Baby Dragon is very smart and needs to be stimulated. Hang a black, white, and red mobile over his bassinet and he will be quiet for a while to give you and Lynn a break from holding him. Just a suggestion from an old mama. ❤ I love your beautiful family and look forward to meeting you in person one day. Hopefully after you open your restaurant!!

I don’t think I’ll ever buy a steamer like that, but it’s a great idea. I have tried the plate over a water bath technique to make these, and it was a disaster full of sticking, tearing, and inconsistent rice sheets. They tasted great with the smoked tofu filling I made, but I don’t think I’ll ever try again.
Congrats on your baby again. Enjoy every moment when they are so tiny because before you know it, they’ll be grown and gone. My twins are now in college, one studying abroad and 4,000 miles from home, the other is closer but just as busy with his own life. I miss them terribly, and my previous life of chaos has become quiet and predictable.

I usually like banh cuon more because its more flavor with the sweet fish sauce and mix herbs. Dim sum style cheung fun is ok, i prefer the HK street food style plain cheung fun with the 3 sauce peanut sauce, hoising,sriracha . ❤

Those rice rolls looked absolutely fantastic. I love that kind of food, but not having access to that type of steamer, I'll have to stick with the frozen variety unfortunately.
As for Baby Dragon only understanding Vietnamese, he needs to know both. My Filipino friend, she moved to Australia with her husband and child, when her child was nearly 2yo. They had previously lived in England, where her son was born. She had only spoken to her son in Filipino (Tagalog), despite them both being very fluent in English. When they came here, he still only knew Tagalog. She didn't want him to not know his native language. Then the time came for him to start school, and he couldn't speak a word of English, despite being here for nearly 4 years. Thankfully, being a child, he leant quickly. Now, his family in the Philippines laugh at him speaking Tagalog with an Australian accent.
My brother's wife is Cambodian. Her English was very limited when he finally convinced her to move her. She speaks to the children in both languages. They understand both, which is amazing to me that they know which is English and which is Khmer. Yet, they know. They speak English at school, but know they can speak Khmer (or English) at the local bakery that is run by a Cambodian couple.

You should make Congee/Jok. It's Chinese Rice Porridge. It's good and easier to digest. Fed to elderlies and it can even be used as baby food too to feed for your kid.

NEVER fast-forwarding because I love seeing You, Lyn and Baby Dragon💞 Seems like your baby loves movement so a baby swing with some soft music might help. Also try burping him often even when he's not feeding so he doesn't get colic which upsets babies' tummies. Never apologize because new families ALL go through this experience. It's ok.....this is normal.
