Pretty sure like 80% of people steamrolled their first playthrough with greatscissors. Greatswords in this game are absolutely nuts, only thing stronger is magic.
Gonna be real I never touched a greatsword. Then again I’m often a sucker for guns and magic so I almost always throw my stats everywhere but the melee weapons
I played my first play through with a greatsword. Lol, I remember reaching the witch and only then realizing I can turn my greatsword into another greatsword. (Transmutation?) Haven't played in a while. And man, the light classes look so interesting with the extra movement abilities.
a possibly late pronunciation guide! "kureimoa" is a romanization of the japanese クレイモア, which is the Japanized version of the English Claymore! no idea why they did this for the name, but it's funny. Japanese is phonetic, so it's simply pronounced "koo-reh-ee-moh-ah". this has been your japanese lesson of the day.
Lemon from the Backlogs sent me here. First video of yours I've watched and I'm now subscribed. Can't wait to watch the whole playlist of salt and sanctuary runs
Love Lemon for recommending such amazing channels all the time and loving watching your backlog of S&S such a good game and i cant wait to see you grow bigger
Came here because Backlogs recommended your channel. Solid recommendation. Great content. Would love to see you do a long play video or series. Really dig the way your narrate.
One run that I did, but didn't complete, was "starting gear only". You can use charms and rings and also are free to upgrade your gear, but no unequiping and you gotta do it with every class.
lemon sent me, like your content, def a solid recommend, and for some reason, i cant see my text, browser is being weird, but i hope im getting this all typed out, if not, oh well, keep up the good work
One of my favorite games. If you're ever into doing a salt and sacrifice run, I've had the urge to try a speed run in that game doing coop. (Mainly cause coop is x2 more fun). We can even invite players to invade us!
i love these vids im curious if you are gunna try the same challenge runs for salt and sacrifice this game still is absolutely one of the best games ive played in the decade its just so good also really fun run big shield spear go full this is sparta
Yes. My plan is to run though with every weapon type and then move on to the sequel. I have quite a few to get through still with magic as well. And I will definitely keep that in mind. Sounds like a perfect time to finally pull out the shield.
Fun fact, "Kureimoa" -- or 「クレイモア」 if you speak anime -- is just a transliteration of "Claymore" into katakana (one of the Japanese alphabets). It's literally just a Claymore 😂 Another fun fact: not 100% sure if this is still the case, but greatscissors were the go-to in S&S speedrunning last I checked, as their damage output is indeed ludicrous. Anyway, great video! Certainly a _cut_ above. Fun to watch bosses get _folded._ _Scissor pun._
(Technically it could be written in either kana, or even kanji if you wanna be crazy about it, but katakana's what's used most often for transliterating words in other languages)
Hey, if you want to try great axes, you can go full gold because there's a very expensive but very powerful Axe from the House of Splendor you can buy.
2:08 I kinda think you got robbed with that failed dodge-roll. It really doesn't look like you timed it wrong. And 7:15 ideally if you're heavy, you're running a tower shield and don't need to dodge.
Hold up! Im confused about 2 things. 1, what do you mean about chef have 3 points to work with? 2, how do you Quick roll with so much gear? (Below 25%) Good and fun video as always
I think I was trying to say free points. Probably sounded like 3 so that's my bad. Chef as a class just doesn't start with any points allocated. While the knight, which does have a sword class one stat, also has heavy armor class 1 which I did not want to use. So chef let me avoid an unnecessary wasted point. As for quick roll, there are two things. Number 1 is light armor weights FAR less than heavy. Number 2 leveling into armor nodes increases your endurance as well. Then you can throw a point or two into endurance here and there to keep you fast rolling. Also Wrapped Link is a must for fast rolling. Honestly, it's just a top-notch ring on its own. Hopefully that helps!
Typically each side of the skill tree extends pretty far out. If a branch has lots of other nodes I don't need like stamina, endurance, or weapon class increases I stick to maxing the front nodes as much as possible. Basically if you use magic you want the entire stretched out branch. But if you use a magic weapon you only need the front nodes. Either way works really but that's how I decide.
Блин. Ютуб порекомендовал мне это видео, захотелось снова соли перепройти... Попробовать что-ли магию... Никогда не играл с магией. Были булавы, огромные молоты, мечи всех размеров, кнуты и кинжалы. Но не магия...

specifically dark magic
From the things I have heard you are correct. Seems to be the definitive easy mode for most people. Which I can agree with for sure lol

I would honestly be surprised if most people who played the game even figured out how to get the great scissors on the first playthrough.

Glad to have you. I already have several planned out with the firebomb one now added in of course lol.
I would like to thank Lemon for recommending me this channel 😅
Wow this was an absolute steamroll of a challenge poor bosses lost the rock paper scissors every single time
These are an instant watch for me whenever you post them, absolutely top tier content

Here from lemon from backlogs. Glad to see more salt and sanctuary vids. The great scissors is like the strongest weapon in the game.
Seems like it. From things other people have said most consider it to be the ultimate easy mode. Probably my choice as well honestly.
okay defs doing greatsword for my first playthrough this looks awsome! great video my dude!
Oh for first playthrough most definitely. Greatsword is easily the best!
@@SheenShots Gunna smash my waythru! love your videos dude your remnant 2 tier lists saved my life keep it up!
@@SheenShots you were so right man destroyed everything with the jaws of death it was wild!XD

Oh that's a fun one. Certain classes would be much easier than others while each would be very doable I think. Might give it a shot.
I’ve been sent by the great potato god. Love to see SnS challenge runs.
Yo, a Lemon sent me. Liking the video, great work.
70% of the playerbase probably exclusively used t1 gs into greatscissors so the vid title is a foregone conclusion lol
The first builds I made where a katana build and a Greatsword build. Both were insanely powerful.
Oh ya, swords are the best.
Alt title: “How to beat the game as Ryuko Matoi”
Awesome run. Do Shortswords next please.
Oh there is a really fun option for those!
I am here from Lemon, good video. New subscriber

For those that don’t know, Kureimoa is a transliteration of the Japanese word for claymore lol
Dishwasher Vampire Smile vibes with the GS

Yeah my first playthrough of Salt & Sanctuary I blazed the game with the greatsword you get by fusing the Sodden Knight's drop
My brother really liked that sword.
Great scissor goes chomp chomp. Hahah 😂

I loved your content, I don't think much about this game here on UA-cam. Can you make a video using only swords?
I play with a friend and they are improving their dexterity

Greathsword my beloved
This is my original playthrough. Got the Sodden knight sword and destroyed everything with it
Lemon sent me and I don't regret it at all
The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass approve of this video ✌️
Now it’s time for potatoes only
Greetings from lemon 😊 l like your videos already
Would you recommend for someone thats gonna start a range build for first run? Wanted to use a gun
I hear is pretty fun
Ya guns are great. Use that alongside a longsword and you will have a really good first playthrough.
Can i request rando run? Live the vids❤

Ah! Yes ofcourse, that makes sense. Thanks for the reply. Have a good weekend
snip snip snip~
This isn't even a challenge, this is just playing through the game.
Yes this is a fact.
Why do you level a single node multiple times instead of going down the tree? Is it more cost effective?

@@SheenShots Ah yeah that makes since. Thanks for clearing it up.
I beat this game on my first try with only a greatsword!
Nice, probably the best way to go. I think most use greatsword or magic from what I've heard.
Came here from the Backlogs
Im here from The Backlogs
Yo king Sheen, any chance of another Outward run sometime? UwU
It is in the works right now actually. Coming soon!
I have yet to beat this game, cause i keep getting lost

I do plan on doing a magic run here soon actually. Probably trying to use every spell at least once or something like that.
Lemon sent me.
Too bad you didn't pick the Tristin origin, aka, the Edward Scissorhands race, for this run.
Lemon sent me. I'm so happy to have found you
Greatsword is easy mode.
haha rock
This game is severely underrated which was unfortunately followed up by a trash "sequel"
like this comment if you mostly used greatswords in your salt and sanctuary runs
