I am so happy to see Tron highlighted! That is my favorite modern deck, and the deck I first started on! I enjoyed the OG gruul build with Pyroclasm, but then I really enjoyed experimenting with golgari tron, with Collective Brutality. Turned out to be particularly good against the RDW that was historically such a tron counter.
I've been out of magic for a long while, but it's nice to see some decks still able to do their thing despite the powercreep. I probably would play Tron if I didn't buy into Burn some years ago.
The new tron deck is a control deck, I feel he played it like the old version. As Mengucci said, you should not go down to 4 with the new version, because having tron doesn’t matter as much with the one ring and 4 mana karn.
My favorite iteration of tron that I built was using karak clan ironworks. With planner Nexus coming out in modern horizons three I am wondering if maybe that version of Tron is viable in Legacy.
11:55 Karn should've exiled urza's tower. Op got tower from map, which means it is more likely he does not have another map. Also, oblivian stone costs 5 to activate. Since there is 4 mana remaining, op cannot board wipe in response. If op top decks tower, karn player is still significantly ahead. If op needs to search for tower with another map or other search engines, he would not have enough mana to activate stone on the same turn
@@richardanthonydelossantos5899 he doesn't have the mana for this what? it costs 3 to play (he tapped tower to play it) so he only has power plant and mine left up which is 4 and it costs 5 to activate. op post is correct and literally mentions this case in it.
appreciating all the diverse content! ❤
Loved watching this as a Tron player. I'm sure you guys will do Jund but I would love to see an episode on Mill
Loving the modern content! Hope it sticks around after Ryan comes back

Well... people wanted narration, so here it is. Now are they going to complain that the narrator isn't the Ryan we're used to?

He uses tower and plant to activate the stone

The answer? More efficient, faster, and A LOT more dangerous.
It's cool to watch but the beast doesn't have haste :p
Bro why not kill the map with the mite before he could crack it on turn 2 ?
Pauper when?
