One of the epic tales of survival ever documented in the wild. Their harrowing story will captivate and enthrall all who dare watch this stunning video documentary of two pioneering spirits that, with pure strength and determination, overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and hardships until they mysteriously succumb to the forces of nature. A shocking and hauntingly well documented case that should be the benchmark of all survival tales.

The oddest thing, is the pick up arrangements; you cut off any means of immediate rescue by implying that not hearing for me means I'm staying an extra week. If even your intention is to stay and everything is fine, the lose of your phone means your in danger of dying should you get seriously injured and it gets infected; or if you attacked by a wolf, bear or even moose. Yes, Moose. Moose kill more people in Canada every year than bears and wolves combined. Seems like a lot of Bullshit.

Notice the shadow of the boom mike creeps in on the right side at about the 2 minute mark. In addition, the plane lands on a lake which is in the middle of a pine forest, and there isn't one single pine tree on the lake where these dudes are located. Northern Canada? I think not.

The human tendency is to express what the boys did wrong, what we might have been done differently, etc. Seasoned bushmen starved in remote country simply because of a succession of wrong decisions or mistakes. It has happens. These lads are dead! Thank you, adameater for posting this video. It is the stark realization of what can happen and a vivid reminder that it does.

these guys had the right idea but were too easily distracted. When the only option is survival and you have no supplies, unless you know you can make it you dont move. That is crazy!!!!!
They shlda had 3 big smokey fires going the whole time while building a boat soon as the radio got wet they shlda started on a (what if) boat while they still had a little food and energy. By day 6 they shlda been done with it and just sailed the coast with the tarp and paddled as less as possible an just docked in a more open spot to hunt and fished along the way.
But God bless them I hope they find them one day soon.

I hate to say it, but these guys were not equipped for this journey. If you're in a situation like this you should gather food and fully attempt that radio tower. Idk why they walked back after 6.4 km they should have taken minimal supplies just to make it. Also, why would your tarp and clothing be all camo pattern? If anything you want bright colors, precisely in a situation like this.

in the begining of the film as they are decending to the lake that they are landing on, you can see all the way across to the other shore line, max distance of maybe 3-5 miles but later on in the video (12:13) the camera shows the lake and the other shore line looks like it is 25 miles, in clear weather. clearly two different locations. Not only that but when they are landing did anyone else notice a beach on the right that was at least 25-30 feet from the water to the tree line? NO (1:16)

I have not finished watching it, but so far one can tell they are inexperienced, have made poor choices of equipment, & made a poor choice of camp site. I'm not exactly sure of what you mean by that, but what I am doing is trying to go back to basics as it pertains to skills of true survival, hence the digital age because we have stripped of using and knowing how to use/ trust our God natural given instincts to survive as God intended. I think that since the age of computers, we rely on them instead of learning basics and it's going to hurt us in the end but it will be too late. I'm from and older generation and I happen to like the way things use to be, however, I also know that the times have changed and we must change with them. Still, I would like to have some knowledge on how to live off the land, how to hunt and properly clean animals for human consumption, and to know the difference between poisonous plants, which ones are good for food as well as for medicinal purposes, and all other things that apply to basic survival. I believe that there will come a time when computers are going to imprison us and we will be at the mercy of the powers that be, because everything is on computers now and the powers that be have complete access to everything about us, as well as complete control and the ability to shut down everything from master computer(s) someplace, that controls all other computers. And to all of you who read this and want to send me nasty comments please don't even bother, this is just my opinion and it doesn't mean anything to nobody but me and whomever else agree with my opinion. Thank you guys in advance and have a wonderfully blessed day;0)

Did they not think to let anyone know of there goofy plans to camp in the middle of nowhere with vague arraignments of when they might be picked up? Sounds like their outdoor skills were lacking for such a remote trip. They could have tested their gear a little closer to home like in the backyard.

It's been suggested that I'm "educated." I'm not that educated. And, suggested that I'm "gullible." I've never been told before that I'm gullible. However. I suppose I could be and don't know it. It's also asserted that I'm " a man of years". If the assertion is based my picture, I was about 60, then. ( I used that picture in hopes of attracting some young lady. My wife said she very much doubled it would happen.) I'm crowding 80 now. And, in my short life-span, this ol' fart has experienced a number of incidences where people have been far too hasty, too cynical, too quick to condemn. Now if someone has tramped boreal bush country, paddled the shores of Northern lakes and rivers, and is familiar with life in and around bush country, it would surprise me to no end if they saw this incident as absolutely farcical. It's how death occurs in the bush. This and hundreds of other possible ways. As far as the shoreline is concerned, it is by no means beyond belief to come upon a sandy beach in predominately boreal country. Although if I went through every item to counter the argument that this video is fake I'd be here forever, and my one finger would wear out before I did. Actually, the reason I found it appropriate to reply to some comments is my being referred to as "a man of years". I thought the girls might find me "kinda pretty, eh?" (Dang it! It seems the wife is right again.) LOL

why would you stand still if someone was running at you with at stick and an unsheathed knife? ie wouldn't the camera be more jumpy instead of like it was mounted on a tripod?

You mean to tell me your camera battery lasted 6+ days so you could video yourself? This is a poor deception with too many questions not answered. Did they want to disappear? Why? If not, why didn't any other friends or family know about their 'trip'? Who found the video like you asked?

FAKE.. The lake they land on in the beginning of the film looks nothing like the lake in the rest of it (no sandy beaches and not nearly wide enough) and why would they tell the pilot they might have decided to stay an extra week if they only had food for one day, would it not make more sense to tell the pilot to come back in two days unless they call and tell him they wanted to stay longer... Also that bullshit at the very end Fucking Ridiculous

It's frightening how many people are accepting this story as fact or going on at length about the numerous indications that make this story obviously bogus. Thanks for posting an attempt at a 'things went wrong in the bush' video but some of us would say that the most camping these guys had ever done was the day they filmed this....first draft. It should be delivered as a fictitious survival scenario to receive a much warmer welcome. Maybe it's a plan to make me comment, if so it's perfect....

Tons of batteries...clothes never got dirty...never-ending video with a music track...cigarettes forever...AND.... In the beginning of the video they said they were there to do some fishing ---HA! .. they never fished for anything! How can you be on a fishing trip and you first resort to eating wild plants and tie a frog to a string and claim that your lives depend on some beef jerky as you sit next a massive lake that obviously is packed full of fat-ass fish? Finally... with all that filming...ummmm where is that so-called radio that you disassembled, dried out and put back together? Surely you wanted to film that for us, right Mr. Trump? FAKE NEWS..

ps: I said that because the whole deal about going onto the land is to do as our ancestor's did, and that's not done by using these modern contraption's like planes and power boats and fancy trailer's. You get out there live rough. And you dont need an expensive dome tent either. Nature provides everything you need! Free of charge!

The pilot might has well killed these two people with a gun. The guy never showed up. He just took them out there and left them. I can't imagine taking someone into the extreme wilderness and then never thinking about them again? As it said in the video, the pilot was never identified. This guy new what he did wrong. He must of heard about their deaths in the papers, yet he never came forward.

One way to confirm if they actually went up there, is to contact the bush plane company who flew them there. Only they would know if they flew out again!

    • @Fred-gv3kh
      @Fred-gv3kh Рік тому

The video claims they could not identify the pilot, if you watch carefully. Also there's no proof they flew with a "bush plane company"... they could have paid a private pilot to fly them out there. That said you'd think they could track them down, unless they refused to come forward for some reason. All in all this seems to be a fraud... after all, who could be that stupid??!! 😂
