the. It gets real.

I find what you say to be full of bull crap because why are these officers not up to date that the taxpayers pay their salary. they get out here and treat the non-criminal people like they are so much better than the person the taxpayer that pays their salary. you trying to be so calm with them and answer their question but they just continue to escalate things with their attitude and acting like they have the authority to treat you like they are your Messiah. so yes I think this guy fit right in with the police department I don't feel any shame about what he did because your everyday police officer do the same bull crap. well it's good that he got arrested at least he's alive because if the police would have got calling he would probably be dead.

Tremain Bowman they charged him with burglary for going into the car. He was charged with tampering with evidence for removing shell casings from his gun that he fired
And then he skipped his court date and had his bond revoked.

Bruh... all this for a $15/hr security job? Take it easy!!!
A security guard is supposed to help prevent thefts, assaults on other employees/customers and damage to the property or the grounds. Its not a license to wave a gun around and dish out their own version of vigilante justice. The guy obviously just wants to have power over others, not to protect

Rob F , low IQ...
Pissing in the parking garage calls for a fine or ticket, this guy wanted to kill them..shit is crazy
Stop making cops out to solely be the bad guys in these kinds of situations, because 9 times out of 10 they arent.

i'll bet he tried to be a cop but failed that, too.
Man they got him quick. They should do the same with crooked cops
You don’t know how justice works. You and the other 12 idiots that liked this know nothing about law or immunities.
Good, throw his ass in jail and sue the dogshit out of the company he worked for.
We need more security guards like Paul Blart.
Hunam
I asked a simple question. No need for the insults.

What the Fark was that security guard thinking
I don't understand what he was doing. He blocked the car and then what? I mean generally you assume a guard would do that to keep them from leaving until proper authorities got there but they told him to call the cops and he didn't so what he was just blocking them in to be an asshole? Was he demanding they apologized I don't understand what his end game was supposed to be here if this didn't derail the way it did. I mean if you're not going to call the cops on them what's the point of stopping them you have no police powers to do anything.
GenericName007 Pretty Sure He Didn’t Know What He was doing🤣🤣🤣
he was hungry. it took all his energy to get in and out of that cart. he was looking to rob them for fried chicken money.
