I didn't pay much attention to this song when I first listened to Hawaii part 2, and honestly I regret that, this is probably my second favorite song in the album right behind the mind electric

i know there is lore behind this song but to me this song is about having the time to do things you want to do. the song starts with the speaker saying they overpaid their time. they want to do more and not have to worry about things coming up, they can go at their own pace and do things in what ever order they like and not have to spend time waiting (no more paying with time to experince something thats gonna be a while). but even with that they need alone time while also struggling with lonelyness due to being the only one like this. if they did add someone else to the time machine they wouldnt be free of all deadlines and worries anymore because the things that make deadlines (people) are now on the same level as him. and when the song comes back from the alone time where it goes quiet it dosent come back stronger. its a rest not a windup. to me the song is about a dream of being free of the constant energy sucking force of time.

Y'know, I have listened to the full album this song originates from and know perfectly the context behind it, however... When listening to it on it's own I can't help but get strong Komm Susser Todd energy, where it's the feeling of sudden happiness and mania when attempting suicide, with the song sounding all upbeat to an almost toxic degree yet the lyrics being about being alone and in a state that is horrible, and apparently 'leaving today' which yeah. I'm probably just overthinking this but I thought it was worth noting.

Some of the lines also make me more think of Timekeeper Cookie, but they’re the same person so that just kind of makes it better.
