His ability to recreate what he sees the other performers do including all the flaws is super impressive. That muscle control and muscle memory control is the Hallmark of a great athlete.
I absolutely love CD. He is such a genuine human being and his ability to convey ideas in pro wrestling is top notch. His humbleness makes it that much more endearing. I've had the privilege to work with him many times in the past and is a consummate professional.
I'm learning so much about the storytelling of wrestling in this one video. Daniels is a beast of a trainer. Once he does retire, WWE, ROH or New Japan should consider hiring him as a trainer or he could build his own school like 3D, Al Snow, Alex Wright or Seth Rollins.
Check out the Q & A with Daniels that follows this video in the documentary and playlist video!! There's also a Sinn Bodhi Training Seminar in there for your viewing pleasure, though it doesn't quite compare to this gem. I recommend checking out the Lessons from Stu Hart's Dungeon - A Guide to Wrestling video in the Hart Beat Radio podcast playlist. Bruce Hart won't steer you wrong!
Honestly, this me a bigger fan of Christopher Daniels. He’s through, patient and smooth. His style made things so comforting and easier for the students to bet better when they tried again so they felt more relaxed in their efforts. I learned a great deal watching this video alone. Thanks Chris.
21:25 the most important seats in an arena are the seats in the back row. If you don't project to them what you're trying to show them, those seats will stay empty. But if you show effort and grunt and mmmmph as you get your opponent in a headlock, those seats will sell
hahaha it's not so bad. The girl in the blue is obviously VERY new and I got the impression that the other girl was trying to be patient and helpful. As far as the "ego" - it's a false bravado and I don't think she realises that not everyone else is in on the joke.
As a fan, I just started respecting the basic wrestling part of matches much more. Of course the finish is the best part, but being able to build tension with smooth moves at the beginning is so important, and as we see here, really hard, and takes years to train. Also really a big fan of Christopher's way of teaching. Supportive, yet critical in a way you understand your faults and how to work on them.
I've just been watching a couple of the al snow videos and to me daniels is just alot more genuine with his teaching. Al snow seems more like a "know-it-all" and comes across more angry in general. With daniels it seems to be alot more fun.
YeahCoolMan I also noticed that about CD, very understanding and encouraging, whereas most of the old time trainers would take your money and beat the crap out of you
I love how clearly and extremely well Christpher Danials explains everything. He helps me understand what is happening in a match and why it's happening. He's right when he says that if you don't know or aren't completely sure you can do a move, you should tell the other person that you don't feel comfortable doing the move because you haven't ever done it before. Or just say I am not able to do that yet. I'll get killed if I do that. Or tell someone you',re not ready to do the move yet but if you do want to learn how to advance yourself to be able to do the move you are being asked to do, state that as well. 😎 Awesome training seminar! Why isn't Christopher Daniels teaching seminars at WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, FL? Why isn't he in WWE? I don't understand.
Was considered too small for years and is now probably considered too old. He might go down in history as the greatest indy wrestler who never had a contract in WWE.
@@RingOfFireProWrestling Christopher Daniels isn't "too small" or "too old" to be in WWE. Saying those things about him are disrespectful lies and aren't true. Same goes for Randy Orton giving into and going along with the absolute, 100% untrue, dishonest lies and incorrect assumptions and negative pressure from IWC smarks who prefer him to be ans remain as a heelish bad guy. He is 100% way, way better as a babyface good guy like he was in 2008 - 2012! I realize and know it's screwing up his life that he is behaving heelishly. IWC smarks want him to: * Stay and remain married to his 2nd wife Kim Kessler. * Be champion for the IWC smarks and pretend to be a babyface good guy who is siding with them and forcing as well as manipulating Randy Orton negatively. They want him to be and have to remain as being an objectionable, sadistic, cruel, manipulative, evil, bullying, insulting, antagonistic, hurtful, backstabbing, dishonest, wrongful, uncool, unattractive, ugly, loserish bad guy who jobs to other guys in WWE who don't deserve to "win",or be victorious against him. The more Randy Orton goes along with being a heelish bad guy in WWE like he is being forced to and him not divorcing his 2nd wife, Kim Kessler...the worse WWE gets and becomes. That SUCKS and I HATE it!!!! Then, there are IWC smarks who want Becky Lynch to receive more of a push. In the wrong way. Same is happening with Rhonda Rousey, Charlotte, Naiomi and other women in WWE. Same happens to guys in WWE. Those things, attitudes, mindsets, behaviors, negatively, offensively, objectionably, wickedly, disrespectfully, pathetically, 100% is equal to being an evildoingly totally vile, bad curse that SUCKS!!!!
You know guys wen I was a kid at Eugene fair grounds. It was a traditional for old people to take care of the wrestlers it was such a family event. Use to give them home made food cakes pies only good knows what else the game has changed so much. life was so different back then.
If you want to be a top guy then you need to create a top guy look, feel, persona, in ring work before you get noticed cause once your over doing comedy or midcard low card stuff and it gets over with the crowd then it will be hard for promoters to see you as anything different
You know, why the wrestling business has changed from toxic, jealous, brutal (and also drug and pill-abusing) grumpy men to the much more wholesome and creative environment we have today. Because of guys like CD, guys like Kenny Omega, guys like Colt Cabana, Kevin Steen or Bryan Danielson. Although the moves are more athletic and in a lot of ways more risky, the environment and the whole culture is much healthier and safer than it ever was. One of the best wrestlers of the last two decades, without a doubt one of the most influential.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I really like this generation of wrestlers who are not toxic and brutal and all that "tough mentality or your a pussy" mindset back in the day if that makes sense
Or if I'm not able to do a move...continue being disiplined, training and working at the physical moves I have difficulty with doing because I always have the opprotunity to become even better than I used to be or was before. Just make the time, make a plan, take action and do those things that I have always been lied to about myself. Compete with my own previous poor performance and no longer behave in those ways that continue to keep holding me down.
When the ladies got into the ring, don't take it easy on them. You warned them a few times that it was going to happen. Bumps or not, be the heel or be the face. Try not to over play unless your asked to. And when botches come into play, play them out like you meant to it and continue on with the show.. true heel style.
Christopher Daniels said if someone gets asked or told to do a move in a match that: * They have never, ever done before. * Don't know how to do correctly and safely. * Are or feel unsure or uncomfortable about in any way for any reason ..ALWAYS SAY OR TELL THAT and be honest. Ask if there is a safer way to do it and if there is, then go with that option. Play outward to the crowd and show what you feel and your attitude about what is happening. DO NOT ask your opponnent to do moves they're uncomfortable with, about doing, aren't sure of or about, or don't know how to correctly do. * Be a safe worker and competitor in matches. * DON'T ALLOW others to do things to you in matches or treat you in ways you don't want. * Make wise choices and decisions. * Be fair. * Be kind, understanding patient, considerate, caring and helpful. * BE DISIPLINED!!! * LEAD!!!
