is the white wire for reverse light to work ? i have a ram with the 4 pin connector on receiver and a plug in inside the box not a 7 pin. now i have the 4 pin wire provided from marlon into the trailer receiver. for the white wire do i have to tap into the reverse light ?
No it doesn’t! There are 2 U-bolts that are highly recommended when you run the extension. If you don’t….even with the sled/sleds weight……..it will bounce and chatter over frost heaves and bumps. Also you have to disconnect and reconnect the light bar every time you fold it up or down. Marlon could definitely design this part a lot better.
I do not bolt mine as my sled weight keeps it down and it is one of the roughest roads ever, you do have to disconnect the light wires from the extension back to the deck for the rear lights to work. about 5-10 min, There are 2 ubolts that add another 10-15 min and you can use just 1 so the extension does not bouce without a sled, but without a sled I keep mine down on the highways no issues.
Those decks are far from waterproof…… even with the seal kit. Water comes pouring down through the top sheeting. If you want your stuff to be dry, you better put it in those big Tupperware’s like good ol’ Dave did.
This would depend on the height you set your feet at, as mine is totally water tight. But I would not put an open sleeping bag in there...bins for the win.

call Marlon!
Does the extension fold right back up without unbolting anything?

@@DaveNorona you mean you’re telling me that you don’t get any water coming through the extruded Deck? Maybe mine was just poorly built last year.
