im from brazil and i don’t know how i found your channel but it’s truly the best thing to my art learning routine, thanks, it’s been two months with u and it changed everything for me👍🏽🤝🏽
To me your videos are treasure. Once you have mentioned about creating your art with AI. I have never thought you would share how you'd use it. I would never think about asking you to share this knowledge in a million year, cause I would not dream that you consider it. I feel so lucky that I am soo wrong about this! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! ❤
Oh definitely. I’m so happy you enjoy it. I really think it’s part of tattooing future. Just like learning the iPad and applications. We need all the new tools. I’m happy to share whatever I can
Really appreciate this video and the info! Lol, it's crazy how different you are as a person from the tik tok persona. It's super dope to see how caring, helpful, and passionate about teaching you are. I'm definitely excited to see more! Easiest sub for me.
you are absolute legend John, amazing tattoo artist and every video when you explaining stuff it's treasure. thank you so much for all the tips. Keep it up
I am only half way through this and it is already one of the most useful tools instructional I have ever seen. The wealth of knowledge you just dumped on the wold to use and soar with my dude- ledgendary. Thank you so much for this
I love your content. AI has been good to me and this will help immensely. Thank you, also do you give seminars? Not just for AI but other techniques or any classes? Thank you so much for your videos.
Appreciate all your videos, definitely opens my mind to the artform of tattooing and how technology is helpful. Ijust started using procreate for stecil work. Would love to see more on using AI apps and transfering pics to stencils with procreate. Apologies if your videos are out there
GM.. Bro. on what platform do you use procreate..? I've heard of it and been trying to find to DL . On my ANDROID TABLET TCD... # GOOGLE PLAY APP. ... OR WERE MAY I FIND IT...?? THANK U...
It was cool. I would like to see another video where you would create blackwork style tatts. Something like the castle you did on the hand in the other vid on your channel.
Definitely. Huge help with this is to find a reference in the style of a pen drawing. Or use that discription in prompt. Eg. “In style of a pen drawing”
Bro i love your content. What's laughable to me is how so many "artists" are copying your content style. My feed is peppered in what ive started dubbing "nelson sequels"
I would really like to see a video of how you convert realism pictures into a stencil for yourself. It is quite interesting to see the different ways that other artists stencil a realism piece.
great explanation, your obviously very intelligent and methodical in your approach. On social you come off as an annoyed by the steps to tattooing but i can see you spend a great time in many fields to approach a design.
I'd totally be down with seeing a more indepth version of this. Have you ever had an idea for an image in your mind but not been able to find a reference on Google or Pinterest? If so, how would you go about getting chat gpt and midjourney to create something that resembles the image in your mind?
*Grumble* OK using AI to describe AI is just brilliant. I hate not being able to go back to a reference image I like in Midjouney! Thanks for showing your process!!😊
Very interesting to see how you work and think. I do wonder tho, why not draw something yourself from scratch? And can you maybe show an example how you go from reference to AI to new art to tattoo. Cool videos!
@@ModelCitizenTattoo I get the time aspect. Would be great to see more of the overal process. I'm no tattoo-artist, but any creative process can be applied to this kind of thinking. Thanks!
hey! first of all : I F.....G LOVE YOUR WORK ! second of all i would like to see the whole process from making a picture with AI and than transforming it in the final stencil, i am courious how you do all that , thanks and keep it up ;)
@@ModelCitizenTattoo i would really be looking forward to it!! I was wondering for a long time how some Instagram sites like "hardArt" create their AI images. I will start palying around now for hours i guess, but what u just did there opens a complete new world to me since i have so many clients who bring a picture " i want this". This will make it so much easier to recreate unique pictures.
Hey John, if a client shows you an image of another tattoo they like as a reference, would you use that image raw for GPT? Just curious as to how I can best let my future artists know what I like.
I always find my own references. You can sit with the client and try to show them ones you like to get a good base. However you could just upload the clients reference if you wanted
These days I'm using AI to create models too, but I think Flux1.1 gives one idea better results than Midjourney. I see some issues with Midjourney that later have to be fixed with Krita- kind of missing/extra fingers, bad light direction and sometimes wrong body proportions. These anomalies in Flux are present too, but less.
I would have to agree with you on this one. There are many out there and all have positives and negatives. Definitely have to find the one that works for you.
What do you do after you fond the image you like? Is there a way to reduce it to just the outline in some software or do you have to trace everything? That would be a cool video to see what you do with it
I make all my stencils by hand so I can become really familiar with the piece. Their are applications out there that will make a stencil for you though

Thanks for video ..Thumb UP

Yes just reverse engineer the image through AI. You can even do this with your own tattoos and designs. Then teach the AI to draw like you 🤯
Sick af
Very interesting to see how you work and think. I do wonder tho, why not draw something yourself from scratch? And can you maybe show an example how you go from reference to AI to new art to tattoo. Cool videos!
Yes I can create a longer video with the entire process. Sometimes I will draw from scratch. AI really helps get a good base and saves a lot of time.
