I remember being in middle school in 2015 and staying up late watching the For Glory Fridays, viewer battle streams (not subs, viewers), and Nairo's projectile-only Link with the tag "Best Link" somehow actually winning games online. Now I'm here in 2024 and am so sad to see the door closed on smash 4 online 😢
The game where I not only started to take it seriously but also met a LOT of good people on. Mewtwo was one of the biggest joys. Mained Ganon even if he was bad but had a LOT of success with him. Falcon was too much fun, and picked up Lucina and Roy to do work with.. The game was the reason I found A LOT of the important people in my life. It will be missed.. Honestly? A lot. I gave the games Jank so much shit and still I can't deny I loved it. Rest in peace Smash 4.

Played some Smash 4 last night online for the last time. It was so weird to go back but I started getting in to it even though the controls were wonky, still miss Ness' up air even though new one is great. Insane how they took away the ability to change character when playing strangers... And miss that we can't communicate with the tags!
