You give a lot of great advice. In my case, I started online because I had intentionally cultivated a niche audience years before launching a product. This helped me a lot. When I started selling my bags, things started rolling almost immediately.

There is always value in offering something either complimentary or as an incentive with a sale. The key in premium and luxury offerings is to make sure what you offer, and how you offer it is in keeping with the level of the brand you are creating, and it does not undermine a sale.
