In last example... 1 is the prefix to 110 and 11 is prefix to 111... Can someone explain why it is considered as prefix free

But you don't hai 1 as code for any symbol codes for symbols are 0 10 110 111 . you have to see the full code of 1 symbol should not the strt or other symbols not only 1 bit of any symbol. Hope it will be clear now

A code is a prefix code if you can draw a binary tree that represents it. In your example, it is not clear how this tree is constructed. It is just shown .
