Having seen a few street stock races now, I love that these scans show all the imperfections as most Street Stocks are just worn out after years of being driven
or driven into. i just watched Gavin's daytoner race.
Yeah its one thing they have never really done, going to make it look a lot better
@@kneebon5 at Hickory a few weeks back when I went, not a single Street Stock didn't look like it was hobbled together with glue and duct tape. Just made it more fun to see these 'shit boxes' running around and seeing whose was best 😂
When i went to the ARCA race at Daytona in 2008, you get up close to some of those cars, and it looks the same
New street stock bodies were much needed, will be really cool finally
Yeah I've always hated the camaro's
We got new street stocks before new ARCA bodies
Really they just need to put the Fusion, Mustang, SS, Camaro bodies on the current Arca car.
@@GloveBoxMotorsports Yeah they literally already have Gen 6 NASCAR bodies in the game
from the links for the images the track with the weird stand in the corner that has the red, white and blue curbing is Thruxton Circuit while the image from the drones seems to be of Cadwell Park which will essentially be the safety rating killer for the road series
I can confirm that is cadwell, I drive it often enough in assetto to know the layout by eyesight alone, also if they are adding thruxton as well that would be sick
12:06 - That's Thruxton. You can see the name in the URL.
12:19 - Cadwell Park. Again, the URL gave it away. And yes, that's the drone flight path pattern that you're seeing. I took a Master's degree course on drone photography and we did the exact same thing with the flight pattern while taking pictures before putting them together using a program. And the cool thing is you can overlay these pictures on a terrain model to get a 3D map.
Wish the 2nd option street stock coming to dirt in this update. Looks much more like the USRA/IMCA style bodies I think of when I think of stock cars on dirt.
Oswego looks awesome, as do the new street stock bodies. I will continue to hope one day we get a scan of Thunder Road!
I absolutely love Kneebons dry, snarky, no nonsense personality. Wish I could hear him more on some sorta podcast. It would hilarious & Kneebpn wldnt laugh not 1 time
That Monte Carlo might make me actually run some street stock races. New street stock bodies also gives me hope that there is a chance we get the old super late model body back.
Unreal Engine for the console. The post says they are building their own for iRacing.
“It’s important to understand that iRacing is a product built for sustainability. We’ll be racing together today, tomorrow, next year, and before you know it, into the 2030s. It is critical that our graphics engine is built for this journey, that we have the control we need to maintain and upgrade it, and that it integrates and operates seamlessly with the rest of our systems.
As part of our due diligence, we investigated some of the amazing third-party engines that are available. These engines can offer developers a head start where artwork can be piped into the engine and, on a surface level, appear to have a beautiful-looking ready-to-go result. These engines also offer impressive tooling and pipelines. However, given the requirements that I’ve shared, we did not feel that these engines were a fit for iRacing,
With that in mind, we are happy to share that we have selected a path that will ensure that the technology meets our specific requirements and goals: we will build the future graphics engine ourselves.”
Didnt get the the last line as i was skimming
First time hearing your voice in a while! And man now I really want to race some street stocks. Unfortunately, I have zero time and I’m anticipating starting a new job in a few weeks. Will see how my schedule shakes out and maybe I can get back. Really happy with those new SS bodies, looks so good.
Agree, the street stock Monte Carlo is sweet. That last pic looks like they are using a LiDAR Scanner to get the 3D ground maybe….
That monte is 🔥 a nova would of tickled my fancy more because my family used to race one but what we are getting in the future is awesome!!! Hopefully we'll be getting mini stocks soon if they decided to ad updated street stocks.
Awesome video, I heard it here first. Thank you for all that you bring to our community mate😊👍
I'm glad Dirt Road is getting SOME attention seeing as we haven't had any Dirt Road content in over three years.
But we all know that the most this is gonna achieve is one or two new iRX layouts while Pro Trucks get hung out to dry again.
Wish RX was more popular :( It's one of my favs and can't ever do it because there's only ever 2-3 people registered.
@@D1scard3d At least you get people. The offroad trucks are desolate wastelands with no content or updates to help out participation in any way.
Can’t wait for cadwell park, crazy small tight circuit with a section called the mountain where cars and bikes get airborne.
Love the giant foam barriers.
Finally!! A street stock that looks like a street stock!!!!
Dude my heart stopped when i saw that oval track it looks so so so similar to my local track western speedway it got tore down a few years ago now i cant wait to hop back on
The new street stocks will get me back into them!
Seems like we get 1 new short track for every 5 or 6 random club/road courses. More short tracks please! Street stock is a small update that will make a huge improvement in my opinion, will really add to the imersion and yes I agree I was about to suggest a street stock season the other day. With the community you have we could really have some incredible races.
They really need to get the current ARCA cars in like yesterday… Paved Oval side is constantly neglected it seems.
And when I saw mini-stocks I thought Hornet class cars. Atleast that’s what we call “mini-stocks” in the Southeast
Yeah thats the biggest issue with these short track cars, every region is different and so people think they are getting one thing, and it turns out to be something else.
Awes-we-go is how to pronounce it. I am pumped to drive it! Vacation near here in Pulaski!
OSS WEE GO. I grew up reasonably close to there😊
You will have to tell me a few more times once it comes out. Always been Ah-sweg-oh in my head
@@kneebon5 lol if you grow up in Upstate NY you get used to people pronouncing everything wrong. Look at the names of the finger lakes some time!
Thanks Dale JR
I’m diggin that Monte Carlo street stock, the ford looking one reminds me of something out of a gta, Frankenstein looking.
I live in upstate NY and I'm excited for Oswego Speedway!!!!
I’m excited to race the Montecarlo in the Street stocks. I’m also excited about the mini stocks. Maybe it will be the Pinto, the mustang, the Chevette lol
LMAO we were literally just taking about this
Navarra (free), probably 3 layouts. Rain tires on GT4 and LMP3, Mx5 and 992 cup.
The standing start warm up lap could be an option in league racing. Why not do that?
I just wish the new in game UI will offer something like racelab does.
I think i understood that they build a game engine themselves?
Really excited for that Mars Rover😂
Cant wait for the Monte Carlo, not sure what the other new nose is supposed to represent kinda looks like an MD3 kit but the body isnt the right shape so idk. Either way im excited
Well we are getting some 4 cylinders but is it fwd (Honda /cavy/Acura) or rwd (mustang/Toyota/ pinto) or mini trucks
Thruxton my local! It's a fast and fun track 🔥
very excited for oswego and the new street stocks, hope getting oswego means we get super modifieds down the line. would probably die very quickly unfortunately, actually have to drive them
and i was thinking about the three different street stock options when i was at work, it would be nice if in your first race of the season if youre doing an official race they made you pick one body style to run throughout the season, in the event that the three different cars are actually different
All the same like every other oval car with different makes
looking forward to the new street stock bodies and oswego
Hopefully they address the problem with the sprint cars
I heard a few months ago they scanned the new gt3 Corvette and mustang. Then in the rain update they took the ford gt and Corvette out of the IMSA class. When that happened I thought for sure we'll get them, especially since the Corvette was only a couple years old. Then no update here. Have you heard anything?
"Season 3 will see the addition of TWO new American-based GT3 racecars to the fleet"
@@kneebon5 you the man! Thanks

I don't usually drive Street Stock, and never buy anything that's purely aesthetic, but I plan to grab these new cars.
The 3 English tracks? I'm hoping for Cadwell Park, Mallory Park, and Goodwood. (Or Rockingham in place of Goodwood.)
Im super hyped i can finally drive gt3 with mcqueen ford im so happy!
Ever go through phases where it’s like your really into it and want to race and then sometimes you just do t feel it when you have time to get on
End of every season, dont feel like racing anything
Please please have small dirt tires for the new street stocks.
Monte Carlo and looks to be a Thunderchicken
Yeah, just give us a new class with IMCA tires, rather than those giant stupid things on the current one.
So I guess in the street stocks you have the Camaro, the Monty Carlos, and whatever is that blue one is that cool watch those three cars on the same track and racing against each other. It would be cool to see if Iracing adds Salem that track looks like it races like Darlington but as a short track
looks a bit like a thunderbird
@@kneebon5yeah I wonder if Iracing will ever add Salem I don't know much about that track but the racing looks fun to watch
I am sure they will, but I think a lot of focus on ovals over the next year is going to be refreshes of the current nascar tracks.
Yeah that's true I'm excited to see how is the new nascar game gonna be especially because it's made by Iracing and monster games I believe is happening a little bit but I'm just hoping it will be available on PC but so far nothing about that hopefully but I'm just gonna have to wait see I do have a gaming laptop and a PS4 but that's it
Steam logo was on initial announcement images
Clutch variability... if we have clutch wear I might have to stop using the clutch as a brake when fuel saving >.>
I think they mean just different bite points each time you get in the car, but i was only quickly scanning.
How about an all season Sonoma. Also rain for the gt4/lmp3 is gonna be fun. And street stocks for League sound like fun idea.
With Oswego Speedway, I wonder if the Super Modifieds are on the horizon?
Doubtful
A fee will have to get paid to iRacing for them to come by to scan them. Oswego posted about working with iRacing to get a Super Modified car scanned, but again, someone has to pay for the production.
I wish Iracing would throw down a limited modified too. Much simpler suspension than the ump.
I’m hoping with this street stock update it’s another step towards Arca getting a modern makeover, and in all honesty, I hope they keep the original Arca car there as choice, however, they should make the gen 6 like Gen 4. ONCE (unless I dreamed this) I believe I watched one of your videos saying Gen 4 is getting an 07? Makeover, anyways my point hopefully one of the Gen 6s 2013-17 vs 2018 up will be selectable for Arca. 2020 Arca was running Gen 4 and Gen 6 bodies at least. I’m not for certain the tweaks could be that easy but we clearly see street stocks no longer have the same body, 87s don’t, (argument is the back glass panel) however idk the aero differences between those other cars vs gen 4 and 6 but nascar did it why can’t a computer application do it? Someone said it would be confusing, not really, you just click on the tab and see which cars you have/available to purchase for that specific series. GT3 and what not has minimum 5 3 different manufacturers with different bodies however I imagine the aero was made on an even playing field. I could be mistaken myself for the person talking about “confusion” when I had a thought about what if Iracing added an open race for Arca in C class (could be D I could care less what class) it would just be nice to have a nice long Arca race that matters and doesn’t cost money to do on your own yk. Maybe it’s just me, but a whole race shouldn’t be determined off of 30 laps and how you treat your tires, he’s amazing skill to obtain but there’s a lot more to racing these cars then just saving tires. I mean yes that part would play an even larger roll with more laps, however now we got a pit cycle, we’re introducing ourselves to cautions, learning how to brake and slow down for wrecks instead of shooting through it praying that’s your moment to gain 5 positions so you can ultra tire save to the end and blow there doors off at the end. Yes good stuff, however you then go to the truck series and in my opinion it’s different racing, handling, community. A lot of what you learn from Arca to trucks is almost useless. Besides the non stop wrecking. But it might help seperate the degenerates going into wreck vs the ones who want to race, more laps means more. Idk maybe I’m wrong.
TBH behind AI my fav update
The thing that annoys me about street stocks these days is all the fastest street stocks have moved away from those classic-looking bodies and essentially look just like late models, at least around my local tracks.
Yeah watched some east coast stuff on flo and it looked really stupid with late model bodies on some
Our local dirt tracks and paved tracks still use the older body styles. IMCA does too
I'm glad we aren't doing formation laps for standing starts.
Thank God. The dirt version of the street stock looks cool but the asphalt version is not my favorite.
FWIW, they can develop their own tools for Unreal engine if that's the direction they decide to go (and in some ways could be easier. but I don't know what their back end code looks like...I'm sure its lovely) but that's probably a few years away. it's not really worth the swap until hardware can utilize the Unreal 5 systems to their full potential.
Street Stocks definitely might keep me around....No Winchester?
Has vanished like anderson
How do i purchase these?
10:56 - Formula E?
Navarra will be free for everyone, so another free road track.
They still can’t figure out dirt and how ya don’t start on a dead slick track give us a cushion again!!
