My friends owned a music store and ordered me the preamp as a replacement part for an EC signature they had hanging on the wall, but I put it in my brand new Jeff Beck Signature along with 2 Texas Specials and a Fred humbucker. I changed the set up a few years ago. I do wish I had routed a cheap guitar body instead of a JB signature in midnight purple. I didn’t see any sign these guitars would hold any value. They technically sell for the same money now as new so I guess they have depreciated if you account for inflation but I figured since by 94 the 91 model was on consignment for $650, this one would be worth about $200 at best 30 years later. Actually the $2000 is just about equal to $200 back then so I’m not too far off I guess.
The Clapton signature Stratocaster is the highest output guitar in the world. Nothing even gets close. It has 140 times hugger output than a Gibson Les Paul. It has a very powerful preamp and is running a 9 volt battery Which makes its Stacked Hunbuckers ( vintage noice less ) 3 times more powerful in The Clapton signature Stratocaster and measue 29,4 Khom. The Clapton signature Stratocaster is Always active. Ot does not function without a battery. Easily the most powerful guitar in the world. Nothing even gets close.
I added treble bleed to my volume pot which was redundant because it already has a TBX tone control pot I guess i should check what's underneath pickguard if I own a early 90's strat.
Do you believe it’s worth the money and can I do this with just two pots? (Going to put this in my tele with a bridge humbucker and a single coil neck if it is possible)
Not sure if it is practical to do with only two pots as the kit is made up of 3 pickups and the booster board. It may be possible but unless you have good understanding and experience with electronics I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself and to pay someone to do it properly can be quite expensive. There were some pitfalls /problems in this project, such as additional shielding and routing of the pickup cavity to make room for the booster board. Also, although the pickups were supposed to be noiseless they weren't, because none of the magnets were grounded and were picking up extra electrical noise/buzz from the mains wiring in the room. It's possible but you can achieve 95% of this effect in a Tele by adding a 4-way switch which would allow your tele to run series or parallel. This would give the neck single coil a shot of humbucking mid and power.

Will this help get a super huge Jimi-SRV type tone? Thats what I am going for something along those lines.
