Great cinematic really well filmed joe real nice start to my friday so chilled out now felt like I was in the boat what you do is appreciate ❤ cheers fella 👍
Hi Joe, good to see you back in the water reawakening my own enthusiasm for Spearfishing/Freediving this season! I will be down your way early next month and hope to pop in the shop for a few goodies including a made to measure suit…. I haven’t been able to dive for a long while due to health reasons but your videos always cheered me up last year when I was laid up! Hopefully catch you then For a chat… Keith ( Red Jag Man)🏎️😉
Great to hear from you Keith I hope you're on the mend and ready for a season of vitamin sea. Look forward to catching you down the store sometime 👍👍🚗🚗🏁🏁
we love the sustainable foraging and the knowledge you share not just on the target species, but also the different crabs, kelp, seaweed, and shells. Please keep the videos coming.
I love how respectful you are for the sea life and never take more than you need regardless of size or numbers. Another great instalment, thanks Joe.👌👍
Great video as usual I love it when you go to start bay brings back so many memories when we use to dive the area when beesands had a caravan park Keep up the good work Got my boat down on Sunday last, sea should have been flat but wind direction and speed was forecast totally wrong My daughter insisted we went out so we had a fun but slow and wet trip around lyme bay
Nice one Joe. I saw you pass by no doubt on your way to scallops and then you hopped in as I was getting out after hassling a few lobsters. Had a great feed of lobster after I got out. It was such a lovely dive, despite the vis. No shortage of lobsters around I agree.
I remember I commented on one of your posts saying how I’ve always wanted to move to Devon and do all of this stuff, and I did it little place near Torquay would be amazing to see you one day and do one of these!
excelente ejemplo de pesca de autoconsumo, condiciones complicadas por el agua fria y la visibilidad, pero hay calidad pescasub y conoces muy bien tus aguas, saludos desde Fuerteventura
Joe you are not just a great diver you are a great human being . I’m very enjoying all those Video , I’m keen to learn spearfishing is any good places around Devon
New to the channel Joe. Here in the Channel Islands. Love the stuff and nice to here your back. 😊 started soearfishing last year. Love it and share you passion for underwater. Lure fish myself but spearing is taking a place in my day to day too. 😊 subbed. Come let me know how clean my spearing is 😂
Hi Joe pretty new here but really enjoying your content at the minute. How long do you hold you breath for when diving to forage as it quite a fair depth. Keep up the good work I’ll keep an eye out for the notifications 👍🏻
The food looks really good 👍 Salcombe is beautiful, but last time I went was last year for paddle board spearfishing but just ended up taking the gear on a paddle trip😂
Great and informative vid. Liked the unit of measurement you had. Nice thing 😊 Do you have a mussel warning in your country, or if you have, do you follow it?
Thanks Ben, just be super chilled out in the water. The more you relax the longer you can dive for! No idea on apps, my only training is in the sea but I've heard apnea walks can help
Thanks for the answer, hum I see, and if you use the 70 gun but a litte more mix, litte for some seabass or pollock and flatfish, do you still use the twin 14mm?
@@franciscorodrigues4064 It's actually 60cm sorry, I wasn't clear on that. It's really too short for seabass or pollock it has a very short range indeed. It's just perfect for picking up things like cuttles, plaice and other flatties. I regularly use a 75 for bass and pollock though, and then my preferred choice is a single 16mm band.
Hi thereJPK, between you and DMann ive bought an entire new set of sf kit, cost a bloody fortune! Lol keep it going, you're doing great! A question? Why is no one using pneumatic guns these days? Ive only ever used pressure guns for sf stuff....
All be worth it for the fun beneath the waves 👌 Pneumatic guns are indeed very rarely used these days. Now rubber guns are so easy to maintain and the rubbers are so powerful I think pneumatics have had their day really. But if it works for you then all good!
Hi hope you doing well mate, first time I see a 60 cm guns with twin bands😂 suggest you to buy a low volume spearfishing mask and if you wearing glasses than get also corrective lenses for your freediving mask you will immediately notice day and night difference.Safe dives Mate!
Thanks boris. I've thought about corrective lenses however I can't see well enough really without the mask on and id need to taka specs everywhere the second T remove mask
@JoePkSpearfishing yess they are bit pricey in UK and scarce omer bandit and seac x low u fit models were all low volume and wide range corrective lens diopter were available if not mistaken till the -6 or so.If you search you can find but they are really scarce and also never use lenses even very fancy end expensive ones while diving a good friend of mine really got complications due to that.
I'm surprised about your bottom time. I have been spearfishing for about 6-7 years. Training freediving in a club once a week, and do tables 3-4 times a week on the couch. My breath hold are still around 30-45sec. And that's only when I'm really warmed up, about 20-30 dives. Question: do you do any land/dry training?
At 45 seconds you pretty much have enough bottom time to catch pretty much anything the UK has to offer. I don't do any dry training I don't have time. But urbex is right. training your muscles to work with low oxygen is the key. Also make sure you are taking a good lungful of air before you dive. Stretching can really help with that especially if you feel stressed or aren't able to dive too often.
Awesome feed. Great to see you back making video, Joe! 🦞👍🏽
Good to see you back out making videos 😊. Much love from the Caribbean 🇹🇹
Ur back! About time...lol.
Welcome back. Your videos kept me going through winter 😊
Thanks Shai that's great to hear 😍

Scallops one of my favourite seafoods. The scenery is amazing.

It is a lovely area for boating and foraging! Good to hear your adventures are in full swing 👌😎
Always great to see your content Joe. Looking forward to seeing more throughout the summer!

thats a tasty scallops😮
Love your channel mate, it helped me fuel my new hobby/addiction 😂 I'm hoping to get out on my first dive of the year at the end of the month
Thanks Dale that's awesome to hear. Have fun on the adventures!

Well in with the lobsters 👍👍
That video was so well put together Joe. Loved the drone footage and cook up on the boat looked epic too 👌cheers!
Thanks I,m very glad you enjoyed the video, more to come 👌
Thanks so much !!!! good to have you back !!!!!!!!!
Thanks Roberto 😎
Great to see you back Joe! The content is as always... top-notch!
Many thanks! Hope you enjoy the rest of the years vids 👌

Torbay is a great spot for sea foraging adventures!
It is great! Caught a huge lobster and made a pasta out of it!

¡Gracias por tu comentario! Estamos listos para un clima mejor... pero hagamos lo que podamos
Great video Joe. Excited to be back in the water again. Enjoyed the addition of a few tips, for those of us less experienced spearos/foragers.
Hi Malcolm, thanks for your comment and feedback 🙂 let's hope were in for an awesome summer
Awesome as always
Joe you are not just a great diver you are a great human being . I’m very enjoying all those Video , I’m keen to learn spearfishing is any good places around Devon
Anymore? I only found 2 and I enjoyed them both😊
Love these catch and cooks, my favourite videos to make and watch, keep them coming 🙌
Thanks same for me it completes the day so nicely 👌

Thanks it's awesome to hear you've started your spearfsihing journey. yes i will take a look 👌
Can you do a video on how to rinse your dive gear?
yes 👍
Love watching the show very informative
Cheers Daveo pleased you found it informative👌

Paddle boards are fun but it's where to store all the gear I guess !
Nice video, looks like your back again to Galician waters due to visibility,... lol..... the only difference is the shell and crabs....
Thanks! Yes and no sargo everywhere 😑
@@JoePkSpearfishing Oopppssss,..... Forget our sargo lol,..... you are right
Great and informative vid. Liked the unit of measurement you had. Nice thing 😊 Do you have a mussel warning in your country, or if you have, do you follow it?
Thanks v much for your comment, no we don't have a mussel warning that I'm aware of 😕
Great video as usual 💯👍🏻 really nice boat! What type/ model is it?
Many thanks Callum! It's a Brig Navigator 610.
@@JoePkSpearfishing thanks ill look it up... looking for a new boat that brig looks great 👍🏻
Can you do a review on your dive watch? (Cressi Nepto)
Thanks for your question this is certainly something I can go into detail on in future videos 👍👍
I am new and have enjoyed so far do you also bringing up trash? You didn’t mention trash at is the area that clean!,,
What head torch do you use?
Great content, just wondering what watch you're using to monitor your dives?
Cressi Nepto
What watch are you using here mate?
Another great video joe. Any tips on how told hold your breath longer or good apps I could use. Thanks.

@@JoePkSpearfishing no worries thanks joe. Will try relaxing a bit more and see how we get on. 👍🏼
Hi Joe, love your videos and the deep that you put on.
On your cressi 70 you use band of 16mm?
Thanks in advance, and continue the good work. love it
Thanks. I use twin 14mm bands which give enough power to get through big flatfish.
Thanks for the answer, hum I see, and if you use the 70 gun but a litte more mix, litte for some seabass or pollock and flatfish, do you still use the twin 14mm?

hi man! nice videos!!!!! 5mm wetsuite is good for uk sea???
Thanks! Yes a good quality 5mm suit is enough
Great video. @5:58 what fins are you using?
They are start point carbons - spearfishingstore.co.uk/product/start-point-carbon-fins/
@JoePkSpearfishing How do they compare to the other fins (Pathos?) you have been using?
What watch do you use?
are you using salvimar 14mm bands( the green one) ? What is your opinion about them ?
No I don’t use any Salvimar gear. These are dipped latex bands which I rate very highly!
Try battering the scallops with the roe on you won't regret it.
Will do !

Try doing your apnea tables while walking. It's better practicing while moving.
I do no Training at all, dive about 10 times a year max, about 3 stone over weight and I can often do a minute, must just be something you just have

👋
👍
nice but you should put the catch out of its misery instead of leaving it on the boat to die slowly, could see the cuttlefish was still alive
I am n freediver my self I just love the ocean . But why did you hav to shoot n cuttlefish.
That’s great 👌 Shot the cuttle to eat!
Cuttlefish are so cute . Take octopus . I lov deep fried octopus . Bro please leave my little cuttlefish . Lov spear fishing cheers
Good vid Joe but please stay off my ground 😉.
haha! Don't worry I'm not much of a threat 😂 Only training the lobsters to be more careful
Hi Joi, good videos! Should you be afraid of sharks in your sea?
👍
