Awesome. Great info video appreciate the information. Went and bought the 9 Watt. Appreciated guys. Im done with the canister filters and inline UV light. Always leaks and tons of work. From now on. NO EXTERNAL plumbing. UV light in tank!!!?? DONE.
I’ve been debating using canister filter for the inline UV clarifiers out there. There are very few standalone pump/clarifier combos out there. 😢 AA seems like a good brand but I wish the bulbs were cheaper.
Those are nice sterilizers. I would be looking at the clip on or the 3W as I have a 20 gallon Nano but correct me if I'm wrong... The flow rate is different to sterilize protozoa than it is algae and bacteria. So how would this unit do that? And how would one even know the flow rate? Just watched an episode of BRS TV where they explain that. It was actually completely ineffective at removing algae when it was at the protozoan speed setting. Do any one these models have a flow rate adjustment?
If you have a 50 gallon tank would the 9watt rated for 50 gallons be sufficient? Or like filters … always go the next size range up? How do the rules of UV clarifying apply here?
Interesting. 20+ years of reefing, I'm old School. Never tried one for Green water or for parasites or anything else. Maybe I should. In to win. 2 thumbs up...
They are one of the best "cheap" units out there. We have carried a few years and works well. We just like to make sure people understand it's for green water only, not going to do anything for parasites, but a nice alternative to using carbon to keep the water clear. So cheap, quick and easy.
I’ve been using the 24 watt for about 2 years now and it works great! Water crystal clear all the time! 👍👍
These work great for nano tanks, used one for mine when I had a major bacteria bloom. Cleared up my tank in a few days.
Bought one. My water is crystal clear now amazing!

I run 2 of the 24 watt Green Killing Machines on a over stocked African Cichlid tank and they keep my water beyond crystal clear. Love em!!!

Does it have to stand straight in the aquarium? Or can I put the machine size ways under water?
From what i've read, this product only works on clarifying the water but it doesn't sterilize it from disease since it's not a level 1 or 2 product.
Another awesome product. I love the fact that its submersible and that you can direct the flow if you dont.

Thanks for the video, I know it's an older one but I just ordered the mini GKM for my Evo 13.5.
I’ve seen these at Petco and I’ve been curious if these work. I wonder if it would help my algae problem

Can you attach a 24 w replacement bulb to the 9w power head?
Can you adjust the flow on the 9 watt?
Really nice product I love the fact that comes in various sizes
I run UV on all my QT systems. Would like to try out one of these units!
This is interesting, I'd like to try one out and see if there's any difference between running one of these or my Aqua UV
how did it go?
Worth a shot
Just installed the 24w right now.
Good video👍
It looks like it's built with very good quality! Love the video!
Love these videos! So informative and helpful to my reefing journey. Def want to try this!
Looks nice, I need to replace my big ol one. Thanks Jeff!
UV sterilizer is something every tank should have.
Can this kill Saltwater ICH?
I have seen them before at Petco and pet smart. Not sure how good they work might be ok IDK thanks for the great video 👍👍👍

I could use this! Got one aquarium that I constantly fight with green water.
Will these work for saltwater tanks?
Is 3 watts going to be enough?
Would the 3watt fit in an IM Nuvo 20?
Will it kill brown algae diatoms
These 3w gkm version are no where instock??
What happens if the bulb goes out ? How do you replace it ?
You buy a new bulb, of course.
@bguen1234 Actually, the bulb comes in the housing, and you replace the unit.
Nice way to incorporate a power-head with a UV
Love mine. It kicks ass. Carbon no more
This would be perfect for my biocube!
Great concept, i hope it works well.
I was debating on getting something like this for my nano.
Very interesting. My qt has been overtaken by Dino so I’d like to try something along these lines.
Did you end up getting one? And if so, did it help with the dinos?
I've been thinking about trying something like this
Nice, a UV for a nano!
I’ve been looking at getting one for a while
Interesting concept
I will give it a try!
Sounds good
without sump or canisters these things are needed
Nice review Jeff!
I need one of these bad
Probably need that.
Congratulations to "sybelen" for winning the AA Aquarium Internal UV Sterilizer Kit
Great!
never tried s uv sterilizer but would
Nice
I could use this UV
I need to get a uv sterilizer to help battle dinos
Cool design and great video as always!
looking for a UV
🤟
I don't like how you throw away that whole piece, too wasteful. Other than that, cool designs.
I want to win one!!!! 🤣
wish i had one to kill my dinos in old tank
Need it to kill dinos
