My boy! I love Mechanikong... He's one of my favourite Showa kaiju and the best thing to come out of Toho's Kong movies!
I wish i had this film. I seen it once on tv in the 90s as a kid. It was so corny. But i love the old monster movies. I just picked up a dvd of Yongary at a 2nd hand yesterday. im gonna watch it with my son. Im a godzila nerd. How can you hate the dedication of a guy wearing a 200lb suit having fun kicking and destroying mini buildings. You know if you could do it you would and have a blast doing so.

Like many people when I first saw King Kong Escapes as a kid on Turner classic movies I thought that Mechani-Kong was just a knock off of Mecca. He is to say I was surprised to find out he predates him by almost 10 years.
I’ve always had a soft spot for him and that movie as a whole. I would love to see them take another shot at this character.

I believe you meant to say the "Showa" era which started off with 1954 Godzilla aka Gojira in it's original Japanese title and ended in 1975 with Terror of MechaGodzilla.
The "Heisei" era wouldn't happen until 1984 and ended in 1995 with Godzilla vs Destroyah.
Showa era is 1954 original all the way to 1975’s Terror of Mechagodzilla. 1984’s return of Godzilla was the start of the Heisei era and it ended with 1995’s Godzilla vs Destoroyah.

If I remember correctly several of the movies in the previous era of touhou films particularly the ones involving mechagodzilla basically involved a technology where they would cybernetically reconstruct an animal around the fossilized remains of a subject... For instance taking the fossil of a trilobite and using it as a genetic core to create a simulation of a live trilobite or taking the original Godzilla from the very first film and using its bones to create the skeleton of a new Mecha Godzilla. This sort of technology was hinted at in the Godzilla versus Khan movie when they used ghidora's skull to create the New Mecha Godzilla. I could totally see someone taking the skeleton of the original Kong that was shot down in New York and probably kept in the Smithsonian ever since.... Americans appropriating the fossil technology to create a cyborg Kong to serve as America's last line of defense against an invasion from Godzilla or other Kaiju. Of course I'm flying the whole system was pointed out where if the cybernetic organism got to riled up it would ignore any human programming in revert back to its previous instincts..... Cue rampage. And the modern era of movies I would suggest that separate from the efforts of monarch the US government actually steals the skeleton of one of the current Kong's parents and uses that to create a new mecha Kong. Which would be interesting since you could have father or mother versus their own son... Until the instinct override kicks in and you have one severely pissed off gorilla with all the technology that the US can muster behind it. Even better literally have it be a three-way showdown versus a superior Kaiju. Maybe a regenerated King Ghidorah. where Kong's cyberized parent sacrifices itself to save its child once again. There are plenty of options

What else makes it interesting for me is we've already got confirmed Canon that the Kongs are intelligent enough and have their brains wired correctly to be fully capable of communicating with humans. No such confirmation on godzilla, really. Intelligent animal is still an animal., regardless of how powerful it is. Although once again in the old mechagodzilla movie, the mechagodzilla built around the fossil technology did actually communicate directly with its human controller, saying goodbye before it basically underwent a Kamikaze maneuver.

Mecha KONG would Be Taller than Shimo Godzilla and He would be on All 4fours like a Gorilla and he would have King KONG 2005 Behavior and try to Get a Girl who he would eventually Kill of KONG doesn't Save the Girl..... But who Will the girl be? it can't be the little girl who uses Sign language in Gvk and GxK ... It has to be a Adult female.... Someone like Ann Darrow.....
Also i think Mecha KONG would not be as Lethal as Mecha Godzilla, i Believe Mecha KONG would have to be more Like Peter Jacksons KiNG KONG 2005 but at 500 Feet Tall or Taller than Shimo and Taller than MechaGodzilla...... 😶 I Think they Would Focus Mecha KONG on Strength and Durability and Personality, Like Maybe Mecha KONG would be Friendly to KONG until KONG sees how Corrupted and Evil Mecha KONG truly is.... Mecha KONG should be the Tallest Ape of All times and Like the Same Size as Mecha King Ghidorah..... KONG lokes Brawling Fights where he doesn't have to Worry about Weapons, 2021 or 2024 KONG like to Throw his Weight on Titans and Bulldoze any Titan he can.. however if they Throw in a KONG who is supposed to be a Mechanized Version of him KOMG will see that Mecha KONG also Like to Brawl and Throw his weight in Battle to so it would be like a MMA Battle
