Turkey is beautiful country. There is everything.Nature,History,Culture,Romantism...sun,sea,beach,spring,climbing,snow,ski...An interesting mosaic and a true travel and vacation country. also, If you like nature and natural life;I would recommend an eastern black sea tour in Turkey.
As a mother of kids your age--getting wet, sitting in wet clothes...great ways to get sick..again! Loved the preach-iness! I encourage all of my kids to not get trapped in the stuff, money, big house trap. Only one of them has taken my advice and as soon as she's out of PT school, her plan is to travel--maybe she'll invite her Mom??? But probably not--I'm not romantic enough for her (ha)...Following your vlog has given me lots of inspiration to jump. I'm giving my business one more year to become more established (profitable)--then I'm traveling! But I'm planning to travel anyway--profitable business or not! Looking forward to Cappadocia!
Thanks Moooooom. 😂 But yes, the 'things' that hold us back are so enticing. They provide an illusion of security and happiness, but we're essentially mortgaging our time to be in debt for things we can hardly enjoy. There is, of course, much to be said for having a viable financial plan, and I am personally not one to recommend a travel lifestyle forever. But for a time, it is incredible to experience the world beyond your comfort zone. 👊 /J
my family from both sides are from Cappadocia, going back 3000 years as an Armenian I am pleased to you visiting those places, including Armenian Highlands ( Trabzon, Ordu,Rize,Artvin) on the north eastern Turkey, I climbed up the Kackar mountain in 1994 8 hour walk. I am originally from Istanbul, and I fell in love with North East. 80 year old woman carrying wood on their backs for hours up hill , tasting anzer honey which in Armenian (Antzer) means, "anti aging". Nature and its people that makes those places unique, so as humanity we should go back to worship Nature like 2000 years ago instead of being vegan or worship gods, this will solve all problems we have in the world today. Guys keep up the good work I will be following you forever.
Josh you are so right about debt and travel. In addition living a minimalist lifestyle also helps. Each year I notice I am traveling more. Although t it has been a few year since I played I love backgammon. Congrats on the one year:)
I have a feeling, your channel is going to grow A LOT!!! you guys are actually FUN to watch & don't make documentary type videos, also Josh and Ashley together as a team is just FIRE!!!💕🙌#TEAMASHLEY🙈
I actually like getting older! Except for all the tight muscles and the growing fear I have of falling over... the ground feels a lot farther away than it used to. :p /J
Hello, I discovered your blog a little bit late but I really loved it.I hope your journey was pleasant :) I wanna say few things about Istanbul. :) I know it's too late but if you wanna come back again you should cross the Bosphorus with the ferry it is amazing, also you can use the subway to go airport in European side. It is cheaper and faster than the buses. And of course coke! :D
So glad you found us. We have many adventures to come and I hope to see more of Turkey someday. Its such a cool place and the people are amazing. Thank you for watching and for your suggestions. So kind and really appreciate it. -Ash
I'm working out a lot of kinks to be able to go study film in Stuttgart, Germany and if all goes to plan will be taking off in June or just to do a few months of traveling before settling in for school. you guys have been a huge inspiration for me and for a lot of people. thanks for continuing to share your adventure with all of us!
WΔY ΔWΔY honestly this is all still very early, but I would love to see Japan and work my way west from there. south Korea, Nepal, and Thailand all seem beautiful to visit in Asia. I've never been to Europe either so will be trying to visit a couple of countries there before I settle in germany. I have been studying hard for this German exam that will determine if my language skills are proficient enough to study in germany. wish me luck!
I really did enjoy the whole Turkey visit. I must say that really glad y'all enjoyed the delicious food and the cool places. Keep it up guys. Miss the food tho.
As a turkish,I really enjoyed your videos and actually I didnt travel in Turkey much as you guys :D It was really fun to see you guys travel around. And If you come again dont forget to travel in "Karadeniz Area". It is pretty rainy but there is lots of places to travel and see interesting things and people. Keep it up!
You came to my city I lived in and I just saw :) Firstly, your flight from İstanbul to Kayseri. I mean, I live in Kayseri. It is wonderful that you come near. :) Cappadocia is totally beautiful and historic city. In there, You can find from patterns of the old culture. Maybe someday we will be able to meet somewhere. Is not the world too small? :) Nice to follow you. Greetings from Turkey!..
+Yusuf Arslan We loved our time there. What a lucky guy to live in such a unique place. We are so glad we got to experience what its like ourselves and share it through videos. It would be great to one day make it back:) -Ash
Total Coke person here. And I sure wish I knew how to play backgammon! I keep meaning to ask: how are your Tom Bihn bags working for you? Also, it's beyond impressive that you answer every comment! That's wicked cool and it's great to see your channel growing - well deserved and Happy UA-cam Anniversary!
My grandparents on my dad's side were Pepsi people, they always had diet, maybe that's where I learned to hate it. haha. And backgammon is actually pretty simple! I would definitely recommend it if you want a little friendly competition without having to learn an overly complex game. It's one of those games that LOOKS confusing, but is actually quite simple to play. Thanks! It's definitely getting harder already now that we're around 3k subscribers, but we still try! /J
emf1111 I'm live in Turkey Istanbul since 1997 and ıt's not danger. Your media want to Istanbul seem to like Middle East Country. And Turkısh people are really harborous and understanding more than Europan citizens.
Hey thumbs up for one year!! And I came on board, when I believe sometime in May? So between then and last November, yeah seems like I've missed some, but have seen a few :) The last time I drank any soda, well it's probably at least 10 years now. But when I did I mostly leaned toward Coke. Never played backgammon. I know you're shocked lol. Even checkers I've played only once or twice .
+Scott A I actually don't drink so much at all either, but every once in a while it's nice to have something crisp and sweet... but then you are surprised by Pepsi when you ordered "Coke" and they said "Yeah, we have Coke". No you don't, you have a soda called Pepsi, maybe it's a cola, but it's not Coke!!!! Haha. It's funny how something so little can get ya riled up... but I still drank it. :p Ashley and I are games people (she more than I though). I thought backgammon was super fun for a competition without being overly complicated to learn. /J
When you are in turkey next time I like to both you be my quest I do live in marmaris beautiful sea side and good luck for your Chanel you deserve more subscribers keep doing more video
And also, Turkey was one of our most favorite trips ever. These videos are definitely inspiring us to get back out and travel. Less than a week until I'm back on a plane. I'm getting antsy! -Brian
+Hi Hi, HI! Thanks for the sub, hope to see you in the comments more! We use a *drumroll please* 8 year old camera! It's called the Panasonic GH2. I've hacked it and pretty much maxed out the quality that it can provide so we're looking at the newest model (GH5) but money is tight ATM so we may have to wait. /J
Backgammon looks like a confusing game haha. And loved the preachiness Josh, I'm currently trying to convince my boyfriend that we should do something similar and it's nice to hear that anyone can do it if they put their mind to it!
+Megan Falle thanks Megan! We usually don't get preachy... but that's me holding back my true nature. I love to teach and share. Speaking of teaching and sharing, backgammon LOOKS confusing but we picked it up after one game. I think it's great for couples because it's a little more strategic than checkers and less complicated than chess. But I have yet to see a set that travels well :/ /J
if you are still around here you must see Pamukkale (Cotton Castles) in Denizli city and ancient rome city ephesus in İzmir /Selcuk and of course there is the house of the virgin Mary exist in near ephesus is a holy place declared by Pope it is a pilgrimage place for christians( ı think pope visited Mother mary house too ) pamukkale and izmir close to each other you can see in a day to both places.
ı have to inform you that cottoncastles actually are travertines and they don't allow to walk on travertines with shoes or flippers for protect the travertines so you have to walk with bare foot on travertines and weather is cold. But after you reached to the top you can wear your shoes it is approximately 60-70 meter to the top also you can put your feet in hot water flows in travertines while trying to reach to the top.
I actually do not drink soda (maybe once every six months), but I used to drink it all the time, and I was absolutely a Coke man (still am whenever I do drink soda). I used to play backgammon with my family quite a bit while growing up but have not played it in so long that I would actually need to be reminded of the rules - lol. Josh, as far as your back goes, would it help to work lying on a bed while on your stomach? I actually do that quite often, both at home and in hotels. Heck, sometimes, I lie on my back on a bed and have my laptop on my chest (with a book underneath it). Maybe what I'm doing is a bad idea, but it does not seem to have caused any back issues for me.
+Matt M. I'm not a huge soda drinker either. In fact, I swore it off for several years. But now I'm a bit more lax and will have it occasionally. But Pepsi is NOT Coke. Haha, thats what gets me up in arms. It's certainly a bit more complex than checkers, but I like that it's relatively simple to learn. We picked it up in about a game and a half. Really enjoy it now. I alternate between sitting up and lying down but it's all uncomfortable after a while. :p We're just not meant to be sitting for hours on end. I used to be one of those guys with a yoga ball chair. Still my favorite desk chair to this day. /J

Thanks so much for the suggestion +Vural Eroğlu We for sure have a list going of all the places we need to visit next time.:) It just keeps growing. -Ash
I actually drank almost no soda for many years, but occasionally you just want a crisp sweet flavor. But yes, it's actually quite nasty for your system. /J
