George, New trick and I like it!!!! I have tried something similar in the past but it was just a process of guessing. This 3 D style is much more controled if you just work in the basics. I could see where you could use this for about any effect such as a shadow on a person or tree, home or auto. The big difference would be what kind of serface the background would lay on. Flat surface would be the easiest where it could get as complicated as needing a displacement map if the surface were more rugged or imperfect. Good basis to work from, thanks again for all you do! Rich
Thank you George for the tips. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021. As a photographer I like to place my name on all photos. What I wish to do is type out my name but want a full rectangular filled in box behind my name - not a shape to match letters but solid rectangle. Thanks!!
You're welcome Brian, on the shape, just use the shape tool, grab a rectangular shape, make it large enough to cover your letters and put it on the layer beneath your name.
Hi Gramps, this video is shown in Photoshop Elements which comes with loads of included graphics and clipart. Unfortunately Adobe Photoshop doesn't have that. I found a similar brushed metal picture at my favorite free photo site pixabay.com/illustrations/metal-plate-texture-background-2069115/
Hi George, if I purchase your PSE online course, how long will it be available to me? And would I be able to download the lessons if needed? Thanks again for all of your wonderful PSE videos, I am learning a lot!
