One of the singers of this drum passed away and him and his wife appreciated this song being sung in the honor of their family. I told him I was nervous and he said, "Just close your eyes and sing hard! Sing for the elders because that's what this song was made for. To honor our elders." =)

Love her voice singing with a drum group who's singing southern style. This is how a backup female singer should sound 👍 👌 🩷
You can tell in the first half song, she was nervous. (Plugging one ear to hear herself, I’m guessing to make sure she was in tune.) in the second half of the song, you see her slowly but surely grow more confidence. Then she finally lets go of her nerves and sings straight from her soul. She sounds absolutely beautiful.

I was at this powwow, back in 2006 I think, I wasn't there for this song, I seen Gabrielle sing, and I was there when she won the Miss Black Hills Powwow 2004, I shook her hand, and congratulated her, she was engaged at the time, a beautiful lady.
