New Driver Full Mock Test | 2024 UK Driving Test
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 сер 2024
- The UK Driving Test makes sure a driver has a minimum standard of safety before they are allowed to drive on their own. Once the test has been passed, a driver will continue learning with their experiences and their driving will change. But would they still be able to pass the Driving Test again if they had to? In this video, we will find out, as Emma has kindly agreed to drive a full test route for us. She passed her test about 6 months ago, so is used to the new test format - but has not had any extra training to help her prepare for today. We will identify any faults we see, and also monitor the total number of faults so you can see how Emma is doing.

The pen clicking would make me nervous! As you know it’s a fault! Could be good or bad!
Advance Driving School how about driving 35-37 at speed limit of 40? Is that a fault as well? And turning nearside instead of offside in a junction is that a serious fault?
@@MM-cq5bl Don't regard the speed limit as a target, we should drive at a safe speed for the conditions - so driving at 35 in a 40 is no problem. By the way, the examiner will use the car's speedometer for the purposes of the test, so ignore the GPS speed that the camera shows - as the driver wouldn't see it either at the time. Where is the junction fault you mentioned?
Sethy
Today I passed my test in 1 go. Guys please check your blind spot. Please mirror mirror signal. Keep distance between front vehicle. Obey all the speed limits. Don't be nervous and think you're all alone driving by yourself. Think you going to meet your love ones. Think ahead, stay alert. All the best and god bless you all.
Well done - and thanks for the tips!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Thanks . Got mine next week
I like your comments
Congratulations
I just passed last week 14 dec (auto trans) few tips for those having their practical.
:OBSERVATION WHEN MOVING OFF, EXAGGERATE IF PPOSSIBLE LOOKING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT.
- Interior mirror first then left/right mirror before signalling.
-Interior mirror when changing speed.
-Interior mirror, left and right when moving off from traffic light.
-Always be aware of road markings.
-Glance at your speedometer once in a while making sure you are on the correct spee limit.
-when ask to park on the opposite side of the road. Check all mirrors.
-when already park on the opposite side of the road, the examiner might ask you to reverse back 2 cars space, make sure you look behind.360 degree visual check.
Hope this helps,
edcruz01 Thank you.Congrats on your pass
edcruz01 than you for your tips are very important for as new learners.
very helpful thanks
Congrats my 3rd test is on Wednesday will let u know how it went i don't think I will pass though but I'm gonna give it my best shot
@@s.p1512 my first test on Wednesday
After i got my license and drove alone for around 3 hours i felt like i learned so much more than i ever did in driving school because i could just chill and listen to music and even if i did a mistake it didn't matter because there was no driving instructor giving negative feedback or just getting on my nerves :D
Lol say it again
You are so right , i am getting ready for my test but some of the instructors i came around insults you so badly and say bad words which makes you so depressed and de-motivated that you want to stop learning !! They get on your nerves and pass negativity so much that it can make you jump out of the car . I believe this attitude won't help the students as it seems they are only doing it for money not careing that they are teachers and being rude with their students won't help in any way .!!! In my case instructor confused me by changing the same rule twice and blamed on me not following it when i wrote it in my diary after every single lesson ! The mistakes i did and the rules he introduced during every lesson!! Such a pain taking lessons if you don't get a good instructor .....😔😐
It would have been more entertaining if the examiner put down the pad and said "I'm going to revoke your license now as you no longer drive at the standard required by law"
Anurania April fools lmao
It would be entertaining to have seen that but only the courts can take a drivers license.
Passed my test today, first attempt and with zero faults. This video really helped me become aware of so many little issues that would have caused me to either fail or rack up a list of minors. Thank you for all your hard work with this channel. It really helped.
Excellent - well done! 🚗👌🏼😄
They make it so hard and so sufficating it's like your getting your pilot licence it's just so extra there is seriously no need for this
There is a need, they are basically trying to prevent deaths. Compare death rates in your country.
pitchfork 😂
There is need. More people have died/injured in road accidents than in plane accidents
I agree and disagree at the same time. This video clearly makes the point. Drivers still doing many faults after they passed the test. Do we need that much highly nervous mok tests? I don’t think so... the best solution here is experience. I would rather suggest making minimum of 100 hours of driving for each learner and having guaranteed license after reached those hours. Rather then having 40 hours of driving and booking your test and making luck to pass or not.
Whatever ya all say they will still repeat some mistakes even after passing the driving test so i think its so extra and suffocating i mean hell she knows how to check mirrors and stuff decent driver she is so whats the problem
I just love the sound of the indicator😂😂😂
Ah ikr
😂 LMFAO you a damn fool ahahahh
It caused arguments at my house, lol
"What's the irritating sound"
Alice Hayes 🤣🤣
My first reaction huuuh😭 so loud is there any UA-cam tutorial videos to show you how to get rid of that sound
Part of the reason I passed my test is because of your videos. Thank you for your time and effort you putting in makng these videos. Keep up the good work. Peace.
Mirror check when you're taking the second exit in a roundabout is silly while you're trying to turn the car in a curve. It causes distraction and you might hit the curb or a car that might hit the break in front. Over checking mirror is an absolute distraction.
If we need to change lanes before exiting the roundabout, then we must check if there is another car beside us. There is plenty of time to check our left Mirror before Signalling to commit to the Manoeuvre - as per the MSM routine.
Exactly my thought and thank God somebody said this for the first time👍
Mirror check can be very distracting at that point and in my opinion he could even lead to accident
totally agree with this! i find it ridiculous you should be more aware of whats infront of you not behind you its crazy half of this shizer
@@ryancameron4327 You obviously haven't met the Audi driver. xD There's always one who will try to take you on the roundabout. Mirrors are everything. Trust me. Been driving over 30 years. :)
Lovely video. Very high quality footage, amazing animations, useful commentary, very well presented and edited.
Got my driving test on the 30th and was recommended this channel by a friend... Great content and super interesting to see where people make common mistakes without realising.
I just wanted to say thank you for these videos. I can't tell you how helpful I found them. I passed my test first time on 20th December with 4 driver faults and, along with having a great instructor, videos from a few UA-cam channels, including this one, were a huge reason I passed. I did 43 hours of lessons and maybe 3 or 4 hours with my wife and watching these videos between lessons really helped me to 'get it' at home rather than having to wait til the next lesson! Cheers!
Thanks! Good luck on the road 🚙👍🏼
Signals before looking is the main problem ive spotted here, Treat your indicators as your feet, You would never step out without looking First. 😁😂
Sorry, that makes no logical sense. A signal is a signal, not an act or movement. I can *signal* my intention to take an action, and never take it if it is not safe. So, given that logic, what is the harm in signalling first and checking to see that it is safe to proceed second? To my mind, that makes way more sense. In the time between checking and signalling, the situation could change. So, to be completely safe you have to check, signal, then check again to make sure it is safe to make the maneuver. Skip the first check... signal your intention, then check to see it is safe to proceed.
@@marksmith2738 your so right, finally found a comment with someone who agrees with me
@@marksmith2738 I think the reason for this, is so you dont signal to turn right as someone is coming up your right side. I know it sounds silly, but it can scare the driver and cause him to hard brake, even though you intended to go behind them. Ive driven motorbikes for some years, and one thing I have noticed is that people signal as they turn, not before they turn. Its incredibly frustrating to see! When you are turning right, its pretty obvious you are turning right, as your whole vehicle is moving the the right, why do people indicate so late? The indicator lets me know BEFORE hand that you intend to turn right, that's why its called an INDICATOR!!?!?!?!?!?
I remember when I did my test (only 2 weeks ago). Yes it's very important to look at your blind spots in a test, otherwise it's easily a minor fault. Just a word of caution, if you get the emergency stop, ALWAYS look around you before moving off!
Would like to add check both blind spots after an emergency stop
Why did I feel nervous watching this when I passed my test like 2 years ago hahaha 🙈
This is fantastic to watch, made me aware I'm doing the same mistake as Emma. Thanks!
As a Mexican who's interested in acquiring as many good driving skills and habits as possible, I must say I've learnt a lot from watching videos about the UK driving test, such as what distances to keep in different climate conditions and when to look at the mirrors while driving.
I wish driving tests in my country were this rigorous because this is what mainly prevents accidents from happening on the roads (along with proper police vigilance), which is something that's urgent in Mexico. The big majority (if not all) of our driving tests are a joke in comparison.
At least I want to feel like I'm doing my part trying to be a good citizen in this context, so these videos are quite helpful in becoming a better driver.
That’s a good attitude to have - hopefully your extra skills will help you stay safe on the road. Thanks for watching!
Passed it right now. And came to thank you for all the videos. They were really helpful!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Fantastic! Thanks very much for your time and sharing this with us.
I like your video's, everything nice and clear! Thanks make more mock test video.
I loved that your included automatic transmission mock test, thank you so much, will be waiting for more.
fantastic video!thank you for uploading this! I love it and it's very useful!
I took my test recently and passed. My driving examiner didn’t tell me what I did wrong. She just told me i was fine.
I like Pizza That means you got no faults!
had my 2nd lesson today and my clutch control has improved thanks to your clutch video
Good videos to reflect on our mistakes
Great video👍 Thanks Emma.
This was an interesting and helpful video, thanks to Emma for letting her driving be put under scrutiny. Hopefully she will be more aware of her mirrors, checking them, after this mock test.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, it was brave of Emma to agree to be filmed so that everyone can see how she drove!

Very well done - good luck driving on your own 🚘👌🏼
I think that you have help me to prepare for a 2 driving test with VNTZ and I have been amaze about how you do your driving test before you start
What's the point of driver checking mirror in a traffic jam before braking? What safety reson behind that? What will changes if I notice the car isn't slowing down? will speed up and crash in car font of me first? Silly!
yeah i thought this rule.is stupid also
True
It gives you time to get out the car and RUN!!! 😂😂😂
It’s give u time to prepare your self for the crush. I know many ppl broken their necks coz they didn’t lay heads on the seat before the crunch from behind
Meshal Lonely u know ‘many’ people that have broken, I repeat, BROKEN their necks for that exact reason....I find that hard to believe. Plus how else would their head be placed if they are driving?? They’re not gonna be laying on the wheel
Thanks for these videos! They were extremely helpful, just passed today, 7 minors but im over the moon!
Very well done :-)
When I had my test 03/12/2018. The 40 minute drive was gone in a flash. Watching this 33 min video feels so long. Great video! 👍 Btw I received my full photo card today ☺️
Well done - enjoy your new licence :-)
Congratulations!
Bravo
How long does is it take to get the license after passing the test?

This is Very Helping Video Thanks🙏🏽
Very helpful!
Tbh, I wouldn’t check the mirrors when I slow down just a tad.
Very helpful.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS EFFORT, WAS GREAT HELP. STAY SAFE.
This is probably the best most thorough real world driving test I've seen, encompassing all types of driving, City Highway, Rural, and Parking lot. You have a very good system over in the UK! Now if we can only get you Brits to drive on the right side of the road
British do their things different 😂😂
I am flying with a F-35 fighter Jet,
But I failed my driving test.
Ooooo you’re hard
My driving instructor has never told me to check my mirrors before I brake. Now I’m wondering what else I’m missing. 😥
Did you pass ?
@@rickbevington7030 😅🤣🤣
Well I don’t mean to be rude I’ve been with three instructors all are useless, and majority of instructors I don’t know how they become even instructors, great we have this channels directing us as learners, he never told me how to deal with meetings situations and lot of thing messing out, lot of money as well lot of hours and same mistakes I try to pick as much as I can to get ready on next Monday 😢
Very helpful information
That video certainly emphasised a very comment fault among drivers regarding mirror checks before signalling. It was interesting to see that over the shoulder checks were frequently used during the drive. As an experience driver I find these videos a useful way to keep up to date and remind me that the basics are important.
I was a full licence motorcyclist before I passed my test first time this year. So observation and shoulder checks became natural and an absolute must to reassure myself that nothing was obscuring my view. It just took 20 hours of tuition to pass, so to become a good driver it helps to ride a motorcycle where observation of your surroundings becomes natural due to your vulnerability.
@@EinkOLED I am doing my test in a few hours. Like you i am an experienced motorcyclist. I took 3 two hour lessons for a total of 6 hours tuition yet he says my driving is more than good enough for a test pass.
Like you say its all about observations, they are a bikers number one defence on the roads and with the car test they seem to want car drivers up to the standard bikes have used for decades.I am confident in my driving ability, so far i have been surprised if anything by how easy cars are to drive compared to bikes. There is so much less to worry about haha.
Forgetting the simple things, mirror checks, signalling, especially when automatic, serious problems
She checked them just in the wrong order. Maybe she wasn't taught them correctly. Not every instructor is a good one
Thank you so much for this video🙏🏻 today i had my test, God is Great...i passed at first attempt 🎉😭(my only mistake was to drive slowly- at 20 km/h- at some point where the road was clear; they said i was impeding those behind me unnessarily😅) else, this video had helped me a lot in realising simple mistakes which i was also making. Thanks a lot to your team and to Emma , God Bless🙏🏻💕
Well done for passing! Good luck driving on your own 🚙😃
Congratulations dear!! This is such good news! I do mine on Monday!
Thank you very much... 😃
thank you, sorry if i'm late but best of luck🌸
Thanks for the video
Thanks 🙏🏾 guys so helpful
I got test Friday
Good luck!
wow the mirror check is a bit excessive isnt it. i know its "law" but you expect a mirror check when changing speed, you change speed like every minute when driving you expect mirror checks every time you change a gear and speed, she was checking her mirrors with her eyes, you want her to do a full head turn, which she can lose focus infront of her if her head is turned away for even a second. bit excessive too strict
Once you pass your test you don't have to check your mirrors every 7 seconds, but they want to drill it into your head that the mirrors arnt just there for show.
I'm only watching this because I'm learning in a manual. Automatics look far more easier to drive! I might consider getting one in future 🙂
Loved it 😎
nice video was helpful
Box ticking excercise. You wouldn't drive like this after you pass your test.
Bilguun Nyamaa exactly
If everyone drove like this less people would die
Bang on. She drove fine - better than most on the road. I'd get in a car with her 👍.

Congratulations! Send good vibes my way! Mine is on Monday, the 20th of May. I’m very positive I’ll pass this time round!
Clicked on a driving test video and when Emma pulls out of the car park I was thinking this road looks similar to St Andrews Street in Bury St Edmunds then I realise that it was the bus station and as you got to the top of the road that it was Bury.
I still love continuing to watching these kind of videos even though I passed yesterday !
Thanks - and very well done! 👍🏼🚗😉
Had my test today and passed with only 2 minors!! Great video once again 🤙
Excellent driving - well done! 🚗😎👍🏼
Thank you. The videos were a great help!!
Sorry but why do you need to check your mirrors when your stopping at a junction, behind a queue of traffic and for people who are crossing the road? i’m 16 so haven’t started learning yet so i’d just like to know if there’s an actual reason behind it or if it’s just to get you into the habit of checking all your mirrors before you do anything?
We need to check how close any following traffic is before we change our speed or stop, as if we are being tailgated then we can brake earlier and more gently to reduce the chance of being rear-ended. The routine we should try to follow (except in emergencies) is Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre - we have made a video about it here; ua-cam.com/video/j5DMGzlIzSY/v-deo.html
My test is on the 4th of February, this video has boosted my confidence 😄
Hello There, a great Mock Test Video, thank you for sharing this, it's very useful and much appreciated. Cheers Peter :)
I passed my test a few weeks ago first time 1 fault... all I can say is if you have practiced loads and remember to always check mirrors/ blind spots it is ridiculously easy and will seem like it’s done in 15 minutes
She has to check her mirrors before indicating so she doesnt hit someone with an indicator lmao wtf legit a box ticking exercise
It's because the examiner is checking that she follows the recommended Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre routine. If we can't get that right on the test then we won't be safe to drive on our own afterwards - so he won't tick the 'safe driver' box.....
tahm kench with that 200iq driving outplay
She did really well, its just the faults were building up over again, I know its hard when you don't realise as the driver, eyes focused on the road. Whilst examinar taking notes. I'm sure she will pass second time, great video really helpful.
this was a mock, she has already passed her test before this
I’m taking me lessons and my test is in next two weeks.
This video give me better views.
Hopefully in my next lesson tomorrow I will drive better.
I found it very helpful.
Good luck!
It’s so obvious to check your Mirrors before signalling now that I am an experienced driver. I think a good tip for learners is to get over the nervousness and just think logically...
I took my driving lessons in Camborne Cornwall in 2018
first time I failed with 9 minus faults & 1 serious fault.
Second time I failed with 6 minus faults & 1 serious fault
Third time I forgot my license & they didn’t allowed me to drive
And finally fourth time I passed my driving test with only 3 minus faults.
Anyone who wants to take their lessons always focus on your observations & speed & don’t forget to have your license with you all the time
Wish you all the best in your exam
I have my 2nd test coming up very soon. I think I am more nervous this time than the last one!! Arrrrregh I just soooooo need to pass no pressure 🙀 Congratulations on passing your driving test 😊
Very good, thanks
Oh there are driving school in the uk. Woah, that is a difficult test. Always remember to look the mirrors before signaling. Very good.

Hi I'm from Mauritius 😉 wooww in your country it seems hard to get license ...... hats off like really 40 mins of test...... in Mauritius our test drive last only for 2 min or less because most of our time get kills in traffic jam and the easy part we only have to be careful about the road signs..instructions and change lanes that all we have to do 🤗 the funniest part is that all of that is easy like a piece of cake but we still fail and have to come 3 4 times more to get license... tomorrow will be my third time going for the test drive 🙄 lots of love 🤗
Thanks for your comment - and good luck on your test! 🚙😎
😏🤗👍🤟 I have finally got my license and yup i did only one mistake by changing lane i pass too near a vehicle
Very helpful
Great video to learn !!
how many driver faults and serious faults are allowed before failing. I understand up to 16 minor faults are legally allowed. But in her case after every 4 mirror faults, it was upgraded to serious faults, which means lane driving and being a careful driver on roads doesn't mean any safe for driving instructors!
What they were looking for mirror checks@#$%
there’s a brick walk behind you what do you mean blind spot
Your blind spots aren’t behind you, they are over both shoulders to the side of the car.
Advance Driving School spoof
If I was asked _''how would you know there was a problem with my ABS?''_ I'd reply: _''Well, the vehicle didn't slow down as expected when I encountered the hazard that required me to press heavy on the brakes. Instead of slowing me to a controlled stop, my vehicle carried on regardless, and I ended up implanted into the rear of the vehicle in front. And that was the point where I suspected there 'may' have been a problem with my ABS''._ Followed by: _''Certainly Officer, I don't mind blowing into that...''_
I think it is really a good idea to tell them about the answer me Question
I remember checking my mirrors as a vehicle in front stopped, I checked, pulled out and carried on, got a failure for not checking my mirrors, even when I literally moved my head. she said it wasn't quite to her liking.

So helpful - and so easy to make mistakes!
I had concerns about her safety procedures and msm technics too and her crossing arm on steering and letting steering wheel rotate by itself in a test situation was also a concern..hopefully she was advised to check her mirrors more and apply the msm technics.
Very informative video.
Crossing hands and letting the wheel rotate by itself is not the best idea, but would not be marked down on a driving test, this is a misconception. They just want to make sure you are steering the correct amount, i.e. not too much or too little.
@@UKDrivingTest Feeding the steering wheel has been proven to be more dangerous in a lot of situations.

As a Canadian driver, there are couple of things I'd like to point out:
9:03 No [right] blind spot check after a halt
Thanks for your comment. In the UK, it isn’t compulsory to indicate before every manoeuvre. Of course, we should indicate if someone else will benefit - but it’s ok not to if there isn’t anyone nearby.
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool I see, thank you for the clarification. Frankly, I quite like the idea of "independent driving" section. Candidates have to drive confidently and cautiously while following the current traffic patterns and traffic signs to reach to the designated location without step-by-step instructions given by the examiner. It tests new drivers' ability of observation skills (e.g. looking for the correct exit at the roundabouts) and proper manoeuvre (e.g. taking a diversion, looking out for road works). I wish we have this section for our drivers' road test too.
P.S. Best of luck to all the road test candidates. Stay safe.
:( Checking mirrors before slowing the car to let the pedestrian pass is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PRACTICE and should be removed from exam rules ASAP. The pedestrian SAFETY GOES FIRST. Young drivers please look on the road (as soon as you pass your exam of course) in stead of the mirrors all the time. The mirrors are important but looking ahead may save someones life.
She's missing a lot of mirrors, isn't she?
Too right way too many

I got anxious just watching this
Guys I have just failed my test today. I had two minors and one major mistake. The major mistake was that I was driving 22-25 mph on a 20 mph road. I did not checked the road signs and I trusted that TomTom satnav. DO NOT TRUST TomTom haha. Overall I am satisfied because I feel like a confident driver. It is not the end of the world. I took a selfie with that 20mph road sign that failed me today and next time I will not trust TomTom. I hope my story will help you guys. Best of luck!
FOCUS ON THE TRAFFIC SIGN!
I will always remember this.
By the way this was my first attempt!
That's unfortunate! It's not just TomTom though - every sat-nav has a few errors here and there. You can trust the road signs and markings, but treat any sat-nav guidance as advice - that you can take or leave. Better luck next time :-)
Advance Driving School I will pay more attention to road signs next time, thank you very much.
