So, I've got this vest that I have tried to make 3 times now, and each time I get the left and right panels to the point of joining, the left is 1 or two rows SHORTER than the right. No idea how. So now I'm going to try it again TAAT. This would be my 1st time trying this method. OH! And did I mention that it is in Herringbone stitch?! Cuz I have to make things that much more difficult for myself. Always.
When you are knitting from the bottom up, it is common for one side of a sweater or vest to have one more row than the other when you get to the arm hole. I think this is a matter of convenience because to get them to match perfectly, the patterns for the left and right side would be different. It's the knitted cast on. One I use a lot. Knitting 2 at a time isn't rocket science, but some people have never thought about knitting that way and it has a lot of advantages. :)

@knitalongclub but it is a top down vest, not bottom up. Are you saying it's going to be like that even if I do them both at the same time?
@@joanarnold82 I suspect so, but without intimate knowledge of the pattern, I can't be sure. Try knitting them TAAT and see what happens. :)
Excellent video! Thank you 🧶

Wow! I have never seen such a cast on. But a tutorial how to knit 2 at a time? Is anyone that slow to need a tutorial about that?????
